Peggy Ann Wilson Tollett
Peggy Ann Wilson Tollett, age 66, a resident of Nashville, Arkansas died Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in Dierks, Arkansas.

She was born October 25, 1952, in Dierks. She was retired from Weyerhaeuser.

Mrs. Tollett was preceded in death by her parents, Grover Earl and Imagene Priddy Wilson; her husband, Alton Lavoye Tollett; one brother, Tommy Wilson; and one sister, Robbie Lynn Wilson.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Dianne Tollett of Prescott, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Larry Buazard of Athens, Arkansas; three sisters, Cafey McCauley of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Jackie Wilson of Nashville, Arkansas, and Niki Null of Nashville; her step mother, Jean Wilson of Nashville; four grandchildren Chance Tollett and fiancé Jessie of Prescott, Tony Tollett of Prescott, Robert Nathaniel Buazard of Athens, and Shelby Lynn Buazard also of Athens; and two great grandchildren, Axel and McKenzie.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Tollett will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Bissell Chapel Cemetery with Billy Joe Christopher officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Thursday the 7th at the funeral home in Dierks.

Mrs. Rhonda Burt
Mrs. Rhonda Ann Burt, age 64, a resident of Lockesburg, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her home.

She was born to Donald Charlie and Darlene Hankey Campbell on April 15, 1954 in Sherman, Texas. She married the love of her life, Dennis Lloyd Burt on December 16, 1973 in De Queen. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and playing on her tablet, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Charlie Campbell; her husband, Dennis Burt; two sons, Gary Dale Warford and Michael Lloyd Burt; one sister, Vickie Halladay; grandparents, Louie and Annie Hankey and Charlie and Hattie Campbell; and her brother-in-law, Dennis Wright.

She is survived by one daughter, Christie Ann Maleski of Lockesburg; eight grandchildren, Brandon McCuller, Kyle Curtis, Brittney McCuller, Desirae Warford, Brahanna Yount, Kaylee Curtis, Bradlee McCuller and Cecelia Maleski; two great-grandchildren, Kayden Curtis and Brenten Markham; her mother, Darlene Hankey Campbell Williamson and her husband James of Texarkana; three sisters, Linda Duncan and her husband Robert of Hooks, Texas, Donna Kay Wright of Murfreesboro and Becky Loden and her husband David of Athens, Texas; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rhonda Burt will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 8, 2019 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Alfred Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Piney Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, March 7th, at the funeral home.

Joe Bruce Baker, Sr.
Joe Bruce Baker, Sr., age 78, a resident of Winthrop, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

He was born August 28, 1940, in Winthrop, Arkansas. He served in the United States Army, attended Foreman First Baptist Church, and was a truck driver.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Mary Mize Baker; his wife, Gloria Jean Baker; one son, Joe Bruce Baker, Jr.; and one brother, Jimmy Baker.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Tanya Baker of Wright City, Oklahoma, James and Tammy Baker of Winthrop and Shane and Angie Baker of Hooks, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Doodle Knighten of Winthrop; one sister, Margie Ward of Ogden, Arkansas; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Anita Baker of Foreman, Arkansas; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Mr. Baker will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019, in the Foreman First Baptist Church with Trent Liggin officiating.

Benny Aubrey Graves
Benny Aubrey Graves left his earthly body for his Heavenly home on March 4, 2019. He was born August 9, 1938, at the old home place to Aubrey Fletcher Graves and Henrietta Avis Latimer Graves who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Blane Graves and Jimmie Anne Graves of Texarkana; his grandchildren, Anna and Nicholas Graves of Texarkana; two sisters, Betty Williams of Lockesburg and and Mary Ann Mayo of Petrolia, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Sondra Graves of Lockesburg; several nieces and nephews; and his constant companion, Bridget.

Benny was retired from GTE and a veteran of the Korean War. Benny loved talking about his grandkids, hunting, fishing, and sitting on the front porch.

Graveside services will be at Belleville Cemetery at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019, with Bro. Don Jones officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday the 5th at the funeral home.

Mrs. Susan Wheeler
Mrs. Susan Elaine Schooler Wheeler, age 64, a resident of Wilton, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, March 3, 2019 in Texarkana, Texas, surrounded by her family.

She was born to J. L. and Donnalita Love Schooler on August 28, 1954 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Education from Texas Tech and later revived her Bachelor of Music. She taught for the Whiteface School District and was a substitute for local school districts after her retirement. She married the love of her life, Randy Mac Wheeler in November of 1996 in Morton, Texas. Susan loved the Lord and was an involved member of the First Baptist Church in Wilton. She served as the church pianist, VBS director and worked diligently with Operation Christmas Child. She was a Master Gardener, loved sharing about her flowers and loved the Gaither Vocal Band. She enjoyed playing and teacher her students the art of piano, knitting, crocheting, and her special cat, Boo Bear, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her granddaughters and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of over 22 years, Randy Wheeler.

She is survived by one daughter, Brandi Patterson and her spouse Maggie of Lubbock, Texas; two granddaughters, Grace Elisabeth and Summer Joy Patterson, both of Lubbock; her twin brother, Timothy Wayne Schooler and his wife Della of Lubbock; two sisters, Treva Ellis and husband Bob of Amarillo, Texas and Cathy Brookshire and husband Tony of Wichita Falls; nieces and nephew, John Schooler and wife Alyssa, Katie Clark and husband Preston, Kristi Ogle and husband Dave, Steven Ellis, Scott Brookshire and wife Robyn, Amber Leonard and husband Cory, T. J. Brookshire and wife Ashley and Mandy Riley and husband Jason; as well as, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 7, 2019 in the First Baptist Church in Wilton with Bro. Chris Clayton officiating. Burial will be private, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from Noon until service time, Thursday, at the church.

Mrs. Clydean Jackson
Mrs. Clydean Ova Smith Jackson, age 98, a resident of De Queen, died Monday, February 25, 2019 at her home.

She was born to Maynard Milton and Berta Elizabeth Wright Smith on February 8, 1921 in Athens, Arkansas. She received her Bachelor of Education from the West Texas State University and her Master of Education from Henderson State University in 1963. She married the love of her life, Joseph Ray “Bob” Jackson on June 6, 1936 in Dierks. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Methodist Church in De Queen. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of a quilting club, writing children’s stories and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 63 years, Bob Jackson; one daughter, Elizabeth Anne Jackson Higgins; her son-in-law, Kurt Naumann; and her siblings, Norma Ruth Kitchens and Maynard Dexter Smith.

She is survived by one son, Gene Kitzel Jackson and wife Sharla of Amarillo, Texas; one daughter, Billie June Jackson Naumann of De Queen; two grandchildren, Kurt Joseph Naumann and his wife Rhonda of Bryant and Kathleen DeAnne Higgins of De Queen; two great-grandchildren, Lana and Laura Naumann, both of Bryant; four sisters, Verba Lee Birge of De Queen, Mona Jean Simmons and husband Norman of Little Rock and Marian Allen Bailey of Springdale; one brother, Hal Jackson Smith and wife Delores of Kelso, Washington; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Clydean Jackson will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 2, 2019 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Cloninger officiating. Burial will be private, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be general on Friday, March 1st, at the funeral home.

Michelle Lee Whitmire
Ms. Michelle Lee Coppock Whitmire, age 48, a resident of Wickes, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, February 25, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was born to Kathy Louise Coppock and David Shurley on March 23, 1970 in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was a 1988 graduate of the Mena High School, was a former member of the Gillham and Grannis Fire Departments, was of the Pentecostal Faith and was a member of the Wickes Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed babysitting, fishing, camping, kayaking and caring for others, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary Louis and Charles Coppock; paternal grandparents, Jack and Kitty Cottrill, Minnie Jolly and John Shurley; her father Larry Cottrill; aunt, DeeDee Stice; niece, Kodi Leah Wheeler; and a nephew, Danny Lee Butler.

Michelle leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Whitney Higgins and husband Kelly of De Queen, Darrell Whitmire and wife Amber of Michigan, Gavin Whitmire and wife Jazzmyn of Wickes, Tommie Whitmire and Kaden Whitmire, both of Wickes; ten grandchildren, Madison, Chason, Addison, Mason, Lucus, Jacob, Chris, Azalea, Lhiam and Lennox; as well as, three soon-to-be grandchildren. Her parents, Kathy Denton and husband Henry of Grannis, and Dave Shurley and wife Georgiana of Georgia; four sisters, Patti Wheeler and husband Bruce of Wickes, Teri Butler and husband Danny of Watson, Oklahoma, April Lambert and husband Jon of Lufkin, Texas, and Krishonda Denton of Gillham; one brother, Zachary Denton and wife Kayla of Gillham; as well as, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services for Ms. Michelle Whitmire will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 2, 2019 in the Wickes Pentecostal Church with Bro. Chris Burke officiating. Burial will follow in the Grannis Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, March 1st, at the funeral home.
