Mr. Roy McMahan, Jr.
Mr. Roy Lee McMahan, Jr., age 32, a resident of Grannis, died Saturday, April 6, 2019 in Polk County, Arkansas.

He was born to Roy Lee McMahan, Sr., and JoAnn Fondren on March 17, 1987 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was of the Baptist faith and worked for Texar. He enjoyed anything outdoors, especially fishing, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy McMahan, Sr.

He is survived by his daughter, McKenna Lee McMahan of Winthrop; his mother, JoAnn Fondren of Grannis; fiancé, Angela Caramez of Grannis; three sisters, Miranda Fondren of Phoenix, Arizona, Malisha Palmer and husband Eric of San Antonio, Texas, and Betty Fondren of Ocala, Florida; one brother, Donald Fondren and his wife Margaret of Asheville, North Carolina; four nieces, Taylor Fondren, Laura and Alena Huggins, and Olivia Fondren; one nephew, Jesse Balogh; as well as, other relatives and a host of friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Mary Elizabeth Dixson Conatser
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Dixson Conatser, age 76, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Thursday, April 4, 2019, in Texarkana, Texas.

She was born May 4, 1942, in Lockesburg. She was a homemaker, poultry farmer, and a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church in De Queen, Arkansas.

Mrs. Conatser was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Minnie Ayers Dixson and two brothers, Leo Dixson and Eugene Dixson.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Leon Conatser; one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Eric Crawford of Ben Lomond, Arkansas; three grandsons, Matthew Lovell of Texarkana, Arkansas, Jason Crawford, and Kevin Crawford both of Lockesburg; three sisters, Allene Thornton, Laverne Renfrow, and Ernestine Clay all of Lockesburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Conatser will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Coulter Memorial Garden in Lockesburg with Rev. Roy Conatser officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Billie Faye Helms Fant
Mrs. Billie Faye Helms Fant, age 91, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas died Tuesday, April 2, 2019, in Ashdown, Arkansas.

She was born August 30, 1927, in the Provo Community. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lockesburg First Baptist Church. She enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and growing flowers.

Mrs. Fant was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Lucy Harberson Helms and two brothers, Arvin Helms and Marvin Helms.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd “Samp” Fant; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Candi Fant of Lockesburg; two grandsons, Justin Fant and wife Samantha and Tyler Fant all of Lockesburg; and one great granddaughter Dalleigh Fant.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fant will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Lockesburg First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Carrie Mae McClinton
Carrie Mae passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019, in Paris, Texas at the age of 97. She was born March 8, 1922, in Glendale, Arkansas to Victor Otto Owen and Mary Will Smith Owen.

She married Willie Paul McClinton on July 10, 1945. Carrie was a member of the State Line Baptist Church, Cerro Gordo, Arkansas for over 65 years and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for most of those years. She attended the First Baptist Church of Paris while making her home in Paris with her daughter for the last few years.

Carrie was preceded in death by her husband; her sisters, Hellon Bellew, Pebble Watts, Evelyn Johnston, and Maxine Woolley; and her brothers, James Owen and Victor Owen.

She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Melton and husband Leonard (Buddy) Melton of Paris, Texas; one son, Loyd (Tommy) McClinton of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren, Paul Melton and wife Patricia of Rochester, Minnesota, Donna Trapp and husband Chad of Hugo, Oklahoma, Lonn McClinton and wife Erin of Cerro Gordo, Angie Zygmont and husband Gary of Austin, Texas, and Brandon Burns of Atlanta, Georgia; great grandchildren, Katie and Samantha Trapp of Hugo, Oklahoma, Rebecca Williams of Dallas, Texas, Chris and Grace Melton of Rochester, and Libby and Steven McClinton of Cerro Gordo; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Eula Faye Hestand of Paragould, Arkansas, Martha Mayfield of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Joyce McFalls of Pine Bluff, and Virginia Gillespie also of Pine Bluff; one brother, Herbert Owen of Pine Bluff; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. McClinton will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2019, at the State Line Baptist Church in Cerro Gordo, Arkansas with Roy Brooks and Jerry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Pauley Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m., before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the State Line Baptist Church, 924 Hwy 380 W., Winthrop, Arkansas 71866.

Faye Elaine Robertson Young
Mrs. Faye Elaine Robertson Young, age 87, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas died Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at her home.

She was born May 2, 1931, in Gordon, Nebraska to Alice Lewis Robertson and Al Robertson. The family moved to Wenatchee, Washington, where, at the age of 16 she met and married Henry Lee Young.

Faye is preceded in death by both parents; her husband; and two brothers, Hollis Robertson and Everett Robertson.

She is survived by three children: daughter, LaJeana Jones and husband, Larry, daughter, Brenda Young, and son, Daniel Young and wife, Sherry; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

During her lifetime Faye was a homemaker, cashier, poultry farmer, consultant for Mary Kay cosmetics, factory worker for Poulan, and gate keeper for the Corps of Engineers. Faye was a member of the Dierks United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included sewing and genealogy.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Young will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Allen Cemetery with Bobby Neal officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Tiny Tollett Smith Ayers
Mrs. Tiny Tollett Smith Ayers, age 89, a resident of Ashdown, Arkansas, formerly of Horatio, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Pleasant Manor.

She was born April 2, 1929 in New Bethel, Arkansas to Luke and Lillie Upton Tollett. She was a homemaker and loving caregiver to her family. She enjoyed southern cooking, gardening and quilting.

Tiny is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Shirley Tollett of Ashdown; numerous nephews and nieces; great-great nieces, Alicia Loman and Carly Stinnett of Hugo, Oklahoma; and loving friend, Mrs. Tommye Ford of Ashdown.

Graveside memorial services for Mrs. Ayers will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Belleville Cemetery with Bro. Tim Smallwood officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.

Roger Allen Bell
Mr. Roger Allen Bell, age 59, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Sunday, March 31, 2019, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born November, 4, 1959, in Kewanee, Illinois. Mr. Bell was a retired pipeliner.

Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Christopher and Opal Mary Shaw Bell and two brothers, Bobby Bell and John Christopher Bell.

He is survived by his wife, Georgette Brewer Bell; four daughters, Angie Charron of Missouri, Joy Shrouder of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Tobi Walker Plantz of Frisco, Texas, and Sarah Birmingham of De Queen; one son, Benji Davis of Horatio, Arkansas; four sisters, Christine Akins, Linda Bowden, Jennifer Bell, and Barbara Gaylord all of De Queen; two brothers, Billy Bell of De Queen and David Bell of El Centro, California; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew, and friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Bell will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2019, at Old Piney Cemetery with Ryan Bowden and grandson Garrett Shrouder officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 4th at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
