Sandra Dennhardt, 56, director of University Management Systems, died May 2 [1999] at Evanston Hospital after a long illness.
A memorial service was held May 5 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Skokie.
Dennhardt joined Northwestern as director of University Management Systems in May 1990. She previously had served five years as director for application development and support for the urban division of the consolidated administrative computing organization at the University of Illinois at Urbana.
She joined the administrative computing department at Illinois in 1966. She joined the university-wide administrative computing office in 1972, and from 1980 to 1985 she was director of the administrative computing office, with staff in Urbana and Chicago.
Dennhardt received a bachelor's degree and a master of business administration degree from the University of Illinois.
She is survived by her parents, Walter and Violet Dennhardt of Skokie, and a brother, Walter Dennhardt Jr. of Stillwater, Minn.
