Franklin Ed Vaughn

Franklin Ed Vaughn, 51, of Hartman died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired county road department employee, son of the late Herman Hartzel Vaughn, and preceded in death by his wife, Linda Vaughn, and one sister, Patricia Vaughn Dale.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Myers Vaughn; two daughters, Shanna Nicole Vaughn of Warren and Jessica Tanzy Wood of Hartman; one son, Franklin Robert Vaughn of Huntsville, Ala.; mother, Florence Tanzy Russell Vaughn; one brother, William Robert Vaughn of Oklahoma; one sister, Mary Ann McElfresh of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two stepsons, Shawn and Johnathan Tinsley; and seven grandchildren, Lucas, Franklin, James, Emily, Trinity, Hunter and Tanzy.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home with Louis Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Stacy McElfresh, Scott William McElfresh, Randy Warren, Buddy Perkins, Randy Pelts, Porter Sterman, Chris Fillion, and John Spurlock.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Wood, James Vaughn, Franklin Vaughn, Lucas Vaughn, and Mike Jacobs.

Larry Gene Hurst

Larry Gene Hurst, 62, of Clarksville died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at his home.
A native of Coal Hill, he was a son of the late Herman and Myrtle Steele Hurst, graduate of Coal Hill High School, attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, graduate of the University of the Ozarks and received a master's degree at the University of Central Arkansas at Conway. He was a retired school teacher having taught at Pleasant View, Oark and Clarksville and in Dallas, Texas, and was a member of the Johnson County Peach Festival Association Board.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Baskin Hurst; one daughter, Lara Siemens and husband, Garrett, of Clarksville; one son, Daniel Hurst and wife, Misty, of Stillwater, Okla.; two stepsons, Brent Larrison and wife, Mary Jo, and Clint Larrison, all of Clarksville; sister, Margaret Thomas of Jacksonville; one brother, Danny Phelps of Coal Hill; one half-brother, Euell Morris of Fort Smith; two half-sisters, Sharon Morris and Mary Hembree, both of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Paige Siemens and Taylor Siemens, both of Clarksville; six step-grandchildren, Josh, Zach and Noah Larrison of Ozark, Kaitlyn Larrison of Cabot, and Sara and Katelyn Wilder of Coal Hill; and one step-great-grandchild, Jayden Skinner of Coal Hill.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Burnett King officiating. Burial was in Hess cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ken Medeiros, Herman Houston, David Lasater, Don Johnson, Johnny Burke, Kevin Baskin, Clint Larrison, and Mike Jacobs.

Mary S. Gustason

Mary Self Gustason, 77, of Coal Hill died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late William A. and Donna Faye Bean Sams, widow of Beacher Self, licensed practical nurse, Pentecostal, and was preceded in death by one son, James Self.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Poindexter of Coal Hill and Barbara Hill of Hector; three sons, Darrell Self of Clarksville, Terry Self of Shawnee Mission, Kan., and Roger Self of Roland, Okla.; one brother, Claude Sams of Selah, Wash.; one sister, Martha Turner of Coal Hill; 16 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Holman cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Bill Schell, Aaron Self, Tim Roberson, John Ed Roberson, Richard Casto, and Gary Roberson.
Honorary pallbearers were Matthew Self, J. B. Roberson, Beacher Roberson, David Carey Self, Gary Don Harkins and Danny Self.

Randy James Burns

Randy James Burns, 52, of Clarksville died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Wynne, the son of James Rosco Burns and Martha M. (Davis) Burns Thompson, attended Wynne High School and worked as a supervisor in Pre-Charge at Halstead for 22 years prior to retiring in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Dana Kay Burns; one son, Scott Burns of Vanndale; two daughters, Melissa Skinner and husband, Bobby, of Wynne and Kimber Burns of Polo, Mo.; mother, Martha Thompson of Wynne; one brother, Miles Burns of Conway; one sister, Geraldine Jarrett Gilbert of Wynne; and five grandchildren, Colton Posey, Skyler Skinner, Erica Pitts, Meredith Hillman and Tanner Skinner.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne with burial at Ellis Chapel cemetery in Wynne.

Robert C. Lints

Robert C. Lints, 62, of Hartman died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at his home.
A native of Frankfort, Mich., he was a son of the late Carl R. (Ted) and Dorothy Kettleson Lints, graduate of Frankfort (Michigan) High School, served in the U. S. Army for 28ba1Ú2ea years with two tours in Vietnam and one in Desert Storm, and a member of the Lutheran Church and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his fiancee, Barbara Beck of Hartman; two daughters, Erika Ann Mac Girr of Honor, Mich., and Nicole Lints of North Carolina; two sons, Robert C. Lints Jr. of Onalaska, Texas, and Bobby Lints of North Carolina; one sister, Laurie Faught of Travis City, Mich.; one brother, Danny Lints and wife, Vickie, of Elkhart, Ind.; one stepdaughter, Kimberly Beck of Hartman; one stepson, Jimmy Beck of Cabot; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Morris Boseman officiating. The body will be cremated.

Ronald Ward Steen

Ronald Ward Steen, 51, of Hartman died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, at his home.
He was a native of Marshalltown, Iowa.
Survivors are his wife, Donetta Steen of Hartman; three daughters, Janny Simpson and husband, Donny, of Long Beach, Miss., Jody McGlothlin and husband, David, of Coal Hill, and Jacki Kane of Marshalltown, Iowa; two sons, Jayde Mulholland of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Bugs Malone of Hartman; father and stepmother, Donald Steen and Lorena Steen of Marshalltown, Iowa; grandmother, Katherine Buchanan of Le Grand, Iowa; one sister, Julia Hunt of Paris; five brothers, Scott Steen of Des Moines, Iowa, Dan Lorenzen, Charles Steen and Chris Steen, all of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Stacy Lorenzen of Hartman; and seven grandchildren, Harley and Holee Simpson, Autumn McGlothlin, Gunner Hester, and Brandi, Jennifer and Cheyenne Lorenzen.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Hull officiating. The body will be cremated.

Teresa Kay Harwell

Teresa Kay Turner Harwell, 37, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, in Asheville, N. C.
She was a graduate of Oark High School and was preceded in death by her grandparents and one sister, Cara Dodson.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Harwell; parents, Everett Turner of Oark and Frances Glass of Ozone; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Lola Turner and Wesley and Kutrenia Turner, all of Ozone; five nephews; and four nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Salus Free Holiness Church with Robert Boen, pastor, officiating.

S. Verlon Graves

Stephen Verlon Graves, 87, of Tulsa, Okla., died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2006.
A native of the Mt. Levi Community, he was a son of the late Jesse Monroe and Hattie Clementine Patterson Graves, served in the U. S. Army during World War II, and was employed as a ceramic tile setter and as a Tulsa Public Schools custodian until his retirement in 1985. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vaunda Jo Ralph Graves.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, John Graves of Tulsa, Okla., David and Lynne Graves of Avant, Okla., and Michael and Lynne Graves of Sand Springs, Okla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Daryl Taylor of Tulsa, Okla., and Karen and Michael Pittman of Sand Springs, Okla.; 12 grandsons; seven granddaughters; nine great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Elizabeth Graves of Clarksville, William and Louise Graves of Hagarville; and Jesse and Betty Graves of Fort Smith; and one sister, Martha Rutledge of Hagarville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the Strawberry Assembly of God Church with burial at Hagarville West cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Eastlawn Chapel in Tulsa, Okla., and Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
