Tuffy McConnell
July 18, 1939 - July 22, 2018

Tuffy McConnell, age 79, of Mena, Arkansas, died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the family farm in Mena. He was born on Tuesday, July 18, 1939 to Charley and Bertha May Casey McConnell in Henrietta, Oklahoma.

Tuffy believed family came first and was always there for them. He loved to talk and never met a stranger. He was a drywall finisher for over 35 years where he worked with his boys and family. Tuffy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a great friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Buford McConnell and two sisters, Joyce Garland and Shirley Mizner.

Tuffy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pat McConnell of Mena; his sons and daughters in law, Danny and Mona McConnell of Mena and Charley and Cathy McConnell of Mena; two daughters and son in law, Cindy and Scott Ely of Temecula, California and Carla Rendon of Waldron; his sister, Wanda Bush of Bakersfield, California; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of God on Highway 88 East. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Park in Mena. Visitation will be Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers are Danny McConnell, Charley McConnell, Scott Ely, Brandon McConnell, Connor McConnell, Aaron McConnell and Wilbert Yocum.

Steven Lee Squires
April 29, 1964 - June 30, 2021

Steven Lee Squires, age 57, of Cove, Arkansas died on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at home in Cove, Arkansas. He was born on Wednesday, April 29, 1964 to Donald Ollen Squires and Diamond Merlyn Wilson in Bakersfield, California.

Steven was the Pastor of the Noble Learning Center in Cove for fifteen years. It was his life calling to seek the truth in God's Word. He was also a talented Architectural Drafter and was honored for his skill. Steven liked rock and roll music and enjoyed playing his guitar and reading his bible. God and family always guided his life and he cherished every moment. He adored his grandchildren and was so proud of the family and life God had provided. Steven was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle and will be missed by all who knew him.

Steven is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Vicky Squires of Cove; his father and step mother, Don and Karen Squires of Cove; his mother, Diamond Nicholes of Cove; four sons and daughters in law, Donny and Chorvy Squires of Lacey, Washington, Willy and Chrissy Squires of Cove, Tyler and Magan Squires of Smackover, Arkansas, and Ethan and Keirsten Squires of Cove; one brother and sister in law, Scott and Deidra Squires of Cove; nine grandchildren, Presley, Paxton, Elizabeth, Victoria, Adrianna, Kaydence, Maddison, Elinor, and Gideon; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at the Noble Learning Center in Cove. Cremation services are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Noble Learning Center at 342 Polk Road 32, Cove, AR 71937.

Jerin Bob Ferguson
December 15, 1979 - May 30, 2020

Jerin Bob Ferguson, age 40, of Mena, Arkansas died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Board Camp. He was born on Saturday, December 15, 1979 to Robert Lynn and Deanna Jean Kelly Ferguson in Mena, Arkansas.

Jerin was a fun loving, life of the party fellow that loved his family and especially the light of his life his daughter, Patience. Jerin join the United States Army National Guard at the age of 16 and upon graduating from Mena High School he was called upon to serve his country in Kuwait in the Southern Watch phase of Desert Storm. Jerin was very proud of his time in the military. He loved going deer, turkey and coon hunting, going fishing and going back roading. Jerin was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, uncle and a great friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

Jerin is survived by his daughter, Patience Ferguson of Mena; his parents, Bob and Deanna Ferguson of Mena; his brothers and sisters in law, Roy and Mandy Ferguson of Mena and Kyle and Nikki Ferguson of Mena; his sister and brother in law, Tara and Tim Milham of Mena; several aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020 will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the Ferguson Cabin on County Road 754 near Wolf Pen Gap with Brother Victor Rowell officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.

Harvey Samuel May
April 15, 2020 - November 1, 2020

Harvey Samuel May, age 52, of Mena, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at his home. He was born on Monday, April 15, 1968 to Larry and Joyce May in Medford, Oregon.

Harvey was a headstrong man with a heart of gold. He was a very hard worker, and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Harvey was a caring, Christian man and attended the First Christian Church in Mena. He worked for Aalfs Manufacturing for twenty years and later worked at Nidec Motor Corporation. Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle and was proud of all his hunting and fishing tournaments that he won. He liked horses, classic rock music, and was a big movie fan. Harvey cherished his children and family, and was incredibly proud of all of them. Harvey was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, companion and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Andy May, and Henry May.

Harvey is survived by his parents, Larry and Joyce May of Mena; two sons, Brayden May, and Colten May; five daughters and son in law, Erica May of Mena, Erin and Zac Anderle of Mena, Emily May of Mena, Rylee May, and Johnnie May; one sister and brother in law, Ashley and Hunter Dollar of Mena; former wife, Julie Schnell of Mena; his loving companion, Christy McCraw of Mena; his beloved dog, Taz; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 6, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Board Camp Cemetery in Board Camp, Arkansas under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Arkansas.

Bonnie Francis Martin
November 24, 1949 - June 17, 2020

Bonnie Francis Martin, age 70, of Hatfield, Arkansas, died Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in Berryville, Arkansas surrounded by family. She was born on Thursday, November 24, 1950 to Samuel Jefferson and Juanita Francis Hightower Pearl in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

She and Charlie loved their time together and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren. Bonnie loved raising dogs; she also had many different careers in her life and loved each one of them. Bonnie loved to read cookbooks and try different recipes. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, watching Westerns and going to thrift stores. Bonnie was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving companion, Charles Vaught.

Bonnie is survived by one stepson and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Bobbi Vaught of Berryville, Arkansas; one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Susie and Kevin Brown of Glen Allen, Virginia; her brothers, Frankie Pearl of Smithville, Oklahoma and Sam Pearl Watson, Oklahoma; sisters, Rebecca Dalton of Little Rock and Beverly Anderson of Watson, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Shane Brown of Richmond, Virginia, Joshua Brown of Lowell, Arkansas, Daniel Brown of Richmond, Virginia, Chelsea Abendroth of Holiday Island, Arkansas, and Shelby Vaught of Kenilworth, Utah; four great grandchildren; her aunt, Ann Hightower of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; her uncles, Bryon Morgan of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Brian Morgan of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at the Foote Cemetery in Cove, Arkansas. No visitation is planned. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Brown, Daniel Brown, Jason Duren, Sam Pearl, and Dalton Pearl.

Terry Shane Drager
December 28, 1969 - June 18, 2020

Terry Shane Drager, age 50, of Mena, Arkansas, died Thursday, June 18, 2020, at his home. He was born on Sunday, December 28, 1969, to Terry Milo and Shirley Drager in Houston, Texas.

Terry spent his younger years as a mechanic. He had a love for older cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed spending time at the river with his friends and family. He had the biggest heart and loved to help anyone he could. Terry was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Terry is survived by his mother, Shirley Drager of Mena; one sister and brother in law, Dr. Suzanne Drager and Brandon Marshall of Como, Colorado; one daughter, Shelby Drager of Mena, Arkansas; one son, Torrey Drager of Mena, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Paisley Walker and Aiden Drager; his best friends, Allen and Darla Martel, along with several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 9th Street Ministries, 306 9th St, Mena, AR 71953.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24 , 2020, 3:00 P.M. at the Living Word Pentecostal Church in Hatfield, Arkansas with Brother Rodney Provence officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hatfield under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home. General visitation at Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas during normal office hours.

Pallbearers will be Torrey Drager, Brandon Marshall, Melton Cannon, Darren Cannon, Timothy Land, and Floyd Walker.
