Bobby John Webb

Bobby John (B. J.) Webb, 66, of Lamar died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at his home.
A native of Forrest City, he was a son of the late Mitchell J. and Lois M. Havener Webb, graduate of Clarksville High School, attended the University of the Ozarks and served in the U. S. Navy for 25 years.
He is survived by three sons, John Mark Webb of Boone, N. C., Mitchell Dean Webb of Lamar, and Jeffery Allen Webb of Morrilton; one sister, Jackie Simmons of Lamar; and six grandchildren, Shawn Michael Webb, Evelyn Alise Webb, Austen Mitchell Webb, John Alexander Webb, Gabriel Joseph Dean Webb, and Katelyn Ann Webb.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Hardwicke Funeral Home with Rev. Burnett King officiating.

Clifford C. Robertson

Clifford C. Robertson, 90, of Scranton died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at North Logan Mercy Hospital in Paris.
A native of Iowa, he was a retired logger, member of Lamar Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Irene Robertson; and one daughter, Nancy Burke.
He is survived by four daughters, Betty Jean Shores of Fort Smith, Joyce Allen and Anna Mae Monk, both of Iowa, and Doris June Pavelec of Prompt, Nev.; one son, Clifford Robertson Jr. of Scranton; one sister, Myrtle Robertson of Iowa; one brother, Richard Robertson of Iowa; 22 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Jackson cemetery at Hunt. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Hope K. Wyatt

Hope Kaitlyn Wyatt, infant daughter of David and Kristy Wyatt of Barling, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, in a Little Rock hospital.
Other survivors include paternal grandparents, Phillip and Nita Wyatt of Clarksville; maternal grandparents, Bill and Ruth Wilwers of Barling; paternal great-grandparents, Richard and Gertie Etzkorn of Subiaco; and maternal step-great-grandmother, Helen Wilwers of Chicago, Ill.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston with burial at Hampton cemetery north of Branch.

James Larry Meeks

James Larry Meeks, 70, of Clarksville died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at his home.
He was a cattle rancher, rodeo participant, member of the Church of Christ, son of the late James Elmer and Ora Mae Clay Meeks, and was preceded in death by his wife, Wilhelmine Meeks.
He is survived by four sons, Larry Mardel Meeks of McLean, Texas, Lynn Dell Meeks and Raymond Reeder, both of Amarillo, Texas, and Paul John Reeder of Mount Vernon, Texas; three sisters, Nell Behimer of Clarksville, and Rose Lee Clifton and June Berry, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.

Jesse A. Shelton

Jesse A. Shelton, 73, of Lamar died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was retired, son of the late Allie and Gracie Garrison Shelton, Pentecostal, and was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Ford; and two brothers, Chester and Junior Shelton.
Survivors include one stepson, Roy Williams and wife, Tonya, of Clarksville; one sister, Louise Carter of Russellville; and one brother, G. W. Shelton of Dover.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Pollard cemetery at Dover with Rev. Leo Villines officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Lester Kimberling Jr.

Lester Leon Kimberling Jr., 51, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at his home.
He was a native of Hazelcrest, Ill., and son of the late Lester Leon and Jenevia Jane Barham Kimberling.
He is survived by his two sons, Jonathan Kimberling and Jason Kimberling and wife, Elizabeth, all of Illinois; one sister, Darlene Metcalf and husband, Ray, of Tennessee; two brothers, Richard Kimberling and wife, Courtenay, of Tennessee and Robert Kimberling and wife, Marie, of Montana; numerous nieces and nephews; and fiancee, Mary Ann Knight.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Zeiler and Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was at Mount Airy cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Hoyt E. Knight, Kenneth W. Knight, Joshua W. Knight, James Zeiler, Dustin Zeiler, Blue-Mack Zeiler, Danny Smith, and Jeremy Smith.
Honorary pallbearer was Eric Wright.

Myrtle L. Surmick

Myrtle Lorene Warren Williams Surmick, 87, of Arleta, Calif., died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007.
A native of the Woodland Community, she was a daughter of the late Roy Clinton and Bertha Clayborn Warren, retired stock exchange employee, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil James, George Edward and Jack Clinton Warren.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Surmick; two sons, Jerry Williams and Larry Williams, both of Shasta County, Calif.; two sisters, Betty Williamson of Washington and Evelyn Gillham of southern California; one granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life was held in southern California.
The body was cremated.

Virgel C. Furr

Virgel Columbus Furr, 64, of Dover, whose daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Jim Sherrill reside in Hartman, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
He was a son of the late Hiram and Vivian Hill Furr, member of the Dover Church of Christ, employed as a pipefitter, and was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Furr.
Other survivors include his wife, Edna Ann Furr; one son, Virgel T. Furr and wife, Jodi, of Auburn, Neb.; three sisters, Montine Ramsey of Hardy, and Geraldine Wooten and Linda Kay Arnold, both of West Helena; one brother, Mackie Furr of Marvell; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at North New Hope cemetery at Dover with Micah Williams and Earl Whitted officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were James Arnold, Anthony Arnold, Bryan Arnold, Robert Wooten, Earl Whitten and Jim Sherrill.

Willie Williamson

Willie Gene Williamson, 78, of Neosho, Mo., formerly of Johnson County, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at Freeman Neosho Hospital in Neosho, Mo.
He was a son of the late A. W. and Jewel Williamson, member of the Church of Christ, pipe line employee, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Nell Williamson.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Williamson; two daughters and one son-in-law, Genelle and Shawn Mead of Kansas and Mikki Clanin of Oklahoma; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Wayne and Shelia Williamson of West Virginia and R. E. Williamson of California; three stepsons, David A. NewBurn and Mark NewBurn, both of Missouri, and James D. NewBurn of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at the Mt. Vernon cemetery with Wayne Williamson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
