Paul Hodges

Paul Hodges, 79, of Dexter, Mo., formerly of Johnson County, died Monday, May 2, 2005, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo.
He was a native of Parma, Mo., son of the late Martha Susan (Driskol) and Arthur Bell Hodges Sr., member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, Mo., former welder for General Motors in St. Louis, Mo., and was preceded in death by his wife, Nana Lou Jones Hodges; one son, Darrell Hodges; two brothers, Arthur Bell Hodges Jr. and Orville Duncan; and one sister, Pearl Bagsby.
Survivors include two sons, Doyal Hodges of St. Louis, Mo., and Patrick Hodges of Overland Park, Kan.; two daughters, Paula Ulmer of Treadwell, N. Y., and Katrina Hatfield of Fenton, Mo.; three sisters, Flora Ellen Jones of Clarksville, Pauline Jones of Arnold, Mo., and Alice Rhodes of California; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Mo., with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating. Burial was in Morgan Memorial Park cemetery at Advance, Mo.

Thelma Fowler

Thelma Jane Fowler, 65, of Hartman died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
She was a member of the Hartman Baptist Church and daughter of the late Harve Quinton and Myrtie Lucy Tumbleson White.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Dean Fowler; one daughter and son-in-law, Carmen Lisa and Dale Henderson of Hartman; one brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Norma White of Clarksville; and one grandchild, Steffanie Perry and husband, Tyrone, of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Grady Glass officiating. Burial was in Union Grove cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Terry White, Bryan White, Rocky White, Bob Rofkahr, Bob Fowler, and Floyd Hern.
Honorary pallbearers were men of the Hartman Baptist Church.

W. H. Tillery

W. H. Tillery, 83, of Fort Smith, brother of Clifford Tillery of Hartman, died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at his home.
A son of the late Eugene and Cena Dailey Tillery, he was a retired Pentecostal minister, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of New Bethel Assembly of God Church.
Other survivors are his wife, Dorothy Tillery; four daughters, Donna Weir and Deadra Masterson, both of Fort Smith, Onedia Oldridge of Lowell and DeAnna Woods of Dallas, Texas; one son, Dennis Tillery of Bella Vista; stepmother, Erva Tillery of Ozark; one sister, Mary Broyles of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was at noon Monday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the U. S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Scott Weir, Shelby Gipson, Brian Masterson, Aaron Batey, Kyle Daunis and LaDarrian Woods.
Memorials may be made to the Western Arkansas Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 320 North Greenwood, Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Cynthia W. McGrew

Cynthia Willis McGrew, 54, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Cecil Sutterfield of Clarksville.
She was a native of Little Rock, daughter of the late James P. and Martha Beard Willis, former resident of Pine Bluff, graduate of Pine Bluff High School and University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, former employee of Coca Cola and Beverly Enterprises, both of Fort Smith, attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Fort Smith, and was actively involved in fund-raising for Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House of Fort Smith and Girl Scouts of Fort Smith.
Other survivors include one brother and sister-in-law Mike and Lyn Willis of Houston, Texas; two nephews; three nieces; three grand-nieces; and companion, Orley Massena of Fort Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Fort Smith. Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Peachtree Hospice of Fort Smith, Johnson County Health Unit Hospice in Clarksville, Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House of Fort Smith, or St. John's Episcopal Church of Fort Smith.

Glenn A. Richardson

Glenn A. Richardson, 31, of the Flat Rock Community died Friday, May 13, 2005, at his home.
He was a native of Sikeston, Mo., son of the late Sedric Vanderfecht, and graduate of Lancaster (Pennsylvania) High School.
He is survived by one daughter, Kassi Richardson of Texas; two sons, Alexander Richardson and Kavin Richardson, both of Clarksville; mother, Judith Barlow of Festa, Mo.; grandmother, Janice Robinholt of Leola, Pa.; two sisters, Tammy Barlow of Festa, Mo., and Tina Richardson of Pueblo, Colo.; and two brothers, Sedric Richardson of the Flat Rock Community and Jay Richardson of Tahlequah, Okla.
The body was cremated. Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Josie Lee Dickson

Josie Lee Dickson, 63, of Mulberry, mother of Lona Santiago of Clarksville, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at her home.
She was an apartment manager, Baptist, native of Sidon, and daughter of the late Guy and Iva Watkins Dickson.
Survivors include two other daughters, Susan Garrison of California and Laura Sharrah of Van Buren; one son, Gary Garris of Pleasant Plains; two sisters, Bernice Neighbours of Conway and Maxine Dickson of Green Forest; three brothers, Grover Dickson of Viliona, Lester Dickson of Pickens Chapel and Calvin Dickson of Clinton; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Larry Heyland

Larry Heyland, 51, of Clarksville died Sunday, May 15, 2005, at Skaggs Hospital in Branson, Mo.
He was a native of Fort Worth, Texas, son of the late William Reuben and Pebble Sales Heyland, graduate of Boswell High School in Fort Worth, Texas, member of Hedgeway Church, car dealer and preceded in death by one brother, Lewis Heyland.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Heyland; two sons, Larry Heyland Jr. of Clarksville and Brad Heyland of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Margie Minyard of Saginaw, Texas; one brother, Billy Heyland of Baird, Texas; and three grandchildren, Brooklyn Heyland, Larry Heyland and Matthew Heyland, all of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at Hedgeway Church with Rev. Dale Ruble officiating.
Burial will be in Hagarville cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Don Hale, Jerry Morris, Amber Dodge, Kelly Pultz, Jim Fritts and Jeff Resimont.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Orlan D. Baskin

Orlan D. (Dub) Baskin, 94, of Tulsa, Okla., died Wednesday, May 11, 2005.
A native of Johnson County, he was a son of the late Charles and Bessie Baskin, served in the Army Air Force, retired McDonnell Douglas employee after several years of service, owner of a small restaurant where he was employed in service delivery, 20-year member of East Tulsa Christian Church, and was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Evans; and one infant brother.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years Katherine Looper Baskin; and one nephew, Dr. Charles Evans of Stuart, Fla.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Monday, May 16, at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel followed by burial at Memorial Park cemetery.
