VALENZUELA, Frank T., 45, of Tucson, died February 18, 1996. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Valenzuela. He is survived by his daughter, Christyanna; loving friend, Rita Flattely; father, Jose M. Valenzuela; brothers, David, Rene of New York, Danny and Leo Valenzuela; sisters, Maria G. (Oscar) Corral, Yolanda (Joe) Quiroz, Judy J. Valenzuela, Connie Zaldo (John Evans) of CA, Marcie (Gilbert) Carrillo, Jr. and Theresa Schroeder, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Services will be held at HEATHER MORTUARY, 1040 N. Columbus Blvd., Friday, February 23, 1996. Friends may call one hour prior to Service Time. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. WALDEN, Dorothy Dayton, 83, of Phoenix from 1942-1943, Tucson from 1943-1967 and Green Valley since 1967, died February 17, 1996. Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. February 23, 1996 at St. Francis in the Valley Episcopal Church with Rev. Ted Holt officiating.

ZICKERMAN, Gladys, 81, died February 18, 1996. Survived by sons, Philip and Gib; six grandchildren. Friends may call 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 1996 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Rev. Judith E. Stone-Horst officiating. BUSH, Lois J., was a devout Christian who fought a long battle with lymphoma cancer and went to be with the Lord February 21, 1996. She was born 24 March 1934 in Claridge, PA. Survived by husband, Mervin “Pete’ Bush of Tucson; son, Boyce of Fairbanks, AK; mother, Mary Ritson of McCullough, PA; and her brothers, Robert Ritson of St. Charles, MO and Richard Ritson of Belle Vernon, PA. She was loved deeply by her numerous friends. She moved to Tucson in 1971 after accompanying her husband on varying assignments during his career in the US Air Force. She was a member of the Davis-Monthan AFB Protestant Women of the Chapel, the Adult Sunday School Class, and Wednesday Bible Study. She was the secretary of the U of A Foundation, delivered mobile meals and assisted the elderly. Friends may call 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 1996 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. where Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 1996. Entombment to follow at East Lawn Palms Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Gospel Rescue Mission.

FOSS, Richard Dell, 54, of Tucson, died February 18, 1996. Survived by wife, Linda; parents, Lewis and Elma Foss; daughter, Melinda (Brian) Ernest, all of Tucson; son, Scott (Kimberly) Foss of Littleton, CO; sisters, Linda (Greg) Meade and Nancy (Benny) Bingham, all of Tucson; brothers, LeRoy (Karen) Foss of Tucson and Thomas (Linda) Foss of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren, Collin Foss, Cody and Riley Ernest; mother-in-law, Annette Lunn of Chandler; sisters-in-law, Sharon Valley of Silverdale, WA, Nadine Valley of Chandler and Becky Brendel of Tucson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s residence on Saturday, February 24, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Andrew G. Ross of Northminster Presbyterian Church officiating. GRAINGER, Katherine, left this life February 21, 1996. Beloved wife of James Grainger. Survived by her husband and her four children, Jeanne Stewart (David) of Albuquerque, NM, Bonnie Thompson (John), Sarah Blake, Jim Grainger (Karen), all of Tucson. Survived also by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers, Chester Kishline of Columbia, SC, Donald and David Kishline of Evansville, IN. Katherine was born May 5, 1920 in Evansville, IN. She was a member of Arizona Chapter #2, Order of Eastern Star and active in the Parent Teacher Association in TUSD. Services will be held Saturday, February 24, 1996 10:00 a.m. at Canyon del Oro Baptist Church, 9200 N. Oracle Rd.

GREGORY, Matthew Robert, 34, of Tucson, died February 23, 1996. Husband of Lisa (Della Rocca) Gregory; son of Mary Ellen Gregory of Tucson; brother of Nancy Gregory of Sacramento, CA, Michael (Susan) Gregory of Claremont, CA, Paul (Margo) Gregory of Tucson. Preceded in death by Father T. Richard Gregory M.D. He was the loving uncle of Nathan, Jason and Jane. Matt was born February 9, 1962 in Phoenix and attended Phoenix Country Day School and subsequently Pamona College in California and the ASU College of Law. He was a member of the Bar of both Arizona and California. He was much loved and will be missed greatly by his family and many friends. A Memorial Meeting will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd., (1 1/2 block North of Grant), 327-6341.

GRISWOLD, Esther E., 86, of Tucson, died February 21, 1996. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 27 years, Glennan. Survived by son, Ron Donat; daughters, Francie Starke, Diane Dunavant; sister, Mary Ann Olsen; four grandsons; three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one niece; two nephews. She was a member of PEO Sisterhood, Tucson Women’s Club and past member of TMC Auxiliary. Services of Love and Remembrance will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. William Killian and Pastor John M. Witkop officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Streams in the Desert Lutheran Church or Tucson Women’s Club Scholarship Fund. HEIB, Eileen C., 73, of Tucson, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 1996. Survived by beloved brother, Frank (Shirley) Baker; nieces, Claudia (Pete) Penczar and Betsy (Chris) Shipley; nephews, Terry (Suzan) Baker and Mike (Angie) Baker; three grandnieces; and four grandnephews also survive. Funeral Mass will be at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco, Saturday, February 24, 1996 – time pending. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery. LADWIG, D. E., 49, of Oklahoma City, OK, a video game business manager, died of a heart attack February 12, 1996. Del was born in Burlington, WI. Survivors include his parents, Delbert and Lois Ladwig of Tucson; brothers, Bruce (Lynne) and William of Plano, TX; sisters, Suzanne (Bill) Stock of Tucson; nephews, Alan (Jennifer) and Casey Stock and Michael Ladwig; niece, Katherine Ladwig; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Service by Pastor Eldon Weisheit will be held at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, 710 S. Kolb Rd., Saturday, February 24, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Memorial Fund in his name to the Church.

SAKRISON, Mari T., 92, of Tucson, died February 20, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and son David. She is survived by her son, Jim Sakrison (Dee Ann) of Tucson; daughter-in-law, Connie Sakrison of Oakland, CA; and grandchildren, Kara Upton, Kirsten Hill, John Sakrison, Holly Sakrison and Jim Sakrison, Jr.; and three great-grandchildren. Private Service. Memorial contributions may be made to Arizona Children’s Home, 2700 S. Park, Tucson 85713, to Cottey College, Nevada, MO 64772 or to Chapter W of PEO.

SCIBIENSKI, Henry John passed on Wednesday, February 21, 1996 at age 87. He was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He is an Alumna of Rensallear and an electrical engineer. He went to Texas in the early 30's and became active in the production of oil and gas. In 1958 he moved to Phoenix, AZ, where he became a real estate broker. In 1975 he moved to Tucson where he met and married his second wife, Barbara J. Hunter. He was an artistic man with numerous hobbies, such as gardening, woodworking and lapidary. He is survived by wife, Barbara; and his two sons from a previous marriage, Paul and Robert; three grandchildren; and three sisters and a brother. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 23, 1996 at St. Odilia’s Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo Del Norte, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.

CARBONARI, Eraldo, 79, died February 20, 1996. Husband of Mary Carbonari of Tucson; father of James (Katy) Carbonari of MN, Gerald (Kay) Carbonari of Tucson and Rita (John) Watts of CA; brother of Fred Carbonari of Chicago; 10 grandchildren also survive. He was formerly of Chicago where he owned and operated an accordion tuning and repair business for 45 years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. He will be fondly remembered by the many hearts he touched. Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 26, 1996 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco, with Father Charles Cloud officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church would be appreciated. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

GRALTON, Mary Alice Bower, 72, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away February 21, 1996. She was born in Amanda, OH, the daughter of Edward and Ada Bower. She graduated from the Grant Hospital School of Nursing, and served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. She had been a resident of Tucson since 1966, where she worked as a registered nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital until her retirement in 1986. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she always placed first. She took pride in our happiness and accomplishments and we believe she watches over us still. She is survived by her children, Patricia, Kristina and Paul M. Gralton, Jr., all of Tucson, Pamela Blank of Anchorage, AK, Beth Gralton of Athens, GA, and Mary Kent and son-in-law, John Kent of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Jacquiline (Gralton) Cohen of Tucson, Samuel Kent of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Carrie Edwards of Hillsboro, OH, Helen Rupp of Chevy Chase, MD, Jayne Garber of Sabina, OH and Ethel Boone of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Wayne Bower of Tucson and Clyde Bower of Washington C.H., OH. The Rosary will be held on February 26, 1996 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be held on February 27, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Francisco, CA alongside her husband, Paul M. Gralton, Sr., and infant son, Michael Gralton. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Carondelet Foundation Hospice, P.O. Box 13170, Tucson, AZ 85732. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY.

NEVIN, John Joseph, 87, of Palos Park, IL, passed away February 17, 1996. Beloved husband of Helen; loving father of Bob (Peggy) of Orland Park, IL, Bill (Judy) of Tucson, AZ and Joan (John) Blew of Chicago, IL; dear stepfather of Mark (Susan) of Long Grove, IL and Steve (Carol) of Oakland, CA; grandfather of 12; great grandfather of two; fond brother of Peggy (John) Kurtzke of Falls Church, VA. Private Services in Palos Park.

RAPP, Leona, 78, of Tucson, died February 15, 1996. Survivors include daughter, Nancy (Bill) Butler; and grandson, Timothy, all of CO. Memorial Services will be at Tucson Masonic Lodge #4, 1944 E. Allen Rd., at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 1996. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Square and Compass Children’s Clinic.

ROBERSON, Russell “Bob’ 85, of Tucson, died February 22, 1996. Survivors include his wife of 56 year, Geri; two sons, Robert J. (Glenda) Roberson of Lake Oswego, OR, Jerry Roger Roberson of Tucson; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Wood; plus nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives. Russell has been a resident of Tucson since 1934 and an active member of numerous organizations and a longtime member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Memorial Services will be at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 E. University 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 1996 with Rev. Jack Baca officiating. WIEKHORST, Loyal T., 84, of Tucson died February 21, 1996. Sadly missed by Ruth, his wife of 57 years; sons, Todd (Ingrun) and Wayne; daughter, Rita (James) Hicks; four grandchildren, Faye (Christopher) Gandolfi, Ryan Wiekhorst and Tracy and Lee Hicks. Born in Nebraska March 23, 1911, Loyal enjoyed a fulfilling life, bringing much joy and laughter to those who had the privilege to know him. His generosity was unequalled. A former member of the Tucson Sheriff’s Posse, he also was a member in good standing of the Elks Club, Lodge #385 at the time of death. Services are private.

HUSTED, Warren T., 79, died February 24, 1996. Father of W. Tom (Karen) Husted of Bernardino, Jerry L. Husted of Tucson, Catherine (Marshall) Giesy of Amado. Brother-in-law of Fae Husted of St. David. Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, with Rev. James Daughtry officiating. Burial will be at Tucson Memorial Park South Lawn with Rev. Daughtry and Tucson Masonic Lodge #4 F&AM officiating. Mr. Husted was a member of the Optimist Club of Tucson, Tucson Masonic Lodge #4 F&AM, York Rite of Chandler and Scottish Rite of Tucson. NUSZKIEWICZ, CMSgt. USAF Ret. Raymond M., 71, of Tucson. Died February 24, 1996. Ray served 27 years in the US Air Force and since 1970 with the US Postal Service, currently is a letter carrier from the Midtown Station. Survived by wife, Joan; sons, Raymond Nuszkiewicz, Jr., and David Orley Nuszkiewicz; daughters, Colleen Nuszkiewicz, and Angie Simpson; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Ted Nuszkiewicz. Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.
