Mrs. Eunice Blackard

Mrs. Eunice M. Blackard, 88, of Clarksville died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Johnson County, daughter of the late Garland and Maude Smotherman Laneer, and widow of Conley Blackard.
She is survived by one sister, Wanda Chronister of Kibler; one brother, Luke Laneer of Clarksville; and three nephews, Jarvis Chronister of Van Buren and Michael Laneer and Ted Laneer, both of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carmon Austin officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jarvis Chronister, C. O. Blackard, H. B. Chronister Jr., Michael Laneer, M. E. Chronister, and Gene Koerdt.

Evert Hardcastle

Evert (E. J.) Hardcastle, 92, of Fort Smith, brother of Odys Hardcastle of Clarksville, died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at his home.
He was a son of the late Jim W. and Hattie Nichols Hardcastle, native of Ozark, retired coal miner and former salesman for the Galloway Oil and Tire Company, and a member of the Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church and the U.C.T.
Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rose Abercrombie Hardcastle; one daughter, Evelyn Sallee of Fort Smith; one son, Kenneth J. Hardcastle of Fort Smith; three sisters, Mary Opper and Lena Parker, both of Ozark, and Ocena Sutliff of Paris; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with Rev. Tim Sallee, Rev. Ronnie Gilmore and Rev. Ronnie Hutchings officiating. Burial was at Gracelawn cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mark Sallee, Anthony Sallee, Lee J. Hardcastle, Harold Henson, Archie Hillard, and Clancy Armstrong.

Mrs. Gloria M. Walker

Mrs. Gloria Massengale Walker, 48, died Monday, March 1, 1999, in a Glendale, Ariz., hospital.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Fred and Dorothy Massengale, and was active in First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale, Ariz.
Survivors include her husband; John Walker; two sons, Jason Walker and Kevin Walker; one daughter, Johnna Walker of the home; two grandchildren, Samantha and Brianna Walker; one brother Fred Massengale Jr. of Tempe, Ariz.; one sister, Donna Davis of Cole Camp, Mo.; grandmother, Mrs. Arkie (Delsie) Massengale of Pinckney, Mich.; three uncles, Gean Kelly of Utah, and Danny Massengale and Larry Massengale, both of Pinckney, Mich.; and an aunt, Treva Massengale Wilhelmsen of Pinckney, Mich.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, at the First Baptist Church in Avondale, Ariz., with Rev. Nathan Pillow officiating. Burial was in Hazelton cemetery in Buckeye, Ariz.

Mrs. Hallie Lee English

Mrs. Hallie Lee English, 89, of Ozark died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late James Riley and Nancy Delphia Lee, widow of Eddie Richard English, retired licensed practical nurse, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a Methodist.
She is survived by two sisters, Robby Lee Floyd Dillahunty and Argie Lee Green, both of Ozark; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 15, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Roger Glover and Rev. Ted Darling officiating. Burial was at Fort Smith National cemetery.

Mrs. Linda Buckalew

Mrs. Linda Gail Buckalew, 44, of Clarksville died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, James Buckalew of Arma, Kan.; one daughter, Heather Buckalew of Arma, Kan.; one son, Brian Buckalew of Arma, Kan.; parents, Edward Harding of Vicksburg, Miss., and Patsy Estel of Brandon, Miss.; and one sister, Joni Norwood of Vicksburg, Miss.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 18, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Schlinker officiating. Burial was in Fort Gibson, Miss.

Mrs. Lois Roberts

Mrs. Lois Roberts of Waxahachie, Texas, mother of Mrs. Raymond (Ruth) Kendrick of Clarksville, died Sunday, March 7, 1999.
She was a native of Pope County, daughter of the late Elisha and Mollie Kendrick, member of the First Assembly of God Church at Waxahachie, Texas, and was educated in the Prairie Grove Independent School District.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Doris Roberts of Warren, Ohio, Charles and Ann Roberts of Talco, Texas, Bob and Geneva Roberts of Springdale, and Earl and Jo Ann Roberts of Waxahachie, Texas; two other daughters and sons-in-law, Hazel and Loyd Prior of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Sybil and O. B. Cook of Malakoff, Texas; two brothers, Paul Kendrick of Russell-
ville and Dean Kendrick of Boynton, Okla.; two sisters, Othel Ingram of Russellville and Faye Ford of Willows, Okla.; 20 grandchildren including Johnson County Sheriff Wesley Kendrick of Clarksville; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, at Waxahachie Funeral Home with Rennie Baker and Rev. L. W. Dollar officiating. Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at Bowden cemetery at Crow Mountain with Rev. Herbert L. Corpany Jr. officiating.

Mrs. Ruby L. Mooney

Mrs. Ruby L. Mooney, 96, of Coal Hill died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Coal Hill Baptist Church, widow of Jim O. Mooney, daughter of the late Bill and Daisey Norman Smith, and was preceded in death by two daughters, Edith Haddock and Joetta (Tiny) Kirkpatrick, and one son, G. W. Mooney.
She is survived by three daughters, Daisy Clayborn and Alice Robaska, both of South Bend, Ind., and Loretta Ewers of Sherman, Texas; one son, Doye Mooney of South Bend, Ind.; two brothers, William D. Smith of Springdale and Burl Smith of Meridian, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, March 22, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Knox-
ville cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joe West, Eddie Thomas, Leon Smith, James Smith, and Randy Ewers.

Mrs. Uldean Kirshberger

Mrs. Uldean Kirshberger, 64, of Clarksville died Monday, March 22, 1999, at her home.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Wesley (Wes) Johnson, 1953 graduate of Clarksville High School, former radio dispatcher for the city of Clarksville, and former jail employee for the Johnson County Sheriff's Department.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Kirshberger; one daughter, Carolyn Kirshberger of Clarksville; one son, Michael Kirshberger of San Diego, Calif.; mother, Ethelene Johnson of Clarksville; one sister, Virdalene Chandler of Gulf Port, Miss.; and one grandson, Gabriel Kirshberger of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carmon Austin officiating. Burial will be in Stillwell cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Morris, Harold Johnson, Rick Weaver, Floyd Pledger, Wesley Kendrick, and Lee White.
