Cora Jane Terrill

Cora Jane Terrill, 95, of Clarksville died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Limestone, daughter of the late Frank Leslie and Lula Jane Alkire Terrill, member of the Mayflower Society, former postmaster at Montana, member of the Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by four brothers, Nate, Alfred, Wallace and Elga Terrill.
She is survived by one sister, Nora Tharp of Clarksville; one sister-in-law, Margaret Terrill of Hartman; 14 nieces and nephews, Bertha Skidgel, Darrell Terrill, and Ray Terrill, all of Hartman, Bob Terrill of Atwater, Calif., Jeanette Murray of Ithaca, Neb., June Farmer, Peggy Carta, Ruth Ann Duran, and Nora Muriel Terrill, all of Clarksville, Jim Terrill of Lamar, Max Terrill and Tammy Terrill, both of Bernie, Mo., David Terrill of Mauldin, Mo., and Eva Jane Cravens of Parma, Mo.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with John Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.

Dennis L. Johnson

Dennis Lloyd Johnson, 44, of Clarksville died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at his home.
He was an employee of Acme Brick Company, Baptist, and son of the late Ernest and Lula Marie Fletcher Johnson.
Survivors include his widow, Karen Clare Johnson; three daughters, Monica Johnson of Dover, Melissa Hall of Mayflower, and Sarah Johnson of Lamar; one stepdaughter, Amy Evans of Warren; one stepson, Alan Hopkins of Magazine; four brothers, Bill Johnson of Clarksville, David Johnson of Dardanelle, Dan Johnson of Wake Village, Texas, and Ernie Johnson of Oak Harbor, Wash.; and five grandchildren, Lorie Hall, Faith Johnson, Samantha Evans, Brittany Hopkins, and Cordell Kiersey.
Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at Lamar cemetery with Rev. Ira Taylor officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Elva M. Maddox

Elva M. Maddox, 94, of Clarksville died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Nanjemoy, Md., daughter of the late William and Rose Brown, widow of Earl Maddox, and member of Woodland Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Elsie Wadley of Clarksville; and one sister, Lydia Thompson of Maryland.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Sawyer and Rev. Sam Howell officiating.
Burial was in the Woodland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Herman Houston, David Gilliam, Mark Nowotny, Ken Childers, Walter Nowotny, and Gene Faulkner.

Jimmy Clayborn

Jimmy Clayborn, 57, of Mansfield died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital.
He was a construction manager for AOG, veteran of the U. S. Army and the Vietnam War, and son of the late Leonard Clayborn.
Survivors include his widow, Betty Clayborn; one daughter, Robbin Heidelberg of Natural Dam; three stepdaughters, Bettina Brown of Van Buren, Dena Champion of Paris, and Angela Ward of Huntington; one stepson, Bruce Yandell of Waldron; mother, Ruby Clayborn of Rudy; five sisters, Connie Bernier of Rudy, Bonnie Knick and Donnie Bradley, both of Clarksville, Geneva Carlton of Fayetteville, and Ora Lou Aichele of Charleston, S. C.; three brothers, Fred Clayborn of Russellville and Tommy Clayborn and Danny Clayborn, both of Clarksville; and nine grandchildren, Matthew and Autumn Heidelberg of Natural Dam, Mia Brown of Van Buren, Joseph Huck, Andrea Huck and Haleigh Huck of Paris, Bryce Yandell of Waldron, and Kimberly and Brianna Ward of Huntington.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Huntingtom Assembly of God Church.
Burial was in Huntington City cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Pallbearers were Terry Wallace, Lester Ford, Johnny Wells, Larry Dake, Travis Walton, and Tony Sharp.

Ken Smith

Ken Smith, 75, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Clarksville, died Jan. 16, 2003.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and manager for 25 years with Minyard Food Stores.
Survivors include his widow, Sue Smith; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Ann Marie Smith and Steve and Grace Smith; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lola and Flynn Kinman and Estella Sefcik of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at Saturn Road Church of Christ with John Scott and Jim Hackney officiating. Inturment was at Restland Memorial Park.

Opal Mae Gash

Opal Mae Gash, 92, of Clarksville died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was a member of the Hays Chapel Methodist Church, daughter of the late Lee Roy (Bud) and Fannie Mae Spotts Gash, retired from Quick Service Laundry after 25-plus years, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Clark and Everett Gash.
She is survived by one sister, Leroy Turner of Owasso, Okla.; and a cousin, Aleen Lush of Tulsa, Okla.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Chris Rink officiating. Burial was in Union Grove cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Don Pennington, Edd Young, Ted Young, Keith Frost, Woody Rose, Mark Nowotny, Bennie Ross, and Virgil Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby John Turner, Steve M. Clark, James Richardson, Bobbie Turner, Brian Turner, Michael Weldon, Bill Brooks, and Tommy Brooks.

Vernie S. Langston

Vernie Sexton Langston, 74, of Hartman, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at Missouri City, Texas.
She was a daughter of the late Howard T. and Donie Davis Ross, widow of Ernest Sexton and Porter Langston, Baptist, and retired Singer Company employee. She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Padgett.
Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Darrell Randolph of Ozark and Diana and Gary McCoy of Duncan, Okla.; one brother, Vernard (Bud) Ross of Hunt; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the Liberty Hill cemetery with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were John Lane, Gary Mills, Bentley Yates, Dee Yates, and Loye Randolph.

Clyde E. Harris

Clyde E. Harris, 76, of Clarksville died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at his home.
He was a native of Hollis, Okla., son of the late Charles and Bessie Beckett Harris, minister for 40 years, member of Cross Roads Assembly of God Church, and a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his widow, Ruth M. Harris; one daughter, Linda Reinholtz of Lowell; one son, Le Roy Harris of Clarksville; three sisters, Zana Harris of Fort Smith, Mary Magby of Mountainburg, and Ann Vaughn of Rudy; one brother, Leon Harris of Fort Smith; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at Mt. Vernon cemetery with Rev. Gerald Morris officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Shawn Harris, Roy Harris, Danny Goodin, Carl Sorey, Jim Tong, and Kenny Reinholtz.
Honorary pallbearer was Jerry Waits.

Carrie O. Hardgrave

Carrie O'Neal Hardgrave, 104, of Fort Smith, formerly of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003 in Fort Smith.
A native of the Springhill Community, she was a daughter of the late George and Celia Gillian Peters, member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville, widow of Lee O'Neal and Earl Hardgrave, and was preceded in death by two sons, Boyd O'Neal and Troy O'Neal.
She is survived by two daughters, Hazel Holt of Springdale and Audrey Edwards of Fort Smith; three sons, Bill O'Neal of Clarksville and Norman O'Neal and Gorman O'Neal, both of Hot Springs; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Oakland cemetery in Clarksville with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
