Argus C. Barens
Argus C. (Shorty) Barens, 80, of Sonora, formerly of Johnson County, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, in Springdale.
He was a native of Fallsville, son of the late Oliver E. and Nellie Rhodes Barens, Army veteran, and was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Martha Barens; three brothers, Tony, Buford, and Keelan Barens; and three sisters, Walsie Perry, Juneta Bollinger and Irene Blair.
Survivors are four children, Judy Bowen of Alma, Ronnie Barens of Witter, Alvin Barens of Springdale, and Barbara Clifton-Hackwith of Springdale; five sisters, Laneta Campbell of Tulsa, Okla., Delva Montag of Broken Arrow, Okla., Artibell Burton of Elkins, and Wilma Robinson and Frances Byrd, both of Springdale; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Case officiating. Burial followed at 2 p.m. at the Belt cemetery in Ozark.
Daniel Lyn Soard
Daniel Lyn Soard, 21, of Salem, Mo., grandson of John Soard of Clarksville, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at St. Louis, Mo.
Other survivors include his parents, Jerry and Megan Soard of Salem, Mo.; one child, Ashton Levi Soard of Bunker, Mo.; two sisters, Christy Sue Vallejo and husband, Gabriel, and Rebecca Soard of Salem, Mo., and grandparents, Brad and Sue Richardson of Inkom, Idaho, and Lois Wood of Huntsville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, March 3, at Stillwell Bible Baptist Church north of Clarksville with Rev. Jim Goodman officiating.
Burial was in Stillwell cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Deborah A. Molder
Deborah A. Molder, 51, of Altus died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommey Franklin Willis; and one brother, Tommey Ray Willis.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Molder Sr.; one son, Gary Mike Molder Jr. of Altus; mother, Modena W. Smith of Knoxville; one sister, Carolyn Rhoads of Las Vegas, Nev.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home with Rev. George Willis officiating. Burial was at Deer cemetery.
Donald C. Cotton
Donald Clyde Cotton, 33, of Clarksville died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was a native of Clarksville, graduate of Clarksville High School, and son of the late Edna Marie Perry Cotton.
Survivors include his father, Leroy Cotton of Clarksville; one sister, Laura Lee Austin of Fort Smith; four brothers, Eddie Cotton and wife, Pamela, Michael Cotton, Roy Cotton and wife, Shela, and Jimmy Cotton, all of Clarksville; and nieces and nephews, Brandon Cotton, LaTeasha Cotton, Tylee Cotton, LaKeisha Pelts, China Ray, Jordan Ray, and Lakelyn Cotton.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Hickman officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Thomas Perry, Glenn Willis, Andrew May, Willie Owings, Chance Butchner, William Cotton, Richard Cotton, Lester Green, George Tate Sr., Patrick Baker, Tyrone Willis and Steven Willis.
Honorary pallbearers were Clifford May, Jeffery West, Virgil Willis, and Brandon Cotton.
Eula L. Bly
Eula L. Bly, 98, of Clarksville died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late John S. and Maggie Poteet Rhett, widow of Elmer Bly, member of Jamestown Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by one son, Sonny Bly; and one daughter, Flossie Bly.
Survivors include two sons, David Bly of Florida and Mike Bly of Green River, Wyo.; one sister, Maggie Bly of Hackett; and numerous grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Holt officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Claude Bly, John Bly, Jackie Daniel, George Findley, Sonny Barron, and Don Brewer.
James E. Reano
James Edward Reano, 71, of Ozark, grandfather of Tiffany Reano of Clarksville, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, in Ozark.
He was a son of the late James P. and Ruby Bartolich Reano, native of Jenny Lind, retired executive director of the Ozark Housing Authority, member of Jenny Lind Church of Christ, Ozark Masonic Lodge and Jenny Lind Lodge No. 503, honorary member of the Coal Hill Masonic Lodge No. 383, former district deputy of Masonic Lodge of District 28, and member of the Fort Smith Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife, Dovie Rodgers Reano; two sons, Steve and Scott Reano, both of Ozark; two brothers, Joe Reano of Jenny Lind and Pete Reano of Huntington; two other grandchildren, Jared Reano of Russellville and Kevin Reano of Ozark.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Ted Darling officiating. Masonic graveside rites followed at Highland cemetery in Ozark.
Pallbearers were Matt Coleman, Jarrod Burns, Davy Joe Kinney, Scott Jessup, John Warren, and John Parrish.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews.

Kenneth R. Brown
Kenneth R. Brown, 79, of Lamar died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
A son of the late Charley and Ocie Mae Hankins Brown, he was a native of Lamar, construction estimator, Baptist minister, member of Knoxville First Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Brown; four sons, Kerry Brown and wife, Joyce, of Mountainburg, Stephen Brown and wife, Beverly, of Clarksville, David Brown and wife, Joan, of Knoxville, and Bryan Brown and wife, Michele, of Lamar; one daughter, Rhonda Pitts and husband, Lloyd, of Clarksville; five brothers, W. A. Brown of Ozone, Ronald Brown of Bryan, Texas, Paul Brown of Wichita, Kan., and Charles Brown and Edward Brown, both of Lamar; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Knoxville First Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Snyder and Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Kenneth W. Turner
Kenneth William Turner, 83, of Lamar died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville.
He was a son of the late Alfred Burl and Lena Pearl Turner, Air Force veteran, member of Lamar Baptist Church and Bunch Walton Post No. 22 of the American Legion, retired saw mill employee and logger, and was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Turner; one son, James Dale Turner; and three brothers, Ray, Fay and Arnold Turner.
He is survived by three daughters, Kathy Dyer, Lynne Nichols and Rita Kraus, all of Lamar; one son, Bill Turner of Lamar; two brothers, Ottis Turner of Portland, Ore., and Burl Wayne Turner of Pomona, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, Jamie Taylor, Becky Taylor, Erica Thomas, Alfred Milam, Shauna Milam, Matt Needham, Ashley Stewart, K. T. Turner, Ryan Turner, William Turner, and Cody Kraus; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Burial will be in Reynolds cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jamie Taylor, K. T. Turner, Ryan Turner, William Turner, Cody Kraus, and Jerry Davis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Killough, Wayne Wilkins, Bud Parker, Harold Parker, Allen Thomas, and Rowdy Hodges.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
