Andy James Martin

Andy James Martin, 82, of Sapulpa, Okla., formerly of Johnson County, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at Continuous Care Center in Sapulpa, Okla.
He was a son of the late Alex (Elick) and Ida Mayes Martin, retired employee of the wood industry, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Franky Martin and Haskel Martin, and three sisters, Alta Hill, Evon Maruks and Lois Ray.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Heavener of Lamar and Sue Herd of Sapulpa, Okla.; one son, Odis Martin of Sapulpa, Okla.; three sisters, Avo Hubbard of Grannis, Geneva Lyman of Eureka, Calif., and Norma O'Connor of Ozark; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Oark cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bryan Heavener, Charles Karr, Darrien Warren, Jody Smith, Perry Herd, and Charles Martin.

Frona R. Puckett

Frona Ruth Puckett, 69, of Pottsville died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at her home.
A native of the Spadra Community, she was a daughter of the late Claude H. and Letitia Jane Blevins Ledbetter, retired public schools secretary, and a member of the Pottsville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold R. Puckett; one daughter, Della Ledbetter and husband, Jim, of Dardanelle; two sons, C. H. Puckett and wife, Pam, of Russellville and Gerard Puckett of Cumberland, Md.; one brother, Harry Ledbetter of Abita Springs, La.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The body will be cremated and the cremains buried at Union Grove cemetery west of Clarksville. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Gorman O'Neal

Gorman O'Neal, 79, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, in the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville.
He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Omer Lee and Carrie Mae Peters O'Neal, Army veteran of World War II, attended Clarksville Schools, retired Ford dealer and was preceded in death by one son, Reggie O'Neal, and two brothers, Boyd and Troy O'Neal.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy O'Neal; two daughters, Debbie Thompson of Van Buren and Zelinda Baker of Fort Smith; two sisters, Hazel Holt of Springdale and Audrey Edwards of Fort Smith; two brothers, twin, Norman O'Neal of Van Buren and Bill O'Neal of Coal Hill; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Oakland cemetery with Rev. Larry Horne officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Michael Fuhrmann

Brother Michael Fuhrmann, O.S.B., 85, monk of Subiaco Abbey, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, in the Abbey Health Center.
He was born Paul Fuhrmann in Centralia, Okla., on March 26, 1920, a former resident of Lindsay, Texas, 1937 graduate of St. Peter School, served as a sergeant in the 394th Bombardment Squadron of the Army Air Force stationed in the Pacific in World War II where he was the recipient of one Service Stripe, four Overseas Service Bars, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Medal with eight Bronze Stars, Philippine Liberation Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and one Oak Leaf Cluster with Distinguished Unit Badge, farmer, mechanic, forester, sawmill operator, laundry and swineherd manager, vintner, and professed his monastic vows on March 19, 1950, receiving the religious name of Michael.
He is survived by one brother, Father Bruno Fuhrmann, O.S.B, of Subiaco Abbey; and four sisters, Anastasia Klein of Topeka, Kan., Juliana Grewing of Muenster, Texas, Mary Stoffels of Gainesville, Texas, and Agnes Gully of Sioux Falls, S. D.
A Christian Wake service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4. The Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in St. Benedict Church at Subiaco.
Burial was in the Abbey cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.

Mary F. Lundquist

Mary Frances (Pansy) Lundquist, 85, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Gillespie, Ill., daughter of the late Joseph L. and Edith McLain Lundquist, Methodist, graduate of Deepwater (Missouri) High School, former employee of Ben Franklin Store and Wal-Mart Store, and was preceded in death by one brother, Robert W. Lundquist.
Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law, Charlotte McSwain of Clarksville and Peggy and George Diffin of Bentonville; three nieces, Edith Lou Sparks and husband, Hank, of Clarksville, Luanne Diffin of Farmington, and Janelle Wright of Phoenix, Ariz.; one nephew, Joe Lundquist and wife, Johnnie, of Ozone; three great-nephews, one great-niece, and three great-great-nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Oakland cemetery with Rev. Billy Usery officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Natasha P. Maness

Natasha Pearl Maness, 21, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at UAMS in Little Rock.
She was a home healthcare provider, graduate of Clarksville High School, Baptist, and was preceded in death by one sister, Ashley Brook Maness.
She is survived by her mother, Thelma Maness of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
The body was cremated.
Active pallbearers were Ernie Hardgrave, Tony Jones, Matthew Stockdale, Joe Balkcom, Davy Lowe, and Jason Stockdale.
Honorary pallbearers were Wesley Baker, Bobby Balkcom, Kevin Baker, Steven Seekins, and Jim Evans.

Ruth Opheim

Ruth Opheim, 104, of Lamar died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of New York, daughter of the late George and Ida Mae Rogers Sandles, and widow of Melford Henry Opheim.
She has no survivors.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at the Hartman cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Allen M. Stepp

Allen Michael Stepp, 30, of Clarksville died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He attended Forrester-Davis Development Center.
Survivors include his parents, Michael Duane Stepp and Sharas J. Flansburg Stepp of Clarksville; and grandparents, Duane and Delores Stepp of Hartman and Bonnie Flansburg of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Holt officiating. Burial was in West Mt Zion cemetery.
Pallbearers were Arron Stepp, Ben Stepp, Dustin Stepp, Butch Stockdale, Randy Allen, and Jimmy Walker.
