Rebecca Lee Webster and Jason Gary Parr, both of Great Bend, were united in marriage on Aug. 6, 2005 at First Christian Church in Great Bend. The Rev. Bill Johnson officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Mitch and Jennifer Webster, Jamie and Kevin Miller and Gary Parr and Cindy Brooke, all of Great Bend. Grandparents of the bride are Harold and Virginia Langrehr of Great Bend and Marvin Webster of Larned and the late Elizabeth Webster. The groom’s grandparents are Art and Sue Jaske, Billie Symank and Ila Parr of Great Bend, the late Harlan Parr and Chuck and Jody Miller of Haysville. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white, silk-layered organza ball gown designed by Alice Padrel. The gown featured a chantilly lace bodice with Swarovski crystals in the lace and trimming the waist. A crystal tiara held her cathedral-length veil in place. She carried a bouquet of star-gazer lilies and pink roses with crystals. The bride’s sister, Katie Webster of Great Bend, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kendra Chambers, Dani McCaulley and Lauren Marshall, all of Great Bend. They wore pink satin organza tea-length gowns and carried smaller bouquets similar to the bride’s. Taperlighters were Conner and McKenna Langrehr, cousins of the bride. Flower girl was Erika Parr, niece of the groom. The ring bearer was Brooks Langrehr, cousin of the bride. Music was provided by Jeff and Sherry Langrehr, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Jennifer Girard, twin sister of the groom. Best man was Colton Bartels of Great Bend. Groomsmen were Matt Vainer of Great Bend, Noah Moos of Hays and Zach Andereck of Hoisington. Ushers were Ryan and Aaron Parr, brothers of the groom, Adam Willis of Hoisington and Macy Mitchell of Springfield, Mo. The bride is a 2004 graduate of Great Bend High School. She is a junior pre-med student at Evangel University, majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. The groom is a 2001 graduate of Great Bend High School and is a senior at Evangel University, majoring in physical education and recreation. He is an assistant cross-country and track coach at Evangel University and is employed at the YMCA. The couple will make their home in Springfield, Mo.
