CARPENTER, Angela Mary Fraser, formerly of Huntington Valley, PA, died peacefully following a brief illness in Tucson, Arizona on January 26, 1997. Born in Farnsborough, England in 1910, widow of the late Philip S.P. Carpenter of Pennsylvania. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter, Diana of Tucson; her sister, Diana Schott of London, England and her four grandchildren, Justin, Gillian, Carolyn and Malcolm Smith. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 29 at 4:00 p.m. at Sunrise Chapel, Wrightstown Road, Tucson. Everyone is welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of her memory, may be made to the Integra Hospice and K.U.A.T. of Tucson, Arizona.

FARRIS, Donald R., Age 59, of Tucson, died January 26, 1997 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Survived by wife, Susan; son, Jeffrey (Alice) Farris; daughters, Tina (Matthew) Jameson, Cynthia Farris, Jacquelin (Jason) Wandersee; ten grandchildren; brother, Ernest Farris; sister, Shirley Burlingame.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Full honor military graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

FEULNER, George Joseph Sr., 86, died Saturday, January 25, 1997. Born June 20, 1910 in New York, NY to George J. and Jennie (Lenihan) Feulner. He was a resident of Tucson, AZ for the last 16 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star for combat in the European Theater. In 1974 he retired from the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service after 25 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife, Wilma (Crawford); brothers, Harold and Robert and granddaughter, Shannon Magee. Survived by daughters, Andrea Magee, Jean Gauley (Richard), Cathie Farrar (Davis); sons, Michael and George (Lynn); 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, John and Warren and sister, Grace Mullaney. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Wednesday, January 29, 1997 at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to a charity of choice.

GRANADOS, Antonio, passed away January 21, 1997 at the age of 69 of a heart failure. He was born in Monterrey, MX on January 13, 1927. He is survived by his wife, Maria Granados; daughter, Ofelia G. Scott (Gregory), Juan Antonio Granados, Oscar Granados (Sonia), Alfredo Granados; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers and three sisters. Memorial Services have been held.

HERRERAS, Josefina Y., 90, of Tucson, passed away January 25, 1997. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andres D. Herreras, also son-in-law, Jesus Luera.Survived by daughter, Frances Luera; sons, Andy (Elvira) Herreras Jr., Henry (Jessie) Herreras; sisters, Rafaela Bracamonte, Maria Soto. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 1997 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Thursday, January 30, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Church, 602 W. Ajo Way. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. HOOVER, Patricia Maria Lambert, formerly of New Lenox, IL, passed away January 25, 1997 in Tucson, Arizona after a prolonged illness. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. and survived by her beloved companion, Donald W. Mattausch of Tucson. Born in Chicago, Illinois, March 30, 1930, she was the third child in a family of six, to Leopold S. Lambert and Aldia Cora La Rue, both of who are buried in Tucson. Brother, Leopold and sister, Audrey preceded her in death and she is survived by her sister, Lila Hull of N. Fort Myers, FL and Maureen Folk of Tucson, Arizona, as is brother Duane. Patricia is survived by all her children, Muriel Jean (Stanley) Wallace and Deborah Ann (Jud) Whitnell, both of Tucson, Arizona, Harold Robert Jr. of Frankfort, IL and Mark (Carolyn) Edward of Mokena, IL; grandchildren, Angela (Samuel) Lesniewicz of Aurora, IL, Larry Earl (Wendy) Samuel, Jr., USAF of Belleville, IL and Nicole Vlcek of Round Lake Park, IL. Also four step-grandchildren, Lorene, Ricky, Polly and Brenda Wallace, all of Tucson. Also great-grandchildren, Alyssa Rose Lesniewicz, Sara Sellers and Ernest C. Stinchcomb, Jr. Patricia followed the entrepreneurial steps of her parents. While raising her family, she also worked as an Avon representative in New Lenox. She and Harold owned and operated, 'Pat’s Dari Delite' in Mokena for several years. Funeral Mass Thursday, January 30, 1997 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with burial to follow in Holy Hope Cemetery. NOTARO, Peter Joseph 'Pete' 81, died January 26, 1997. Survived by his wife, Marie 'Rusty' Notaro; daughter, Wanda Bentley; his pride and joy, Joya Bear. Pete started his own trucking business at the age of 14, in the state of NY. Moved to Tucson in 1968. GARSTKA, William Stanley, born January 18, 1910 in Chicopee, Mass, died Friday, January 24, 1997. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanne. He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Mitchell Garstka; children, Roberta and William; sisters, Sophie Garstka, Mrs. Peter Nowosadko, Mrs. Lena Miller; brother, Marion Garstka; four stepsons; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. McINROY, Hugh Edward, 79, of Tucson, died Friday, January 24, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Bernice; children, Gray McInroy, Marty Whiting, Miles McInroy, Stephanie McInroy; grandchildren, Lisa Miller, Cheri Whiting, Lindsey Hoshaw, Geoffrey Hoshaw, Kelly McInroy, Ryan McInroy; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Miller, Andrew Miller, Noah Miller; and sister, Marion Jacobsen. ADAMS, Rosemary Turner, July 7, 1930 – January 24, 1997. Survived by sons, Dannie (Brenda) Adams and Jeffrey Adams; daughter, Shelley (Ian) McCloskey; grandsons, Alexander McCloskey and Levi Adams; cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Preceded in death by sister, Shelley; father, Lewis and mother, Liz. Rosemary was aloving mother and grandmother. She was a highly respected administrative assistant to Dr. Langen at the U of A. She suffered in illness for most of her life, but always had strength and love for those who knew her. Special thanks to N.A. Nancy. BLENDE, Bernice (Schellenberg), died January 22, 1997. She was born and raised in Lincoln, achieving a B.A. in Music Education from the University of Nebraska. She owned and managed Lincoln Glass and Paint Company for many years. In 1957, a move was made to Santa Barbara, CA where the 'Blende Blenders' Mission Music Company began. She played and taught piano, organ and marimba, forming marimba bands who’s performances were enjoyed throughout the Santa Barbara area. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. A move to Tucson was made in 1990 where she became a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. She played handbells in Jong Sory and added her support to many projects. Competitive ballroom dancing, under the instruction of Greg More, was especially important the her. Bernice was preceded in death by Elmer A. Blende to whom she was married for over 50 years. She is survived by daughter, Laurie (Norm) Snodgrass and Lucy (Glen) Sexton; grandchildren, Cullen of Grand Canyon, David, Andrew, Michael and Paul Snodgrass of Tucson, Kristen (Dr. Matthew) Heeren, Thomas and Jeffrey Muir and Shaun Sexton of CA. She enjoyed eight great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 9252 E. 22nd, Wednesday, January 29, 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immanuel’s Organ Fund.Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

BOTHOF, Cornelius James 'Dutch' born July 14, 1937, passed away January 22, 1997. Cornelius is survived by his beloved wife, Lucille of 36 years; his brothers, John, Anthony, Jerry, Gerrit and Wilbur; his sisters, Gerda, Betty and Alice; his mother, Alida; his children, Cornelius James II, Susan, John (Rachel), David, Doug (Marisa) and Dan; and his grandchildren, Ryan and Hunter. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26 at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 27th at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone. BRUNSON, Donnie Lee, 42, a lifetime resident of Tucson, passed away January 22, 1997. Born September 4, 1954 in Tucson. Survived by his father, Melvin Brunson; brother, Lonnie Brunson I; nephew, Lonnie Brunson II; sister-in-law, Yvette Brunson; step-nieces, Sarah, Andrea, Amanda and Celeste; aunt, Clytee Baker; uncle, Walter Ryan; many other uncles, aunts and cousins who live out of state and cousins in Arizona. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 1997 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
