SSG. Christopher Thomas Kilroy

31, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, went to meet his Lord and Savior on September 8, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Arkansas after unexpected complications due to a surgery. He was born March 22, 1978 in Camden, New Jersey to Margaret “Peggy” Petruzzi and later the beloved son of Gene Petruizzi.

Chris moved from New Jersey to Lincoln in 1992. He graduated from Lincoln High School having served as Captain of the football team, the first male Lincoln Cheerleader and was infectious with his attitude and his smile.

He was an active member of the Army National Guard where he served honorably in Operation Noble Eagle. He began recruiting in 2004 in Logan County and later started recruiting in Washington County and the Lincoln area, his adopted hometown. And he did it well..

Chris is survived by his wife, Amber Kilroy of the home; three sons, Noah, Michael and Christopher Jacob all of Lincoln, Arkansas; his mother and father, Gene and Peggy Petruzzi of Florida. father and mother in law, Lynn and Lisa Davison of Fayetteville, Arkansas; very special grandparents, Dolores and Dennis Fox; father in law, Michael Fox and his wife, Peggie of Texas; sister in law, Jessica Maynard and her husband, James; one niece, Lauren and one nephew, Jacob; he is survived by many friends, coworkers, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12:00-1:00 P.M. at the Lincoln High School Auditorium.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 - 2:00 P.M. at the Lincoln High School Auditorium in Lincoln, Arkansas. Interment will be held at Bethesda cemetery near Morrow, Arkansas with full military honors.

Pallbearers will be: Kenny Hulse, Brady Springer, Jeremy Coleman, Jordan Harrelson, SFC. Jason Wilson, SFC. Clint Flood, SSG. Anthony Moats and CPL. Jason Cole

Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Edward Matthew Gleich

82, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord on September 27, 2009 at his home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He was born May 15, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Edward and Helen Simms Gleich.

Ed served in the United States Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Billie Ruth Gleich of the home; one son and daughter in law, Edward and Myong Gleich of Tigard, Oregon; five daughters and sons in law, Monica and Paul Magee of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Maryjean and David Murphree, Pat and Joe Ogle and Carol and Jim Wilkins all of Bee Branch, Arkansas and Carleen and Dennis Arinello of Virginia Beach, Virginia; eleven grandchildren, Keri Bullington, Michael Brogen, Delores Clark, Amanda Swofford, Josie Ogle, Briannon Ogle, Kyle Wilkins, Bryan Gleich, Dennis Arinello, Sara Johnson and Megan Hyler; fourteen great grandchildren, Alexa, Allison, Kaitlyn and Joshua Bullington, Jonathon and William Brogen, Nathan Ogle, Jordan Hyler, Baylee and Sidni Clark, Easton and Riley Swofford, Emma and Avrie Wilkins.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009 - 12:30 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Graveside services will follow in the National cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas at 2:00 P.M.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Michael Brogen, Kyle Wilkins, Bobby Swofford, Dallas Clark, Jimmy Bullington and Bryan Gleich

Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Gary Wayne Jamison

60, a resident of Cane Hill, Arkansas, passed away August 11, 2009 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born June 18, 1949 at Poteau, Oklahoma, the son of Edward Thomas and Eva Lee Mobley Jamison.

Survivors include his companion Charolette Hartman to whom he was married for 18 years, divorced and had reunited with plans to be married ; three sons, Monte Jamison of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Gary Dean Jamison of New Jersey and Marty Smith of Van Buren, Arkansas; one daughter, Misty Dawn Nolan of Cane Hill, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Dr. Betty C. Marie

67, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, former Farmington Assistant Superintendent life's work on earth was completed on September 23, 2009. Mrs. Marie had served as a lifetime mother and educator in Texas, California, and Arkansas that spanned more than 44 years. Teaching and learning was her lifelong vocation. She held two Masters’ degrees, one in special education and the other in education leadership and supervision. She received her doctoral degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in May 1996.

Her life was filled with serving her community and in her teaching field. Some of her outstanding accomplishments were: former president of the Arkansas Association of Special Education Administrators and Arkansas Federation of the Council for Exceptional Children. She served as a board member of the Arkansas Association for Education Administrators. Also, she was a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculums Development and the Arkansas Association of Education Administrators. She was an officer of Farmington Chamber of Commerce, A deacon of Rolling Hills Baptist Church, helped to organize a world wide candle lighting service for families who have lost children.

She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Beth Ann Marie and her parents Guy and Cleon Hughes Highnote.

She is survived by her brother Jerry Highnote and his wife Kay and a cousin Barbara Hendrix along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a multitude of loving friends.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2009 - 2:00 p.m. at the Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Memorials may be sent in memory of Betty C. Marie to Rolling Hills Baptist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.

Carol Lynn Fidler

66, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away July 2, 2009 in Houston, Texas. She was born June 30, 1943 at Evanston, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Hazel Wenell Brandenhoff.

Carol was a member of the United Methodist Church of Prairie Grove. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She taught at the Prairie Grove Elementary School from 1967 until 1988.

Carol was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Lee Fidler.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Fidler of the home; one son, Shawn Fidler and wife Julie of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one daughter, Shannon Fidler of Farmington, Arkansas; her mother, Hazel Stearns and husband John of Farmington, Arkansas; one sister, Donna Dermyer of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandsons, Clay Fidler and Kyle Fidler.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009 - 2:00 P.M. at the Prairie Grove Christian Church Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with Matthew Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove cemetery Prairie Grove, Arkansas. No visitation will be held.

In lieu of flowers memorials may by made to the Carol Fidler Scholarship Fund in care of any Arvest Bank.

Jane S. Thurman

of Springdale, AR passed away Wednesday July 1, 2009 in Springdale, AR. She was born August 7th in Park Hill, Oklahoma, to Jesse Fred Summers and Elsie (Moore) Summers.

She was a retired registered nurse and a member of the Springdale Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Thurman.

She is survived by two daughters; Janelle York Berry of Via Campestre, New Mexico, Debra York Hudson of Essex Junction, Vermont, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Springdale Church of God located at 3749 South Powell Street in Springdale, AR with Reverend Danny L. McCulley officiating. A committal service will follow at 2:00 PM in Sugar Hill cemetery in Lincoln, AR.

Memorial contributions may be made to Springdale Church of God, P.O. Box 265 Springdale, AR 72765.

Bobby Gene Key

53, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away August 11, 2009 at his home in Lincoln, Arkansas. He was born December 20, 1955 in Cedarville, Arkansas, the son of Claude and Vola Carter Key.

Bobby served in the United States Army Reserves from 1975-1981.

Survivors in his wife, Debbie Key of the home; two sons, Brian Key and Darrin Key, two daughters, Brianne Key and Kaitlin Key all of Lincoln, Arkansas; his mother, Vola Mae Key of Westville, Oklahoma; two brothers, Danny Key of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Jim Key of Westville, Oklahoma; six sisters, Lea Lovejoy of Evansville, Arkansas, Lou Cooper of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Mary Stewart of Westville, Oklahoma, Betty Skinner of Van Buren, Arkansas, Jackie Price of Stilwell, Oklahoma and Vicki Harlin of Westville, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Braelyn Key, Cannon Key and Kaiden Key.
