Ezra Eugene Buck
Mr. Ezra Eugene Buck, age 46, a resident of Conway, Arkansas, died Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in Conway.

He was born May 27, 1975, in De Queen, Arkansas.

Mr. Buck was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Ann Teague Buck.

He is survived by his parents, Eugene and Becky Buck of Nashville, Arkansas; two sisters, Lavel Hollaway of Melbourne, Florida and Teenia Rodriquez of Pensacola, Florida; one stepsister, Jonie Evans of Nashville; one stepbrother, Philip Mascarenas of Nashville and eight nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Buck will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Crosspoint Cowboy Church in Nashville, Arkansas. Burial will follow at the Bluff Springs Cemetery with Bro. Don Jones officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral home in De Queen, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 10th at the church.

Eduardo Trejo Alvarado
Mr. Eduardo Trejo Alvarado, age 30, of De Queen, Arkansas, passed unexpectedly from this life on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.

He was born to Juan Manuel Trejo Resendiz and Ernestina Alvarado Hernandez on May 15, 1991, in Zimapan, Hidalgo, Mexico. He married the love of his life, Crispina M. Ramirez, on September 13, 2013, in De Queen, and to this union, three beautiful children were born. Eduardo worked as a home builder for Hurst Custom Homes and was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. He enjoyed music, playing the accordion, dancing, and carpentry work, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and many friends.

Eduardo is survived by his loving wife, Crispina M. Ramirez of De Queen; their children, Mireya, Alma, and Josiah Trejo Ramirez of De Queen; his parents, Juan Manuel Trejo Rezendiz and Ernestina Alvarado Hernandez of Mexico; two brothers, David and Juan Manuel Trejo Alvarado of Mexico; three sisters, Lourdes, Guadalupe, and Liliana Trejo Alvarado of Mexico; grandparents, Eva Hernandez Aguilar, Patricio Alvarado Munoz, Gilberto Trejo Dicha, and Viriginia Rezendiz Ortiz, all of Mexico; aunts and uncles, Gilberto, Ester, Rosa, Angelica, Angilia, and Marco Antonio Trejo Rameriz, all of Mexico; nieces and nephews, Brian Manuel Trejo, Camila Zahory Trejo Alvarado, Danna Paula Martinez Trejo, and Santiago Trejo Ramirez, all of Mexico; as well as, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass for Mr. Eduardo Trejo Alvarado will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 9, 2021, in the Monsignor Scott Friend Pastoral Center of St. Barbara Catholic Church with Father Ramses Mendietta officiating. Burial will be held in Mexico. Rosary and vigil services will begin at 8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the Pastoral Center.

Elmo Watson King
Elmo Watson “Chuck” King who served his family, friends, fellow man, and communities with great strength and vigor for 96 years is with his Lord and Savior today after passing Wednesday June 30th near his home at Canyon Lake, Texas. Chuck proudly served his country in WWll in the South Pacific aboard the USS Tennessee Naval Battleship. From his own writing; “Born the fifth in a string of ten on a farm in SW Arkansas in a home my dad cut and sawed from the timber” he was son of Louis Ferdinand King and Eunice June Fritz.

He was preceded in death by the mother of his two children, Mary Catherine Patton, and brothers Norman, L.F., Merlin, Bert, Paul, and sister Vonnie Thornton with his dear sister Holly “Sissy” Bush still residing nearby in their home state of Arkansas. Chuck will be laid to rest beside his granddaughter Traci Swinehart (daughter of Lesa) in his birthplace Lockesburg, Arkansas.

Chuck is survived by his best friend and wife, Rosalie King, of 25 years who was holding his hand as they did each night at bedtime and was cheek to cheek in an embrace when her love . Children Gaylin Russell King and Lesa Gale Lyon along with their spouses Diana King and Eric Lyon survive him with Jennifer Loupes and Catherine Bridges daughters of Gaylin and Diana. Many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, stepchildren Mike, Pat and Mary Lynn enjoyed “Papa Chuck” and Grandma Rosie’s retired years at Lake Greeson, Arkansas playing on the lake and enjoying the outdoors, learning water sports, boating, fishing, flipping pancakes and eating biscuits and gravy!

Elmo Watson “Chuck” King was a kind and gentle man who served teaching Sunday school, as a deacon and on many civic boards. After retiring from the Southern Pacific Railroad, Chuck owned and operated several successful businesses throughout the years which benefitted from his grit, perseverance and tenacity that we all respected. He was a “man’s man” in his son’s words and early son-in-law PJ Alden concurs and yet a most tender and loving man to daughter Lesa, Rosie, her daughter Mary Lynn and all who have had the pleasure of knowing the treasure of this great man’s heart and legacy. “DON’T FORGET TO SAY YOUR PRAYERS”, “GOD WILLING”, “FORGIVE US WHERE WE FAIL THEE”, “LOVE YOU WERY WERY MUCH” and “OH ROS-A-LIE” will resonate in our hearts forever. See you at the “Far Side Banks of Jordon” and we know you will shout with joy when we see you again!

Graveside funeral services for Mr. King will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 9, 2021 in the Lockesburg Cemetery with Pastor Rick Gregory officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Patsy Hacker
Mrs. Patsy Lansdell Hacker, age 69, of Winthrop, Arkansas, passed from this life, Sunday, July 4, 2021, at her home with family by her side.

Patsy was born the youngest of ten children to the union of Guy and Mattie Beasley Lansdell on February 9, 1952, in DeKalb, Texas. She was a 1970 graduate of Winthrop High School, and on October 22, 1970, married the love of her life, O’Neal Clarence Hacker. Patsy was a homemaker and member of Winthrop First Baptist Church. She had an unshakeable faith and even in the end, prayed without ceasing. She maintained her love and concern for the salvation of her family and many friends. When she was able, she enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, keeping the home, and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. More than anything, she cherished the time spent with O’Neal, their children, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Mattie Lansdell; her twin brother, Pat Lansdell; and two sisters, Mary Branson and Pauline Lansdell.

Patsy leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of over 50 years, O’Neal Hacker of Winthrop; son and daughter-law, Johnny and Robyn Hacker of Foreman; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Josh Tabler of Ben Lomond; four grandchildren, Amber (Marty) Clayton of Foreman, Kaleb Hacker of Foreman, Madi Tabler of Ben Lomond, and Landon Tabler of Ben Lomond; one great-grandchild, William Clayton of Foreman; three brothers and their spouses, Truman (Judy) Lansdell of Winthrop, Vernon (Ruth) Lansdell of Alleene, and Herman Lansdell of Hooks, Texas; three sisters and their spouses, Roma Lee (Tommy) Bryan of Foreman, Lillian (Keith) Springer of Foreman, and Martha Taylor of Hooks, Texas; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Patsy Hacker will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Winthrop First Baptist Church with Bro. Audie Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Gravelly Cemetery, Foreman, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at Winthrop First Baptist Church.

Jessie Faye Zanzeburg
Jessie Faye Zanzeberg, age 79, a resident of Grannis, Arkansas died Friday, July 2, 2021 at her daughter’s home.

Mrs. Zanzeberg was born July 4, 1941 in Wickes, Arkansas. She was a member of Grannis Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary Jenkins Blanton; her siblings, Betty Cooke, Kelcey Blanton, Ed Blanton, her twin brother Junior Ray Blanton, , Rosalee Barber and Virgil Blanton.

Mrs. Zanzeberg is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joe Zanzeberg; one daughter and son-in-law, Diann and Wayne Wise of Grannis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rickey and Melissa Zanzeberg and Fred and Lisa Zanzeberg, all of Grannis; seven grandchildren, Jason and Gina Goodman of Bentonville, Arkansas, Tiffany Wise of Grannis, Kellie Wise of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Carlos and Kayla Rodriguez of De Queen, Chance and Courtney Zanzeberg of Grannis, Jorge and Carrie Abarca of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Clint and Kim Brown of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Heath Zanzeberg of Van Cove, Arkansas; eleven great-grandchildren, Kensley, Meredith, Ale, Tabatha, Brailey, and Kyndal; step-grandchildren, Annalise, Kaitlyn, Axton, Kristian, Colton, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Zanzeberg will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday July 5. 2021 in the Grannis Cemetery with John Wisinger officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

General viewing will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 4, 2021 at the funeral home.

Sue Wagoner
Mrs. Betty Sue Huckaby Wagoner, age 74, resident of Horatio, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at her home.

Sue was one of nine children born to the union of Felix Harrison and Argie Louise Ramsey Huckaby on October 18, 1946, in De Queen. She was a 1964 graduate of De Queen High School and went to further her education at beauty school. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant, Beautician, and later as a cook for the De Queen School Cafeteria, retiring after 15 years of service. She married Sol B. Wagoner, on January 27, 1996, to share the next 25 loving years. She was a Baptist and member of Old Time Missionary Baptist Church in De Queen. She was exceptionally proud of her 27-year remission of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Sue was a collector of Santa Clause figurines and lighthouses, was an avid Elvis Pressley fan, and enjoyed yardwork, and taking care of everyone. More than anything, Sue cherished the time spent with Sol, their children, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Ramsey, Marvin, Donnie, Lonnie, and Glen Huckaby; and a grandchild, Kody Firm.

Those left to cherish the many memories of Sue include, her loving husband, Sol Wagoner of Horatio; their children, Cheryl Firm of De Queen, Shannon (Jaimie) Crabtree of Texarkana, Shonda (Mark) Hannah of Eagletown, a special exchange daughter Nathalie Giorgi of Switzerland, Rene Chandler of Valliant, Mya (Tom) Duboyce of Colorado Springs, and Russell (Brandy) Law of Malvern; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, James (Emalene) Huckaby of De Queen; two sisters, Marje Harbolt of Joplin, and Linda Dean of De Queen; her mother-in-law, Marcella Olochia of Murfreesboro; as well as, other former exchange students, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Sue Wagoner will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, July 5, 2021, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Tim Bowlin and Mike Jannise officiating. Burial will follow at Avon Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M., to service time, Monday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Old Time Missionary Baptist Church, St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, Wounded Warriors Project, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in honor of Mrs. Sue Wagoner.

Lucy Fay Evans Robb
Lucy Fay Evans Robb, age 63, passed from this earth Monday, June 28, 2021 in Hot Springs, Arkansas with her children by her side. She was born on Thursday, October 24, 1957 to Henry and Gladys Evans in De Queen, Arkansas.

Lucy loved to love people. She had a gigantic heart and was the most loving, selfless and supportive mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Lucy was a dedicated mother first and foremost, she was very proud of her children and cherished every moment spent with them. She treasured her children, but the love she had for her grandbabies was immense. She is the shining example of how to live every day loving others and never went a day without letting the ones she knew how much she truly loved them. Lucy was always smiling and happy to help her customers while developing countless friendships being team member of EZ-Mart for over 27 years, that smile will be missed by all who knew her. Lucy was truly a strong, courageous person all of her life and fought a good fight until the very end.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Gladys Evans; two nephews; three nieces and one great nephew.

Lucy is survived by her son and daughter in law, David and Tonya Robb of Hope; her daughter, Melissa Robb of Grannis; the father of her children, James Robb; her grandchildren, Sophie, Lillie and J. T. Robb; five brothers, Leon Evans, Paul Evans, Robert (Rosa) Evans, Earl (Seven) Evans, and Jimmy Evans; five sisters, Fern (Rocky) Dering, Kathy House, Robby Evans (Clyde), Mary Evans and Arlene (Midge) Evans; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Church of the Nazarene in Wickes with Homer Frachiseur officiating.
