HEBB, David E., 52, born July 18, 1943 in Worcester, MA, died February 17, 1996 in Tucson. Survived by wife, Kathleen; brother, Robert of Westfield, MA; nieces and nephews. Friends may call 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 22, 1996 at the EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Burial to follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in David’s memory, be sent to TMC Foundation/Hospice, 5301 E. Grant Rd. Tucson 85712.

KORTZ, Raymond L., 74, of Tucson, died February 18, 1996. Survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Rita (Gary) Herk; sons, Ron, Randy and Rick Kortz; grandchildren, Amy, Andia, Andrew, Christine, Bethany and Brittany; brothers, Herbert and Herman Kortz; sister, Esther Loch; and step-children, Donna Bogush and Jimmy Phagan. Memorial Services will be Sunday, February 25, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. at Desert Skies United Methodist Church, 3225 N. Houghton Road with Dr. Peter Vaught officiating. Mr. Kortz belonged to the Moose Lodge #747, VFW #549, DAV #18, Odd Fellows #114, and the American Legion, Eden Valley Post #0381 in Minnesota. LADWIG, D. E., 49, of Oklahoma City, OK, a video game business manager, died of a heart attack February 11, 1996. Del was born in Burlington, WI. Survivors include his parents, Delbert and Lois Ladwig of Tucson; brothers, Bruce (Lynne) and William of Plano, TX; sisters, Suzanne (Bill) Stock of Tucson; nephews, Alan (Jennifer) and Casey Stock and Michael Ladwig; niece, Katherine Ladwig; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Service by Pastor Eldon Weisheit will be held at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, 710 S. Kolb Rd., Saturday, February 24, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Memorial Fund in his name to the Church.

MANGEN, Florence B., 93, of Tucson, died February 19, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry. She is survived by children, Florence (Harry) Rice of Tucson, Claire (Bob) Phillips of Laguna Nagel, CA, Mary (Lee) Paxson of Park Forrest, IL, Henry (Polly) Mangen of White Lake, MI, Rita (Joseph) Murphy of Oak Lawn, IL, Richard (Lydia) Mangen of Tucson; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Virginia Wolf, Dorothy Weitzel and Lucille Moore. MOSCHONAS, Konstantine, 91, of Tucson, died February 20, 1996. He is survived by his wife, Vavilonia; children, Gerry (Harriet) Moschonas of Vancouver, BC, Father Anthony (Maria) Moschonas, Priest of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church of Tucson, Peter (Voula) Moschonas of Vancouver, BC; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with Trisaigon Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be Thursday 10:00 a.m. all at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Demetrios Philanthropy Fund. Directed by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd., 327-6341.

WALDEN, Dorothy Dayton, 83, of Phoenix from 1942-1943, Tucson from 1943-1967 and Green Valley since 1967, died February 17, 1996. Survived by spouse, Keith Walden; son, Jonathan (Jean) Beck of Tucson; brother, Draper Dayton of PA; four grandchildren; one great grandchild. Preceded in death by son, David (Andrea) Beck. Mrs. Walden belonged to Casa De Esperanza and, St. Francis in the Valley Episcopal Church. She was an avid and excellent bridge player in Green Valley. Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. February 23, 1996 at St. Francis in the Valley Episcopal Church with Rev. Ted Holt officiating. Remembrances may be made to St. Francis in the Valley Episcopal Church, 600 S. La Canada, Green Valley, AZ 85614 or Cas De Esperanza, P.O. box 984, Green Valley, AZ 85622. Funeral arrangements were handed by Green Valley Mortuary and Memorial Gardens.

WEBBER, Andy, Jr., passed away February 12, 1996. The family would like to thank Dr. Carmichael and staff, Carondelet Hospice, The Tucson Aids Project and all of our wonderful friends for the love, support and compassion offered during the illness and loss of our loved one, Andy.

BERLOWE, Herman R., 80, of Tucson, died February 20, 1996. Survived by Sue Berlowe; sons, Perry I. (Bonnie) Berlowe of Tucson, Burt F. (Mary) Berlowe of Minneapolis, MN; daughter, Sallie (Alan) Shapiro of Tucson; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Sol (Jennie) Berlovitz of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Anne Gurvitz of Tucson. Mr. Berlowe graduated from University of Minnesota with a degree in Journalism. He was a 35 year employee with the Postal Service and was active with Democrats of Tucson. Graveside Services Thursday 11:00 a.m. Congregation Anshei Israel Section of Evergreen Cemetery with Robert Westle Congregation Anshei Israel officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Congregation Anshei Israel, 5550 E. 5th St., 85711 or Casa de los Ninos, 1101 N. 4th Ave., 85705. COX, Kenneth Francis, born January 23, 1906, died Sunday, February 18, 1996 in Tucson. Preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice. Survived by sister, Charlotte Gordon of Independence, KS; daughter, Mary (Ralph) Bender of Laramie, WY; son, Stephen (Barbara) Cox of Tucson; grandchildren, Jay (Lynne) Newlon of Nashua, NH, Katherine (Chris) Briante of New York, NY, Sarah (Mark) Staats of Blacksburg, VA, Rachel Bender of Ames, IA, James and Joseph Cox of Tucson; three great-grandchildren, Alex and Max Newlon and Bennett Briante. Mr. Cox was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Graham, TX and attended St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church in Tucson. Mr. Cox worked until his retirement for the Texas Pipe Line Company. He was a Mason, a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and a former member of the Rotary Club of Graham, TX. Funeral Services 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 24 in Graham, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church in Tucson 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 27. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy. Arrangements by BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

DAVIES, Bradley W., 93, of Tucson, and formerly of Chicago, passed away February 18, 1996. Survived by nieces, Margaret McKeon of Tucson, Elizabeth (Edward) Martin of CA, Judith (Richard) Leaman of NC and Janice Boehle of MO; also a nephew, Robert (Donna) Davies of Phoenix. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 1996 at Grace St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 2331 E. Adams St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carondelet Hospice. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the caregivers that took such loving care of Mr. Davies. Arrangements by ARIZONA MORTUARY.

FLEMING, Derek A. “D-ROC’, 18, a resident of Tucson, passed away February 19, 1996. Survived by parents, Allen Fleming and Pamela Fleming; sister, Charlene Fleming, all of Tucson; maternal grandmother, Olla Strange of Tucson; maternal grandfather, Harold Strange of OH; paternal great-grandmother, Bea Turnbough of IL; and a host of relatives and friends also survive. Derek was an outstanding Senior at Sabino High School, where he was co-captain of the football team and captain of the track team. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23 at 22nd Street Baptist Church with Pastor David Houchin officiating. Interment South Lawn Cemetery. GALLOP, Mary L., 79, of Tucson, began her journey in 1916 and ended her journey Tuesday, February 20, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Gallop. Mary is survived by her brother, Buchannon (Irene) Crouch of Tucson; sisters, Wanda (Cecil) Turley of CA and Barbara Andree of Tucson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services, Friday, February 23, 1996 at 1:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave., with Reverend James Howard officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service, Burial to follow in South Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

GELLER, Milton, 72, died February 21, 1996 after a long illness. Survivors include his wife, Eleanore; children, Michelle Barg of Milford, NH, Larry Geller of San Celmente, CA, Tony Pursley of Bradenton, FL, Ted Pursley of Williamsburg, IN, Greg Pursley of Tucson and Regg Pursley of Tucson; sister, Helen Himes of Barnegat, NJ, Belle Miller of Stamford, CT; granddaughters, Beth Geller and Kari Geller. He was known by all for his never ending ability to share jokes and spin yarns. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, February 23 at 3:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery with Rabbi Joseph Weizenbaum officiating. HARTFIELD, George, 75, born in Chicago, IL, passed away February 16, 1996. Survived by wife, Bette; children, Michael, Donna (Juan) Cervantez, Mark (April); grandchildren, David, Michele, Eric, Philip, Kyle and Kevin; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorrine Sazma and Margaret Sazma. Mr. Hartfield was a WWII veteran and was stationed at DMAFB and a retiree of General Motors. Memorial Service Friday, February 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Methodist Church, La Canada and Magee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Garden at the church.

MCCARTHY, Daniel Sean, 34, of Tucson, AZ died peacefully Sunday, February 18, 1996. Remembered as a loving son and brother, a loyal friend and a gifted teacher. Dan earned his Bachelors degree at University of Arizona and was close to completing his Masters degree at the time of his death. Dan taught at University High School and mentored the team for the Academic Decathalon. Dan gave generously of himself to everyone, especially his students. Preceded in death by his father Mickey McCarthy. He is survived by his mother, Gloria; and siblings, Guy, Greg, Kathleen, Barbara and Gary; and his nieces and nephews, Brandon, Jared, Christopher, Bethany, Cathy, Amber, Brittany and Gary. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 24, 1996 9:30 a.m. at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church, 4725 E. Pima. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made to the Daniel McCarthy Memorial Research Fund, c/o Betty Marcoux, Rincon University High School, 421 N. Arcadia, Tucson, AZ 85711.

SAKRISON, Mari T., 92, of Tucson, died February 20, 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and son David. She is survived by her son, Jim Sakrison (Dee Ann) of Tucson; daughter-in-law, Connie Sakrison of Oakland, CA; and grandchildren, Kara Upton, Kirsten Hill, John Sakrison, Holly Sakrison and Jim Sakrison, Jr.; and three great-grandchildren. TAYLOR, John Nelson, 77, born May 22, 1968 in Seattle, WA died February 19, 1996 in Tucson, AZ. John is survived by his parents, John K. and Suzanne M. Taylor. John graduated from Inglemoor High School in June 1986 in Bothell, WA. He became a resident of Tucson in February 1992 and was tragically injured in a pedestrian accident in August 1993. He had resided at Posada del Sol Health Care Center in Tucson since his accident. An appreciation wake will be held at Posada del Sol Health Care Center Saturday, February 24, 1996 at 10:30 a.m. John will be interred at Acacia Memorial Park in Seattle, WA. Arrangements by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway, 881-0338.

TOOLAN, (nee Mulvihill), Catherine, 94, died February 20, 1996. Born in County Kerry, Ireland. Survived by daughters, Mary Kay Frugoli and Joanna Toolan; and son, John Toolan; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister. Friends may call Thursday, February 22, 1996 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Villa Maria Chapel, 4301 E.
