Gary W. Moore

Gary Wayne Moore, 49, of Clarksville died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a welder, veteran of the United States Army, son of the late Billy Moore, and was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Wayne Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Patton Moore; one daughter, Leanda Moore Kendall of Clarksville; one son, Britt Moore of Clarksville; mother, Joyce Pritchett Libhart of Pauls Valley, Okla.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Franklin and Madia Patton of Clarksville; one brother, Earl Mix of Reno, Nev.; five sisters, Patti Judd of Tracy, Calif., Marilyn Taylor and Nancy Soto, both of Lathrop, Calif., Sharon Robertson of Ceres, Calif., and Darlene Sims of Manteca, Calif.; one brother-in-law, Pat Patton and wife, Judy, of Clarksville; and two grandchildren, Britlyn Kendall of Clarksville and Kenzie Moore of Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Lone Pine cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Don Childers, Larry Gilbert, Pat Patton, Rob Seaman, Mike Burnett, David Owens, Mike Sims, and Rob Pelts.

John W. Moores Jr.

John W. Moores Jr., 71, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at his home.
He was a native of Fayetteville, son of the late Carrie Elizabeth (Mackrell) and John William Moores Sr., Army veteran and a retired oil rig mechanic.
He is survived by two daughters, Nelda Jan Groff and Lillie Kay Palmeiter, both of Dallas, Texas; two sons, John W. Moores III of Clarksville and Brandon Charles Moores Sr. of Dover; two stepsons, Billy Perry of Hartman and Jimmy Perry of Altus; one stepdaughter, Marie Burchert of Oklahoma; one sister, Nelda Jean Hall of Rankin, Texas; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four step-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Milloway officiating. Burial was in Blanscent cemetery at Altus.
Pallbearers were John Moores III, Cody Moores, Cory Moores, Brandon Moores, Billy Perry, and Eddie Morse.

Kenneth W. Marler

Kenneth William Marler, 73, of Nevada died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at Northern Nevada Regional Hospital.
A native of Clarksville, he was a retired senior chief petty officer in the United States Navy, a veteran of 22 years and had served during the Korean War and Vietnam War.
He was a son of the late Willie and Edith Jewel Patton Marler and stepson of Julius Jesse (Don) Donaldson.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Marler; three children, Beth Preeschl of Florida, June Braaten of Nevada, and Steve Marler of Virginia; six grandchildren, Courtney, Laura, and Bruce Preeschl and Kenneth, Jared and Jesse Braaten; one aunt, Mary Patton Hard Rusher; and numerous cousins.

Lucretia Satterfield

Lucretia (Midge) Satterfield, 64, of Coal Hill died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at her home.
A native of Coal Hill, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Imogene Acord Crabtree, Baptist, and retired from Sara Lee Hosiery where she was employed as a machine operator and inspector. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Paula Muldoon.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Satterfield; five sons, Kevin Muldoon, Darryl Muldoon, Andy Satterfield and Rocky Satterfield, all of Coal Hill, and Bruce Dunlap of Scranton; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wendall Kellar officiating. Burial was in Coal Hill cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Randy Muldoon, Shannon Binyon, Brent Yates, Billy Bramlett, Randy Waits, and John Burke.
Honorary pallbearers were Arelevia Perry, Vida Bagsby, Leona Wyers, Betty Curtis, Ellie Sousa, Lynn Bartlett and Bradley Reynolds.

Rev. Noel C. Jones

Rev. Noel C. Jones, 83, of Lamar died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was an Army veteran having served in World War II, member of the Order of Eastern Star, Belle Grove Masonic Lodge No. 410 and the Freewill Baptist Church of Clarksville, and was preceded in death by his parents, Noah H. and Alpha Mae Allison Jones; first wife, Rheba L. Jones; second wife, Eva Jones; and one sister, Lucille Steel.
Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Johnston of Fort Smith, Brenda Burcham of Denver, Colo., and Paula Langley of Eureka, Calif.; two sons, Gary Jones of Midwest City, Okla., and Michael Jones of Marion, Ill.; three brothers, Noah Jones of Oklahoma City, Okla., Joe Jones of Salyer, Calif., and Wayne Jones of Mayfield, Kan.; one sister, Ernestine Tumbleson of Clarksville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. The body will be cremated.

Perry O. Johnson

Perry Ora Johnson, 94, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was an airplane mechanic supervisor with the U. S. Air Force, past master of the Masonic Lodge No. 941 in Elmhurst, Ill., past master of the Lamar and Knoxville Masonic Lodges, founder of the Johnson County Shrine Club, member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 516, master sergeant in the U. S. Air Force, delivered "Meals on Wheels" in Johnson County for eight-plus years, outreach worker for the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital, and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Clarksville where he was treasurer for 12 years and organizer of the Prayer Room.
He was a son of the late Perry W. and Lucy L. Probasco Johnson and was preceded in death by three brothers, Irvin, Gilbert and James Johnson; and three sisters, Elsie, Edna and Jesse.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Marie Johnson; two daughters, Patricia Howard of Cordova, Tenn., and Karen Wright of Mickleton, N. J.; five sons, Ronald Johnson of North Little Rock, Ted Johnson of Charleston, W. Va., Robert Johnson and Richard Johnson of West Chester, Pa., and Bob Jennings of Ballwin, Mo.; one sister, Muriel McConnell of Watseka, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Second Baptist Church in Clarksville with Rev. Tom Dicus, Rev. Bob Oden and Rev. Jerry Holcomb officiating.
Burial will be in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Johnson, Ted Johnson, Richard Johnson, Bob Jennings, Glenn Hickey, Ron Ashley, and Curt Kibler.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Opal J. Caplinger

Opal Juanita Caplinger, 81, of Altus died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at Fort Smith.
She was a daughter of the late Jackson Greene and Rema Bowles Sims, native of Denton County, Texas, widow of Willie LaVelle Caplinger, a Jehovah's Witness, and was preceded in death by one sister, Elsie Watson; two grandsons, James Keith Jones and Ronnie Wayne Jones; and son-in-law, Jimmy Jones.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruby Jones of Altus and LaNita Johnson of Ozark; two sisters, Pauline Watson and Hazel Woodard, both of Hurst, Texas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Don Friend officiating.

James O'Neal

James (Hawker) O'Neal, 80, of Coal Hill died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired dairyman, former REA employee, Pentecostal, native of Charleston and son of the late Chesley and Sarah Hughes O'Neal.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Woodard of Ozark and Barbara Ann O'Neal of Cecil; one son, Dennis O'Neal of Coal Hill; one sister, Marie Padron of Fort Smith; one brother, Kenneth O'Neal of Bakersfield, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Zeiler officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery at Ozark.
