BRICKELL, Richard Lee, age 65, of Tucson, died January 26, 1998. He was born November 16, 1932 and was a native Tucsonian. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Frances; one daughter, Brenda Drake; aunt, Virginia Abercrombie; cousins, Charles and Kevin Abercrombie; three grandchildren, Lindsay, Casey and Robert of Phoenix. His second family, Roz and Duke Montgomery, Erin Montgomery, Shannon and Sean Bothwell, Mary and Wayne Smith. Richard was an avid bridge player and loved the mountains, outdoors and sports. He was a member of the Adobe and Ace of Clubs, Exchange Club of Tucson, Saguaro Golf Club, he attended the U of A, and was a Sargent in the USAF (MEDIC). He was the owner of Dick Brickell's Furniture before he retired. He will be deeply missed by all his loving family and friends. Friends may call at ADAIR DODGE FUNERAL HOME, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), on Thursday, January 29 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be at ADAIR DODGE, on Friday, January 30 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

BROOKMAN, Josephine Holt, 78, of Tucson died January 25, 1998. She is survived by her son, James R. Holt; daughter, Diane F. Villegas both of Tucson; grandchildren, Tracy Villegas, Christopher and Ryan Holt; sisters, Alva Stiefel of Fullerton, CA, Wilma Anderson of Houston, MO and Norma Simmons of Concha, AZ; great aunt, Adele Cheatham of Laveen, AZ. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at HEATHER MORTUARY, 1040 N. Columbus Blvd.

William J. Civale Jr., 49, died Monday, January 26, 1998 in Tucson. Survived by wife, Karen Civale of Tucson; two sons, Jeff S. Civale andWilliam J. Civale Jr. both of Tucson; one daughter, Cynthia J. (Moses) Sanchez of Tucson; three brothers, Johnny Civale of CO, Jeff P. Civale of Tucson and David Wimler; three sisters, Gayle Civale, Ann Lee both of Tucson, and Carol Wimler; one grandson, Miguel A. Sanchez. Mr. Civale was a member of the Masonic Adobe Lodge 41. Funeral Services for Mr. Civale will be Friday, January 30, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, with Father Knapp officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to Service time. JACKSON, Earl Everett, born August 16, 1909, in Medicine Lodge, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 1998. Survived by his wife, Helen; sons, Paul E. (Joyce) Jackson of Tucson, William E. (Angela) Jackson of Sierra Vista; daughters, Carole J. (Richard) Eversman of Northwood, OH, Earlene L. Baker of Toledo, OH and step-daughter, Dolores (David) Gierke of Millbury, OH; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Earl resided in Arizona for almost 34 years, having moved here from Toledo, OH and was the Building Superintendent for TNI until retiring in 1982. LARTER, Kenneth Farrell, 57, of Tucson, died Monday, January 26, 1998. Kenneth was a surveyor in copper mining. He is survived by wife, Rosa Lea; sons, Michael (Theresa) and Jason (Cathy); grandchildren, Eric, Katie, Allison, Lindsey, Jarrod, Vanessa and Kevin. MALONEY, Patrick E., 78, passed away January 24, 1998. He was born in Hope, KS on October 8, 1919. He honorably served his country retiring from the Army (Maj) at Ft. Huachuca and settled in Tucson in 1959. He received his bachelors and masters degrees from The University of Arizona, later retiring from the Civil Service. He was a member of the Masons, VFW, and The Elks. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marjorie; children, Carolyn Hooten (Clyde), Thomas (Cheryl), Michael (Janet) and Randy Maloney; grandchildren, Doug, Julie, Lauri, Christine, Tim, David and Matthew. He is also survived by many other caring relatives. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. MOORE, Jimmie C., 68, died January 23, 1998. Father of Sherri (Paul) Schabot of Hurley, NY; grandfather of Courtney M. Clark and Ryan H. Clark both of Hurley, NY; cousin of Aileen Wilkerson of Tyler, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Moore and brother Bobby Joe Moore. He was born March 21, 1929 in Tyler, TX, a graduate of Tyler High School. Member of Calvary Baptist Church, Tyler, TX., a U.S. Navy Veteran; formerly employed by Burke, Walker, Tibbet Funeral Home, Tyler, TX; Member of St. John's Lodge #53 AF & AM, Tyler, TX; member of IBM Tucson Quarter Century Club; Retired from IBM after 28 1/2 years as a Development Engineer and Manager. SWISHER, Dorothy Margaret Thurmond, born in Auxvasse, MO, April 7, 1913. Died in Tucson, AZ, January 25, 1998. Preceded in death by Roy W. Swisher, husband of 55 years. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Karen (Gerald 'Doc') Trivitt of Carson City, NV, Margaret (Paul) Larmour of Tucson and Royce Ann (J. William 'Bill') Myrick of Bonita, CA. Adored grandmother of Karen Larmour of Prescott, Heather Larmour-Spencer of Appleton, WI, Paul Larmour Jr. of Tucson, Rhonda Gallinger and Doreen Landes of Carson City. Great-grandmother of six. Survived by sister, Anna R. Blalock.Dorothy and Roy lived in Coolidge, Az from '46 to '84 when they retired to Tucson to be near children and grandchildren. Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper and accountant for H & H Hardware, Coolidge for 25 years. She was an active member of Coolidge Community Presbyterian Church, Monday Nighters, PEO, Chapter S, Coolidge and Chapter AE, Tucson, Christ Presbyterian Church, Tucson, and Cactus Cruisers. Arthur Lloyd Addleman, 36, died January 25, 1998. Husband of Miriam R. Addleman of Tucson; father of Sarah C. and Charity R. Addleman; son of Jean Addleman of Tucson; brother of Diane (Ken) Corbet and Alan (Angela) Addleman, both of Tucson; nieces, Savannah and Sydney; and nephew, Azlan also survive. Arthur received his complete healing from leukemia and went to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed by all, but especially by his beautiful wife and twin daughters, his main reason for staying on this earth as long as he did. Maranatha Lord Jesus! AGUILAR, Josefa L., 80, a 40 year resident of Tucson, passed away January 25, 1998. Born March 31, 1918 in Bavispe, Sonora, Mexico. Survived by her husband, Jesus; daughter, Maria A. Amado; son, Frank L. (Norma) Aguilar; daughter, Gloria A. (Frank) Ramirez; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 1998 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 2915 E. 36th St. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. 'You will be greatly missed and loved forever.'

BERGMAN, William Andrew, was born July 6, 1903 in Trondheim, Norway and immigrated to New York at the age of nine. In 1930 he met and married Lucy Scranton in Tucson, where they lived for the next 46 years until her death of cancer in 1976. In 1979, Mr. Bergman married Grace Stratton who passed away in 1994. After 37 years of employment with the Southern Pacific Railroad, Mr. Bergman retired as Foreman of the Diesel Repair Division. 'Bill' as his friends called him, was greatly loved and respected by everyone who ever knew him because of his extraordinary kindness and generosity. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 24, 1998 at the age of 94 at his granddaughter's home. He is survived by grandchildren, Patricia Dent, Dianne Faulstich, Everett Murphy, and Dennis Kohl; step-children, Gilbert Palmer, Carol Palmer and Ruby Stratton. Service will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Noel Evangelical Methodist Church, 166 E. Roger Rd., with Rev. Dr. Gunnar A. Gundersen officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile.

BERGSTRESER, Nedra Louise, 81, died January 26, 1998. Mother of Wayne J. Meisenholder of St. Louis, MO, Allan Meisenholder of Lennox, SD and Bruce Bergstreser of Tucson; sister of James E. Curtis of Lennox, SD; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by son, Ross Lee Bergstreser. DUNIGAN, Thomas E., 82, of Tucson, died January 24, 1998. Survivors include his loving wife of 19 years, Ruby; children, Michael (James) Johnson of CA, Sharyn Smith and Diane O'Donegan, both of Tucson, Linda McKay of WA, Harold (Rosalie) Anderson of OR, Laura Anderson of WI; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. After serving in the US Navy for four years, Thomas became a research chemist for the US Army for over 20 years. He was a long time member of the American Legion as well as VFW #549 and DAV #18. Stella Gawron, 89, born July 29, 1908 in Poland, died January 24, 1998 in Tucson. Loving mother of Virginia Pawenski of Tucson and Lillian Eaton of GA; grandmother of Kenneth Pawenski of MI, Debra Wilcox of Tucson, Gary Pawenski of MI, Jeff Eaton of GA; five great-grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, Natasha, Sean and Jillian. HENDRICKS, Bill, passed away Monday, January 26, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Linda of Tucson; two sons, Craig Hendricks (Dawn) of West Valley, UT and James Hendricks (Linda) of Tucson; one daughter, Kristi Hamblen (Robert) of Tucson; his father, Donald Hendricks (Midge) of Iowa; one sister, Mary Pauline Goehring of MO; four grandchildren, Daniel Hendricks, Scott, Leann and Jeffrey Hamblen. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one child, Patrick who passed away in 1960; his mother, Elizabeth who died in 1960; and one brother, Ted who died in 1962. Mr. Hendricks was a loving and caring father, brother, grandfather and uncle, and his caring extended to reach many lives through his teaching career. His teaching career included 29 years with the Sunnyside School District and many years spent teaching at Pima College. Mr. Hendricks was also a member of V.F.W. Post number 10015 of Tucson. Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 1998, at the Catalina United Methodist Church, 2700 E. Speedway Blvd., with Rev. Peggy Ward officiating. The family suggests that those who desire may make donations to the American Cancer Society, Southwest Division, 1636 N. Swan Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712. John 'Red' Hibbert, 73, died January 22, 1998. Survived by his wife, Judy; and many loving family members. Hughes Aircraft employee, owner of 'The Mint Cocktails', member of B.P.O.E. #385. Private family services were held. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd.

HURFORD, Robert Oscar, 80, of Tucson died on January 23, 1998. He was born in Hammondsport, N.Y. on May 27, 1918. He is survived by his wife, Camilla and two cousins Maxine McGarrity of Nehalem, Oregon and Georgia Cormin of Longview, Washington. He was a member of the Sabbar Shrine, Tucson and active in Toastmasters Clubs in Tucson. He was a graduate of the University of Idaho and retired as a Major from the U.S. Air Force. Memorial Services will be held at 2 pm Friday, January 30, 1998 at Davis-Monthan Chapel #1. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Hudgel Swan Funeral Home.
