Glen Hudspeth
Glen Edward Hudspeth, 63, of Hollis died Monday, Jan. 26, 2004.
He was born Aug. 18, 1940, in Perry County, a son of C.J. Hudspeth and Margaret Caroline Hudspeth. Mr. Hudspeth was a Navy veteran, an active H.A.M. Radio Operator, past president of Hollis Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Valley Home Missionary Baptist Church, and Blue Angels Alumni Association.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenda Willis of Bradenton, Fla. and Pat McArthur of Pine Bluff; two stepdaughters, Pam Brown of Fordyce and Elle Barth of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one stepson, Lynn Calley of Pine Bluff; one sister, Mary Thompson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one stepbrother, Freddie Thompson of Arkansas; and three grandchildren and seven step grandchildren.
Graveside service was 1 p.m. Saturday at Nooner Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Scott officiating. Arrangements were by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Stuart Sauter, Ken Powers, Darryll Humph-reys, Wayne Hill, Rick Womack, and Tommy Davis. Honorary pallbearers were Kelly Hester and Benny Humphreys.
Ethel Stain
Ethel Dail Forrester Stain, 75, of Perryville, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004.
She was born May 23, 1928, near Perryville, a daughter of Elic Forrester and Mary Elizabeth Ray Forrester. She was the widow of Raymond M. Stain, and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include four sons: Raymond E. Stain of Petit Jean Mountain, Eric Stain of Atkins, David G. Stain of Montana, and Joe Stain of Perry; one daughter, Mary England Humphreys of Perryville; one brother, Edward “Pete” Forrester of Harris Brake; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Buddy Wroten officiating. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Bobby Joe Stain Jr., Eric Lee Stain, Kevin Brown, Larry Mainord II, Baylor House, and Scott Skinkle.
Benjamin Maxwell
Benjamin Lee Maxwell, 23, of Cleveland died Friday, Jan.30, 2004.
Born on July 7, 1980, in Morrilton, he was a son of Ruben and Eva Scroggins Maxwell of Cleveland. He was an employee of Cat Claws and a member of the Cleveland Masonic Lodge No. 473. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors, other than his parents, include one brother, Reuben James Maxwell of Cleveland; and one grandparent, Willie Maxwell, of Cleveland.
Funeral services were 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was at the Lost Corner Cemetery near Cleveland.
Pallbearers were Noah Shipp, Carl Rippey, Billy Wright, Mike Redmon, Lance Baker, and James Bradshaw. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Denny and Jody Goates.
Charles Crumly
Charles Wesley Crumly Jr., 64, of Cleveland died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004.
He was born Nov. 3, 1939, in Los Angeles to Charles Wesley Crumly Sr. and Lorraine Robinson Crumly. He was a 1956 graduate of Birmingham High School and continued his education at the University of Southern California where he played football. He was a former deputy sheriff in Washington state, served in the United States Army and worked in real state in Hawaii before moving to Morrilton in 2000.
Survivors include his mother, Lorraine Crumly of Sun City, Ariz.; one daughter, Carren Down of Valencia, Calif.; two brothers, Donald Aldrich of Woodland Hills, Calif., and Robert Crumly of Sun City, Ariz.; one sister, Susan Heschonge of Simi Valley, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Burial will be at Forrest Hill Cemetery in California. Funeral arrangements were by Bob Neal and Sons Morrilton Funeral Service in Morrilton.
Loretta Estes
Loretta Estella Fox Estes, 62, of Morrilton died Thursday, Jan. 29, in Tulsa, Okla.
She was born Oct. 27, 1941, in Long Beach, Calif., a daughter of William Joseph Fox and Cathryn (Bumgardner) Fox. She was a retired machine operator of Morrilton Plastics and was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons, William Thomas Smith of Perryville, Michael and David Smith, both of California; one daughter, Tina Marie May of Morrilton; one brother, William L. Fox of Idaho; one sister, Renee F. Fox of Morrilton; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials and contributions may be made at the funeral home. Bob Neal and Sons Morrilton Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
Nona Honeycutt
Nona Sue Marcum Honeycutt, 64, of Casa died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004.
She was born Nov. 2, 1939, in Casa, to Mary Hayes Marcum and the late Eric Marcum. She was retired from Petit Jean State Park and a member of the Assembly of God in Ola. She is the widow of James Honeycutt.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Steele of Russellville and Devetta Robinson of Casa; one brother, Jerry Marcum of Deberry, Texas, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Assembly of God in Ola with the Rev. Norman Chenowith and the Rev. Lavan Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Casa Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Jack Robinson, Benny Robinson, Jimmy Cooper, Harlen Porter, William Wise, and Carmen Wise.
Dorothy Stallings
Dorothy Nell Stallings, 87, of Morrilton died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004.
She was born May 28, 1916, in Neptune, Tenn., a daughter of John Hunter and Lula Belle Hunter. She was the widow of Joe Stallings, a member of Morrilton First Presbyterian Church and Literary Coterie.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Joe Hill Stallings Jr., of Jonesboro; two daughters, Judy Hicks of Chesapeake, Va., and Jan Crum of Sherwood; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Kris Crawford officiating. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Joe Crum, David Montgomery, Robert Montgomery, Matt Bryant, Justin White, and Fred Peck.
Memorials may be made to the Morrilton First Presbyterian Church.
Larry Jones
Larry Elmo Jones, 58, of Arlington, Texas, died January 26, 2004.
He was born February 5, 1945, in Morrilton, Arkansas, a son of the late Elmo Jones and Eloise Gray Jones. Mr. Jones was a senior consultant for SAP Systems Integration, a United States Army veteran with the 9th Infantry Division as Sergeant E6 during the Vietnam War where he received a Bronze Star, the Army commendation medal and commendation with “V” Device for heroism.
Survivors include his wife, Karen (Wittibslager) Jones of Arlington; son, Jeff Jones of Arlington; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Michael Briggler of Morrilton; sisters, Carolyn Newberry of Lumber Bridge, North Carolina and Linda Klackle of Watervlite, Michigan; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Richard Davis officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.

Grace Dumas
Grace Jewel Dumas, 86, of Perryville, a retired grocer, died Monday, February 2, 2004.
She was a member of Perryville First Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and many clubs, organizations, and boards.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Archie D. Dumas; son, Archie D. Dumas Jr.; daughter, Rosemarie Wooley; four brothers, and four sisters.
Grace is survived by her daughter, Diane Gift and husband Ralph Gift Jr. of Alexander; two brothers, Bob Parnell of Searcy and Walter “Buddy” Parnell of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Betty Duncan of Osceola; nine grandchildren, Debra Peralta of Perryville, Mary and Ralph Gift III of Alexander, Jayme Moberly of Sheridan, Melissa Sims of Benton, Kimberly Williams of Texas, Lance and Scott Dumas of Bryant, and Shannon Frazier of Texas; 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 5, at the First Baptist Church in Perryville. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery, Highway 300, Perryville, by Harris Funeral Home of Perryville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Perryville Senior Adult Center.
Annie Mae Bowles
Annie Mae Bowles, 70, of Morrilton died Thursday, Jan.29, 2004.
She was born Feb. 28, 1933, in Morrilton, a daughter of Oscar Ashford and Willie Bennett Garrett. She was a member of St. Matthew No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church and the widow of Lemorn Bowles.
Survivors include one daughter, Francis Ann Burts of Bossier City, La.; three sons, Michael L. Bowles of Merced, Calif., Thomas L. Bowles and David F. Bowles, both of Morrilton; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Matthew No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church by Dr. Henry Harris. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery by Wilson and Jarrett Funeral Home Inc.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hammons, Sam McDaniel, Lee Houmbert, Robert Garrett, Minus Kindle, and Billy Carl Jeffers. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of the church.
