Betty J. Hatcher

Betty Jane Hatcher, 62, of Paris, mother of Wayne Hatcher of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, in Paris.
She was a daughter of the late Stephen and Marie Adams Rennie, retired from the Paris Manufacturing Pants Factory, and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Jackie D. Hatcher; four other sons, Mark Hatcher of Scranton, David Hatcher and Michael Hatcher, both of Paris, and Patrick Hatcher of Crossroads; one sister, Jerri Cunningham of Altus; one brother, Robert Rennie of Denton, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Roller Chapel in Paris with burial in Oakwood cemetery at Paris.
Active pallbearers were Wayne, Mark, David, Michael and Patrick Hatcher, Craig Martin, and Billy Jack Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren.

Claudine K. Dillard

Claudine Kathleen Dillard, 76, of Lamar died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Cabin Creek Baptist Church, daughter of the late John L. and Ruby Mae Howard Gayle, and was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Gayle.
Survivors include her husband, Loyd Dillard; two daughters, Joyce Wilkins and husband, Don, and Judy Sparks and husband, Nelson, all of Lamar; five sons, Johnny Dillard and wife, Kathy, of Alexand-
ria, Va., Charles Dillard and wife, Phyllis, and Terry Dillard and wife, Shelley, all of Lamar, Larry Dillard and wife, Carolyn, of Van Buren, and Bryant Dillard and wife, Kim, of Fayetteville; two sisters, Corrine Shaeffer of Missouri and Barbara McCarley of Lamar; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the Cabin Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Ramsey officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Charley T. Mariott

Charley Thomas Mariott, 86, of Charleston, father of Charley Mariott Jr. of Lamar, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, in Charleston.
He was a deacon at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Charleston, World War II veteran, member of the 138 Engineer Combat Battalion, American Legion where he was past post commander, and the Arkansas/Oklahoma Poultry Association, Scimitar chaplain of the Fort Smith Shrine, and past worshipful master of Masonic Lodge 155, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife, Christina Mariott; four daughters, Helen Gantt of Charleston, Nancy Riddle of Lavaca, Martha Ullrich of Paris, and Debbie Phelps of Greenwood; one other son, Bill Mariott of Charleston; 19 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at the First Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the Garden of Memories in Charleston. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
Pallbearers will be Larry and Michael Gantt, Joseph Riddle, Todd, Nicholas and Aaron Mariott, and Jason and Marcus Ullrich.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Smith Mortuary in Charleston.

Junior Gervis Huff

Junior Gervis Huff, 87, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at his home in East Carbon, Utah.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late William Houston and Myrtle Morgan Huff, former resident of Altus, member of the Altus Baptist Church, served in the U. S. Army during World War II where he was awarded the Purple Heart while in Okinawa, member of the Disabled American Veterans, worked in the coal mines located in Superior, Wyo., the Sunshine Mine in Arkansas and Horse Canyon and Kaiser Steel Mines in Utah, and was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America Local No. 9958. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ada Jean Huff; two brothers, Clint Huff and John Huff; and one sister, Velma Kinman.
Survivors include his wife, Corene Crossno Huff; one son, Bo Huff of East Carbon, Utah; one daughter, Carolyn (Chuck) Abeyta of East Carbon, Utah; one sister, Opal Cox of Clarksville; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at noon Monday, Dec. 19, at Mitchell Funeral Home with burial in Valley View Ceme-
tery in Sunnyside, Utah.

Letha B. Hobbs

Funeral for Letha Bernice Hobbs, 44, of Bonner Springs, Kan., who died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oark cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Chris Lockhart, Waylon Ziesenis, Paul Mason, Doug Martin, Darrel Martin, and Rusty Martin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Martin, Doyle Martin, and Clyde Hammon.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle of Kansas City, Kan., and daughter of the late Amon Hobbs and Rosalee Martin.
Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Babb, Chancey Babb and Krister Chandler, all of Warner, Okla.; one brother, Wayne Rothmeyer of Bonner Springs, Kan.; one sister, Brenda Rothmeyer of Eufaula, Okla.; and one grandchild, Braxton Lee Babb.

Mary E. Schnitzius

Mary Evelyn Schnitzius, 76, of Paris, sister of Geraldine Felkins of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005.
She was a daughter of the late Pilot and Eunice Houston O'Neal, widow of John Schnitzius, retired nurse, and a Protestant.
She is survived by two sons, John W. Schnitzius and Fred P. Schnitzius, both of Paris; one other sister, Pearl Hudson of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Roller Chapel in Paris with burial in the Baxley cemetery at Paris.

Silas N. Thronebury

Silas Newton Thronebury, 89, of Wheatridge, Colo., formerly of Clarksville, died Nov. 21, 2005, at his home.
He was a native of Dillen and was preceded in death by his wife, Addie Lea Thronebury.
Survivors include two daughters, Verlene Leeburg and Debra Bloomer; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace in Wheatridge, Colo., followed by burial in Olinger Crown Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were Linn Leeburg, Paul Ashley, Robert Curtis, Michael Bloomer, Glenn Bloomer, and Ryan Ashley.

William E. Hill Sr.

William E. Hill Sr., 83, of Knoxville died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at his home.
A native of Alma, he was a son of the late Dewey Thomas and Essie Marie Harris Hill, Army veteran of World War II, where he was awarded the Purple Heart while fighting in Italy, retired Corps of Engineers employee, and a member of the Moose Club in Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Evia Baty Hill; one daughter, Suzann Richards of Knoxville; two sons, William Edward Hill Jr. and James Edward Hill, both of St. Louis, Mo.; two stepsons, Markus Carlisle of Cabot and Wesley Carlisle of Lubbock, Texas; three stepdaughters, Judy Harris and Ann Catlett, both of Jacksonville, and Shirley Washburn of Wrightsville; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harvey Hill of Cabot, L. D. Hill of Clarkton, Mo., Charles Hill of McCrory, and Walt Hill of Dumas; and four sisters, Faye Boatner and Lois Venable, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Shirley Shell of Ellsinore, Mo., and Pat Phillips of Clinton, Mo.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. R. Hill officiating. Burial was in Knoxville cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Hill, Carl Hill, Gabriel Hill, Steven Woodall, Cary Woodall, and Rodney Inman.
