SCOTT, Helen C., age 84, of Austin, Texas passed away on July 9, 2000.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Casimir Siat and by her second husband, Raul D. Scott.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Graham and her husband Bill of Rogue River, Oregon, Pat Bender and her husband Tom of Austin, Texas, and Connie Newby and her husband Gary Garcia of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Harrell Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

SHEA, Tericia, 59, of Tucson, died July 8, 2000. Wife of Charles Shea; mother of Rex Shea of Tucson, Lisa Philips and Belinda (Patrick) Otte, of Las Vegas; sister of Karen James of Pahrump, NV; sister-in-law of Betty Ann Shea of Phoenix; grandmother of Cory, Tyler, Amanda, Andrew and Patrick. Templeton, Chella Margaret 'Peggy' 85, of Tucson, went home to be with the Lord, July 9, 2000 at 10:45 am. After many years of brave fighting she is at peace. Survived by husband of 35 years, John (Jack) R. Templeton, daughter, Janice Vaughan, sons Richard A. Merrill, Victor E. Merrill, stepchildren Linda Moore, Darla Payne, Jim Templeton, 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was born in Sisterville, West Virginia on December 25, 1914. Lived a short time in Oklahoma, then grew up in Akron, Ohio until she moved to Tucson, AZ in 1960.
In lieu of flowers any donations can be made to The American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. There will be no funeral service per her request.

THURTON, Althia, 85, of Tucson, AZ passed away on July 7, 2000. She is survived by brothers, Johnnie, Jeffery, and Willie Pierson all of Tucson and F.C.L. Pierson of Grapeland, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, July 14, 2000 at 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 210 E. Lester, with Reverend Ricky B. Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at South Lawn cemetery. Arrangements by Family owned ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd.

VanBuskirk, William O., 70, of Tucson, Arizona passed away July 09, 2000. He was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, January 17, 1930. He is survived by his loving wife of forty nine years of marriage, Mary VanBuskirk; one son, John VanBuskirk; one daughter, Vickie Nunez; two grandchildren, Shana and Francisco Nunez; two sisters, Nona Croskey and Mary Hosea; and his beloved dog, Max. No services are planned. Services entrusted to SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

HUDSON, William (Billy) Gerald, passed away suddenly at TMC, July 10, 2000. He was born March 31, 1969 in San Manuel. He lived here all his life. Was an '87 graduate at San Manuel High School. Worked for BHP Copper in Underground Operations for 12 years. Was presently employed by Clear Glass, owned by Bill's best friend, Jess Walken. Survived by his parents, Carl and Velma Hudson of San Manuel; two brothers, Carl, Jr. (Shorty), wife Kelly of Oracle, Thomas of San Manuel; and sister Veanna (Ty) Pebworth of Page Springs; two nieces; and two nephews; grandfather, Victor Clark of Oracle; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Billy was a special son, loving brother, terrific uncle, and trusted friend. He will always be remembered for giving to anyone in need.
Visitation Friday, July 14, 2000 from 10:00 – 12:00 Noon at ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3435 N. 1st. Ave., (888-1111).
A Memorial service will follow, Friday, July 14, 2000 at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church, on McNabb in San Manuel, AZ with Rev. Jeff Dixon officiating.

BERK 'SKIP' INSKEEP, Age 70, of Tucson, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2000. Survived by his wife, Lois; daughter, Debbie (Jim) Grace; two granddaughters, Jamie (Jamie) Hussell and Melanie; great-grandson, Dylan, all of Tucson. Berk came to Tucson in 1934, attended local schools and graduated from Tucson High School. Berk married Lois in 1951 and together they were deeply involved in archery for 25 years. He worked as a civil engineer for ADOT for over 25 years. Berk will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Friends may call Thursday, July 13, 2000 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel. Memorial service will be held Friday, July 14, 2000 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, with Dr. Wayne L. North officiating. Arrangements by Family owned ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. Dodge and Speedway.

KLEPFER, Thomas W., 57, of Tucson, passed away on July 10, 2000. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. Klepfer. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; one son, Thomas II; one daughter, K.C.; his mother, Katherine; a sister, Barbara; seven grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends. He was an active member of I.B.E.W. Local 570. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 14, at 10:00 a.m. at South Lawn cemetery. Interment to follow. Arrangements made by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

LAWRENCE, Robert L., 81, died Tuesday July 11, 2000. Survived by his wife, Sayre Webster Lawrence; daughter, Becky Sayre Pearson; granddaughter, Goldie Lawrence; daughters-in-law, Barbara Jones Lawrence and Christine Williamson Lawrence; sons, Larry, Brad, Eric and Curt; and son-in-law, Frank Pearson.
Bob, son of Ida and Newton Lawrence, was born and raised in Eureka, CA. He was called to active duty with the U.S. Navy at the start of WWII. Upon receiving his degree from Humboldt State, he attended OCS at the U of A where he met his wife, Sayre Webster. After service in the Korean conflict, they settled in Tucson. Bob retired from the Naval Reserves in 1969, and from ADOT in 1979. He was Active in TROA and MOWW.
There will be private services for the family. Donations in his memory may be sent to the American Heart Association or the Tucson Retired Offices Association Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 15299, Tucson, AZ 85708. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

MARCHESE, Michael (Mick), went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2000. He was a cherished partner of Sandy for almost 40 years. He is survived by two sons, Robert (Tricia) and Luke of NY, his mother Helen from NY, and a brother Don (Mary) from NC, as well as many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. Mick was born in TN, October 27, 1937, but spent his school years in Poughkeepsie, NY. After college he returned to Poughkeepsie where he started his IBM career of 33 years. In 1967 he and his family moved to Boulder, CO until 1979 when they all moved to Tucson with a short 3 year assignment in Paris, France before Mick retired in May of 1993.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2000 at 2:00 pm at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 1431 W. Magee Rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Marks Methodist Church or the Boy Scouts of America Catalina Council, 5049 E. Broadway, Tucson, AZ, 85711

ALINE C. MASSEY, 72, beloved mother, passed away July 11, 2000 after a long illness. She was a professional woman, loving mother and wife. She is survived by daughter, Diane Boomershine (Thomas) of Tucson; sisters, Irene Martin (Gene) of Portales, NM, Leona Norris of Dunn, NC, Pauline Sessoms (Leroy) of Erwin, NC; sister-in-law Anne of Erwin, NC; brother, Earl Cox (Helen) of Erwin, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. preceded in death by husband, William Massey of Tucson; and brothers, James, Arthur and Charles of Erwin, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arizona Cancer Center/U of A Foundation, 1515 N. Campbell Avenue, Rm 1978, P.O. Box 245013, Tucson, AZ 85724. Memorial service 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2000 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

MEYERSON, Sara Label, 81, of Tucson, died July 11, 2000. She is survived by her sons, Joel D. Meyerson of Annandale, VA and Ronald L. (Hannah) Meyerson of Tucson; her grandchildren, David J. Meyerson, Jeffrey E. Meyerson and Barrie A. Meyerson, all of Tucson; her sisters, Lillian (Gerson) Horton and Mildred LaBelle, all of Detroit, MI; her 103 year old mother-in-law, Rose Meyerson of Tucson; and many nephews and nieces. Mrs. Meyerson was predeceased by her husband, Ben Meyerson on November 20, 1997. She was a long time employee and corporate officer of U.S. Home Corporation and had volunteered for many years at the Tucson Hebrew Academy. Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile, Rabbi Emeritus, Arthur R. Oleisky and Cantor Ivor Lichterman, Congregation Anshei Israel, officiating. Interment will follow in the Congregation Anshei Israel section of Evergreen cemetery. REBECCA A. POLINSKI, 35, of Tucson, was tragically taken from us on July 8, 2000. Survivors include her loving husband, Ken; children, Tanya and Tyler; parents, Narciso and Florita Anover of the Philippines; father and mother-in-law, LeRoy and Carol Polinski, of Rhinelander, WI; sister, Adora Ortega; brothers, Ceasar, Narciso Jr., Salvador, Romeo, and Noel Anover all of the Philippines; brother-in-law, Dennis of West Bend, WI; and sister-in-law, Beth of Rhinelander, WI. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., at Speedway, Thursday, July 13, 2000 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, on Friday, July 14 at 3:00 p.m. Rebecca will return to the Philippines for her burial.

RIESSEN, Orval Henry, born October 2, 1919 in Osmond, NE. Graduated Northwestern University with a BA and MA in music. Serviced in the army in WWII. Band leader on the ship Normandy. Married Jean Kleckner in Racine, WI, December 20, 1941. Taught music and directed University High School music program in St. Louis, MO. Moved to Evanston, IL in 1957, where he pursued music publishing and real estate. His interests were tennis and bridge, where he competed on a national level. He and Jean moved to Tucson in 1980. All his life his biggest passion was his family. He is survived by wife Jean; three children, Jerry, Kathryn, and Bob; seven grandchildren. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease, P.O. Box 44252, Tucson, AZ 85733. Arrangements made by ARIZONA MORTUARY UNIVERSITY CHAPEL.

HERBERT A. TOST - Died July 9, 2000 at the age of 81, following a brief illness. He served one year with the Army Air Corp before joining the U.S. Air Force, and retired after 30 years of service as a CMSgt. Herb moved to Tucson in 1957. After his retirement from the Air Force he worked for 17 years at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith. Survived by wife of sixty years, Theodora; daughter, Pam (Larry) Cunningham; son, Bruce (Nancy); grandchildren, Wendy-Leiala, James (Ginger) and Patrick; sisters, Rosena and Linda; brother, Kenny, all of Indiana. Herb was a kind and gentle man who spent the last several years lovingly caring for his wife. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Humane Society. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

MARIA G. VALENZUELA, 94, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away July 11, 2000. preceded in death by husband, Andres M. Valenzuela; son, Fernando G. Valenzuela. Survived by daughters, Mary G. Taylor and Frances A. (Robert) Ortega; son, Secondino Valenzuela; also survived by eight grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2000 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave., with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Saturday, July 15, 2000, 9:30 a.m. at St. John's Church, 602 W. Ajo Way. Interment to follow at Holy Hope cemetery. WALTER, Ina Marie, died peacefully on July 11, 2000 in Tucson, AZ after courageously struggling with many illnesses, including a recent stroke. She is remembered with tenderness by her husband, Alfred K. Walter of Tucson, AZ; daughters, Patricia Walter of Chicago, IL, Janice Tichy of Albuquerque, NM and Cynthia Walter of Greensburg, PA, as well as her brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Dorothy Carlson of Sarasota, FL; four granddaughters, Laura, Jessica, Jennifer, and Megan; and sons-in-law, Thomas Tichy and John Atherton.
Ina lived an abundant life in the service of others, as a nurse, a mother and a dear friend to many. Born to Swedish immigrants in 1917, she grew up in Iron Mountain, MI. She bravely ventured to Chicago to become a nurse at Swedish Covenant Hospital (Class of 1940). In 1943, she married and settled near Chicago until 1971, when she and her husband moved to Tucson. Ina became an active member of Christ Presbyterian Church and the local Vasa Lodge. She continued to care for everyone she knew, sharing her generous heart, her knowledge of medicine, and her famous coffee cake. A master of many crafts, she created six Cathedral window quilts which are among the most valued heritage she leaves to her family. Ina drew strength from her faith in God and inspiration from the many poems and sayings she collected for over 50 years. We invite you to share her favorite hymns and verses with us at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, on Friday, July 14.
