She and her daughter Sylvia became citizens of the US in Hawaii in 1959. Following the birth of her daughter Mary Ann in California and son Boyd in Hawaii, they were transferred to Germany for 4 years. Her last two years were spent at Keystone Cedars and were the happiest and carefree years of her life thanks to their care and attention in making her life very comfortable.

One of her greatest joys in life was the weekly visits from her great grandson Bryce, who taught her how to be a kid again and helped her live her life joyfully, filled with love, laughter, and hugs. She was a great woman, very happy alone but also enjoyed the time she spent with her family. She was very supportive and loving as a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She set a good example of how to be happy alone as well as financially independent, and that we all can change our lives for the better. Her faith in God was very strong as well as her love of music and reading.

We want to give special thanks to Keystone Cedars, Mercy Hospital, and Mercy ICU for their attention, special care, and quick response in her final journey in life, being pain free and comfortable. Her Spirit was strong and will continue to live on. She will be greatly missed.
