TUCKWILLER, Pamela Kaye, born March 24, 1958 at Tooele, Utah, died September 25, 1999. Wife of Kevin Tuckwiller of Tucson; mother of Phillip, Mark, and Jessica; daughter of Wayne Haddock of Paris, ID; and Rita Hauth of Mesa, AZ; sister of Patricia Minckley of Tempe, AZ and Michael Haddock of Tucson. Pamela was a graduate of Santa Rita High School, also attending Pima Medical Institute and NAU. She was employed by Vail School District. Funeral Service 12:00 noon, Tuesday, September 28, 1999 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Interment in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to service time Tuesday, September 28 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL. Donations in Pamela's name may be made to American Cancer Society, 1636 N. Swan, Tucson, Arizona 85712; or to Carondelet Hospice, 1802 W. St. Mary's Rd., Tucson, Arizona 85745.

VELASCO, Grace M., born September 8, 1912, in Tucson, passed away on September 24, 1999. She will be missed by son, Eugene (Alice) Velasco of Tucson; daughter, Velma Angiulo of Tucson; sister, Carmen (Manuel) Cajero of Phoenix; seven grandchildren, Susan (Eric) Thing, Cynthia (Dave) Hampton, Gilbert (Heidi) Velasco, Sheryl (David) Dettloff, Jeanette (Richard) Gerardo, John (Patty) Angiulo, Trish Angiulo and adopted granddaughter, Jane Hutchins; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive. Mom, Grandma, we will miss you dearly, especially how you made us laugh. Grace was a native Tucsonan and was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Velasco Sr. Scripture service 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, 1999 at BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Mass will be offered 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 29, 1999 at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S. Stone. Burial at Holy Hope cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28 at BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

WINDHORST, Mary Helen, 80, longtime Tucson resident, passed away September 24, 1999. She was a Life Master very active in the bridge community who was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed. Survived by John B. Windhorst; two sons, John Johnson and Larry Johnson; one daughter, Darlene Hanna; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; brother, Jack McCool. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Philip's In the Hills, corner River and Campbell at 1:15 p.m., Tuesday, September 28. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to UNICEF or your favorite charity.

ARTIAGA, Maria Consuelo 'Chelito' 90, was joyfully embraced by our Lord, Jesus Christ, and entered heaven on September 23, 1999, shortly after 7:00 p.m., while in Hospice at Devon Gables Healthcare. She remained brave and loving to the end. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Manuel and by her beloved son, Alfonso. She was the most beloved mother of Gloria J. Artiaga; grandmother of Renee Ybarra, Scott Leick II and Heather Leick; and great-grandmother of Ryan Matthew Ybarra and Christian Scott Burton. She leaves behind a multitude of loving friends who mourn her passing.
Maria and Manuel were residents of Tucson for over 60 years. She was a devout Catholic and her love and faith of Jesus Christ influenced her life and the lives of all who knew her. She was an extremely talented artist and designer of wedding dresses. Her charity literally saved lives and gave hope to the hopeless that lived in Mexico, her native country. The proudest moment in her life was the day she became an American citizen, in 1963 at the age of 54. She raised her family to love her new adopted country and to be proud to be Americans.
We will all miss this void in our lives, her loving, generous spirit, and the unconditional love she had for her small family. She gave so much and asked so little.
Mother, you were my hero, my inspiration, my teacher, my strength and comfort. My loss is inconsolable. I love you.

BROWNE, Patricia Crossley, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Saturday, September 25, 1999. She is preceded in death by her husband, William of 45 years. Pat is survived by her four sons, David (Elizabeth), Dan, Scott (Liz), Paul (Debi); and her daughter, Tricia (Michael) Miller of Santa Clarita, CA; and her eight grandchildren, Dean, Jennifer, Kaylee, Christopher, Dylan, Sarah, Kendyl and Emily. She is also survived by her three brothers, Jack, Joe and Paul Crossley. Pat was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on January 13, 1928.
Pat and Bill Browne moved to Tucson in 1956 from Flint, Michigan. She worked for Tucson Unified School District at Wrightstown, Collier and Henry Elementary Schools. She also worked at Dillards in Flagstaff and for Estee Lauder. Pat was a creative member of the Tucson Assistance League. Her grace, strength and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She was a loving mother and adventurous grandmother. The family would like to give special thanks to the Arizona Oncology Associates and the professionals at the TMC Hospice Home Care, and to all of her wonderful friends for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1636 N. Swan Rd., T/A 85712. Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 29, 1999 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

EDWARDS, E. Jayne (Standish), age 79, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 26, 1999. She was a loving mother and found great comfort in her relationship with God. Jayne lived her life with a quiet dignity, always gracious to everyone, and chose to believe the best in all things. She was a gifted artist, homemaker, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband of 10 years, Stone Edwards and is survived by her first husband, Phillip Carter Johnson of Vista, California; son, Doug Johnson of Tucson; daughters, Kathryn (Peter Culver) Johnson of San Francisco, Marsha (Derek) Schull and Lisa (Bill) Francis of Tucson; grandchildren, Valerie and Caitlyn Schull, Laura Johnson, and Erika and Myles Francis, and all her church family at Northwest Community Friends Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jayne Edwards Memorial Fund at Northwest Community Friends Church, 5950 N. La Canada. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 1999 at the church. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel.

FINK, Eulalia Bonnie Belle, 72, died September 25, 1999. Mother of Lisa Wakefield of Arizona, Sandra Freiermuth of KY, Diana Rivard of AZ, Linda Stadtlander of AZ and Lawrence Fink of TX; sister of Violet Smith; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. Donations in Eulalia's memory may be made to the Carondelet Hospice, 1801 W. St. Mary's Rd., T/A 85745. No services are planned. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

HARRINGTON, Edna Screven, 75, long time resident of Arizona, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 27, 1999. She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Allan; son, Allan 'Chip' Harrington (Sandi) of Tucson, Tom (Kathy) Harrington of Tulsa, OK: and daughter, Reid Ijams (Gary) of Tempe, AZ. Edna loved eight grandchildren, Trace, Courtney, Adam, Danny, Stacey Harrington, and Eric and Bryn Ijams. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Arizona, 2819 East Broadway, Tucson, AZ 85716. The family is planning a celebration of her life.

JIMENEZ, Alejandro, born August 21, 1999, went to Heaven September 24, 1999. He is survived by his loving parents, Edgar and Veronica Jimenez; one sister, Avriana; paternal grandparents, Jose and Alicia Jimenez; maternal grandparents, Javier and Sylvia Fimbres; plus numerous loving relatives. Our little angel was brought into this world very early. We had the chance to enjoy him for five weeks. Our son tried his best to stay with us although God had other plans. We will always love you and we will never forget about you. You left us to become an angel and someday we will be together again. Funeral service will be held at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave., Wednesday, September 29, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at South Lawn cemetery.

JONES, Lillian M., born July 23, 1925, passed away after a long illness on September 25, 1999. Gifts and any memorials may be sent in c/o Streams in the Desert Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 30 at Streams in the Desert Lutheran Church.

ROGER KITTERMAN - Roger passed away on September 26, 1999. He was born in Wall, South Dakota on February 18, 1937 to Artie Kitterman and the late Russell Kitterman. He had one younger brother, Allan (Patty). He was a graduate of Amphitheater High School and the University of Arizona. He truly traveled a path of his own, plowing his way through ranching as a child, the U.S. Navy, Vocational Agriculture Teacher, and always stayed involved in research and development in Agriculture. He came across many new ideas, developed them, and as he was known to do, moved onto something else to face yet another challenge. He will be remembered for many things, to many people, but he was always there for his family. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Georgene; and three daughters, Denise (Robert) Moor, Donetta Kitterman, and Dawn (Scott) Henry. To the grandchildren he was known as 'Papa'. Grandchildren, Rachelle, Justin, Jenny, Colten, Sheldon, Brodie, Braelyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Even as he faced the largest challenge of his life (cancer), he still had his sense of humor. He was very unique, and stood for what was right, even if it meant standing alone. He strived to teach his family to be individuals and refrain from being one of the group. He had many sayings, all of them true. One of the most remembered ones by the family 'You are the SUM-total of your experiences'. He told us a couple months ago that he has done nothing more than arrive at the peak of another mountain, this time it happened to be life.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. David, Arizona cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held at the Kitterman family home at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by Richardson's Mortuary, Benson, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to EM Technologies for the Roger Kitterman Memorial Fund.

GEORGE RICHARD McCORD, 47, passed away September 15, 1999 in Poughkeepsie, New York. Born in Poughkeepsie, August 26, 1952. He is survived by his parents, Chester and Harriet McCord and sister, Julie Wynkoop (Stephen) of Tucson and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service was held in Poughkeepsie. Rest in peace, dear son and brother.

TINA MENDEZ, 42, of Sahuarita, passed away September 25, 1999. Survivors include her loving husband of 25 years, Alejandro; children, Jeremiah (Dawn), Anjelica, Xavier; grandchildren, Magdelena and Marcela; brothers, Michael Ryan, Kevin Ryan, Patrick Ryan; sisters, Tamera Ryan, Terri MacDonald; stepfather, John MacDonald, plus many other loving friends and relatives. Tina's beautiful smile was never diminished despite the struggle she fought with cancer over the last four years. She was a loving wife and mother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends may call at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave., Wednesday, September 29 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at San Martin Catholic Church, 15440 S. Santa Rita Rd., Sahuarita, Thursday, September 30 at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at South Lawn cemetery.

MULVANEY, Audrey Iris, passed away Saturday morning at home after an extended illness. Born April 5, 1910 in Columbus, KS, she attended schools in Kansas and Oklahoma and attended Southwestern College in Winfield, KS, later earning advanced degrees from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo.
She came to Tucson in 1947 where she taught at Roskruge Jr. High and Tucson High School, later becoming coordinator of Language Arts in all T.U.S.D. Jr. highs and high schools. She was also active in T.U.S.D. and AZ Teachers Associations. She retired in 1975.
She was an active member of First United Methodist Church at Park and 4th St. where memorial services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. followed by a reception and brief graveside service at East Lawn Palms cemetery.

NORVELLE, Frances, 77 years old, passed away Friday evening at Devon Gables Health Care Center. Born February 5, 1922, died September 24, 1999. She passed away after a long illness. Frances was born in Absorkee, Montana to James and Georgia Goode. She enjoyed a long history of living and raising a family in Tucson including working for the original Sunset Dairy. She belonged to a homemakers club and enjoyed being around people. She was also a proud member of Naval Wives Fleet Reserves. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Kenneth; seven children, Connie, Les, Wes, Linda, Nancy, Flora, and Preston; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Ida Mae and Lora Zoe, plus many loving friends and relatives. A graveside service will be held at South Lawn cemetery, 5401 S. Park Ave., Wednesday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m. The family appreciates any sympathy and in lieu of flowers, request donations to your favorite charity. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

REAVES, Charlotte V., 76, passed away peacefully on September 26, 1999. She joined Jim, her husband of 52 years, who passed away in 1995. Charlotte leaves two children, Lynn Reaves (Betty) and Fred Reaves; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer and Kelsey Reaves, all of Tucson. Services will be held in Humansville, MO. No services will be held in Tucson.

SKUTA, George, 82, of Tucson, loving father and friend to many, died peacefully September 26, 1999. He was born in Williamson, IL, served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and moved to Tucson in 1960 with his family. He was a member of Vista de la Montana United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Louise; sisters, Emma and Anne; and brother, John. He is survived by son, Stan (Linda); two grandsons, David and Kevin; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Vista de la Montana U.M.C., Thursday, September 30, 1999 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of George to the Vista de la Montana Building Fund, 3001 E. Mira Vista Ln., Tucson, 85739. Arrangements by family owned ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee.

SOVA, Betty V., passed on to eternal joy on September 24, 1999. Survived by John, her beloved husband; two nephews and one niece. Betty was a pioneer for M.L.P.F.S. when they just had one office in Arizona. Betty was the Executive Secretary for the firm. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her. Private services will be held. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Southwest Division, 1636 N. Swan #151, Tucson, AZ 85712. Arrangements by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. MARSHALL, Helen L. (Orr), 88, of Tucson, died September 23, 1999. Born August 2, 1911 in Michigan Valley, KS to Hugh R. and Olive May Orr. Survived by husband, Donald; sons, Jack S. (Beverly) Marshall of St. George, UT, Barton T. (Charlotte) Marshall of Tucson; daughter, Janet E. (Robert) Gates of Boulder City, NV; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren. Memorial service Saturday, 10:00 a.m., Casas Adobes Congregational Church, 6801 N. Oracle Rd. Interment will be private in Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & cemetery, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.

MOON, Robert T. MSgt, , USAF, Ret., 53, of Tucson, died Saturday, September 25, 1999. He is survived by his wife, M. Susana Moon; daughters, Vanessa Lewis, Loretta Moon; granddaughters, Alexa Lewis, Sabrina Lewis; father, Joe Moon; and sisters, Diane Batten, Danielle Gordon. After his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Moon owned and operated a variety of Used Car Dealerships in Tucson. Memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 1999 at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd. Inurnment will follow at Our Lady of the Desert cemetery. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY.

PEARCE, Ruth L., 91, of Tucson, died September 28, 1999. Born March 21, 1908 in Tucson. No family survives, but she was cared for by Edward and Connie Frasquillo of Tucson. She was a member of The African Violet Club, O.E.S. Chapter #2, and the Rebecca Lodge. Graveside service Saturday, 10:00 a.m. Evergreen cemetery. Friends may call 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.
