Burley R. Mickey

Graveside services and burial for Burley Ray Mickey, 79, of Ratcliff, who died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006, at his home, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the Lone Pine cemetery near Clarksville. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
Active pallbearers will be Tony Fowler, Mathew Doolan, Daniel Zuniga, Kelly Doolan, Randle Wyers Jr., and Wesley Richardson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clinton Fowler, Bill Doolan, Stanley Richardson, and John (Fish) Armstrong.
A native of Pie Town, N. M., he was a son of the late Burley E. and Annie Ellis Nickell Mickey, captain for the California Department of Forestry, World War II Army veteran, member of the Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly L. Lewis Mickey; and two sisters, Elva Hampton and Leta Branum.
Survivors include four daughters, Roberta Doolan of Ozark, Bobbie Richardson of Ratcliff, and Tura Fowler and Eva Shepherd, both of Muskogee, Okla.; five brothers, Joe Mickey of Lompoc, Calif., Huck Mickey of Stockton, Calif., Roy Mickey of Oceano, Calif., Bobby Mickey of Palm Desert, Calif., and Tom Mickey of Rantoul, Ill.; 28 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Clero Mullins

Clero Mullins, 103, of Patterson Springs died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late William and Onnie Acord Mullins, retired farmer, Baptist, and preceded in death by his wife, Alda Mullins; one daughter, Dew Yates; and one grandson, Dr. David Mullins.
He is survived by one daughter, Wilma Tate of Wichita, Kan.; three sons, Loren Mullins of Clarksville, Herla Mullins of Ozone, and Darious Mullins of Winslow; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at Pine Grove cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Junior Mullins, Gerald Sanders, Gary Yates, Darrell Tate, David Heng, and Josh Freeman.

Donna R. Moye

Donna R. Moye, 57, of Huntington died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, in a Fort Smith hospital.
She was a daughter of the late Floyd and Mary Anna Armstrong of Clarksville, retired certified nurses aide at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center, veteran of the U. S. Air Force, and was preceded in death by one brother, John Douglas Armstrong of Hackett; and one sister, Rachel Jones of Bonanza.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie W. Bunton and wife, Misti, of Huntington and Marlin (Marty) Biazo II and wife, Fleshia, of Hackett; two daughters, Dana D. Blackwell of Dalton, Ga., and Anna J. Ewing and husband, Randy Ewing Jr., of Fort Smith; one sister, Wanda Jewel (Judy) Davis of Enid, Okla.; and eight grandchildren, Katie, John, Tiffany, Amber, Joshua, Makenna, Jaymi, and Marie.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Pleasant Hill cemetery at Hackett.
Pallbearers were Kyle Woody, Joseph Ewing, Randy Johnson, Calvin Null, Robert Smith, and Justin Reading.

Dorotha Vanover

Dorotha Marie Vanover, 77, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Oark, daughter of the late Robert Kennedy, widow of Lincoln R. Vanover, attended the Assembly of God Church, and was employed for several years in the five and dime stores and in the poultry industry. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jo Ann Vanover; and one brother, Jack Kennedy.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Vanover of Clarksville, Deborah Hammontree of Pineville, Mo., and Sandra Freeman of Springdale; two sons, Richard Vanover and Phillip Vanover, both of Lamar; mother, Kizzie Head of Clarksville; three sisters, Velma Valdovines and Loretta Everhart, both of Columbia, Mo., and Merle Acord of Clarksville; two brothers, John Kennedy of Ashland, Ky., and Tom Kennedy of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Lisa Vanover, Larry Vanover, Phillip Vanover, Ami Freeman, Jacob Freeman, and Chastity, Alicia, and Jessica Vanover; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dade Kindrix officiating. Burial was in Yale cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry Vanover, Colin Payton, Chris Payton, Kenneth Kennedy, Phil Vanover, Rick Harp, Johnny Hall, and Brad Maddox.

Gerald W. English

Gerald Wayne English, 74, of Altus, grandfather of Roxie Casey of Clarksville, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, in Ozark.
A native of Altus, he was a son of the late Robert and Frankie Morris English, Army veteran of the Korean War, former sheet metal specialist, and was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline June Allred English; and two brothers, Carl and Bob English.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Bryant Keith English, both of Altus; two sisters, Ruby English of Bakersfield, Calif., and Juanita Salder of Enis, Texas; four other grandchildren, Chris English, Ashley Milholland and Bryan Tyler English, all of Altus, and Bradley English of Dover; and four great-grandchildren, Makayla and Nicholas Milholland of Altus and Cora and Treyton Casey of Clarksville.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Highland cemetery with Pastor Charles Hefley officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Nelda Simers

Nelda Ruth Booher Simers, 66, of London died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at her home.
She was a native of London, daughter of the late Thomas C. and Bessie Vinson Booher, graduate of Russellville High School, seamstress, retired Rainbows United receptionist, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Johnny Booher; and one sister, Anna Mae Booher.
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Charles Simers; two stepsons and spouses, Charles Patrick and Teresa Simers of Indian Trails, N. C., and Tracy Alan and LaNita Simers of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Herbert (Herb) Booher of Russellville; sister and brother-in-law, Gladine and Jim Parker of London; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Atha and Scott McNay of Wichita, Kan.; three step-grandchildren, Savannah, Sierra, and Catlin Simers, all of Indian Trails, N. C.; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at Shinn Funeral Chapel in Russellville with Rev. Bobby Johnson officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville.
Active pallbearers were Danny Booher, Jeromy Carpenter, Josh Fonville, Glen Parker, Shawn Hughes, and Terry White.
Honorary pallbearers were Don White, Charles Cochran, and Jim Parker.

Robert E. Daniel

Robert E. Daniel, 74, of Clarksville died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Lamar, he was a son of the late Daniel Webster and Dorothy Maude Killough Daniel; 1949 graduate of Lamar High School, retired lumber industry and real estate business employee and was a 21-year drilling rig employee.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Cowell Daniel; one daughter, Teresa Palmer and husband, Manvil, of Lamar; three sons, Bobby Joe Daniel and Kim Daniel and wife, Karen, all of Lamar, and Vincent Daniel and wife, Beth, of Fayetteville; three sisters, Catherine Davis of Seattle, Wash., Wanda Pearson of Lamar, and Nita Lewis of Clarksville; one brother, Dan Daniel of Olympia, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tom Dicus officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Michael Daniel, Josh Pry, Adam Daniel, Brett Daniel, Kevin Newman, and Shawn Weldon.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Cowell, Dwight Cowell, Randy Cowell and Randy Warren.

Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams, 64, of Clarksville died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Baskin and Verla Tidwell Gardner, widow of Aubry Happle (Dave) Williams, and was preceded in death by one son, Donnie Richardson; and one sister, Patsy Gardner.
She is survived by one daughter, Verla Kaye Clifton of Clarksville; three sons, David Williams and Roy Dean Williams, both of Ozark, and Roy Gene Williams of Clarksville; one stepson, Thomas Allen Williams of Onalaska, Texas; four stepdaughters, Velma Gilmer and Patsy Sparks, both of Clarksville, and Elsie King and Laura Stone, both of Sikeston, Mo.; two sisters, Martha Hyde and Brenda Thomas, both of Missouri; two brothers, Rex Gardner and Lee Gardner, both of Missouri; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and companion, Jess Shelton.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Leo Villines officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joseph Morehead, Brian Fetters, Brian Jones, David Williams II, Chris Keener, and Sean Smith.
