Kristi Marie North of Wichita and Eric Matthew Lawrence of Maricopa, Ariz., were united in marriage on June 18, 2005 at Central Community Church in Wichita. The Rev. Bob Beckler officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Rob and Trisha Dove of Great Bend, Ted and Nancy North of Olathe, and Sheldon and Patti Lawrence of Queen Creek, Ariz. Grandparents of the bride are Clarence Lebbin and the late Lucile Lebbin, Lois Dove and the late DeVere Dove, Jr., Beverly North and the late Hank North, and Letha Meyer and the late Delmond Meyer. The groom’s grandparents are the late Robert and Dorothy Berry and the late John and Greeta Lawrence. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an Oleg Cassini off-white, two-piece, organza A-line gown that featured pastel multi-colored embroidery and crystals on the bodice and train. A pastel multi-colored gold and crystal tiara was placed in her upswept hair, along with a waist-length pearl and crystal adorned veil at the back. She carried a cascade bouquet of white roses, star flowers, white waxflower stems and greenery, accented with her great-great-grandmother’s gold filigree cross necklace intertwined into the flowers. The bride’s older sister, Mindy North of Great Bend was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Chelsea Lohr and Dedria Crain of Wichita, Kelly Hall of Goddard, and younger sister Sarah North of Olathe. They wore peridot, satin, side-rouched ballgowns with a rhinestone brooch at the waist and a matching wrap at their shoulders. They carried smaller nosegay bouquets of pink roses, white roses, blue accent berries, pink and white waxflowers, ivory tulle and greenery. Taperlighters were Rachel, Maddy and Becca Keller, cousins of the bride. Flower girl was Tianni Patterson, and ring bearer was Sebastian Babione, niece and nephew of the groom. Music was provided by vocalists: Mindy North, Todd Braschler, Jacque Rundell and Clint Dunn; organist, Brett Valliant; pianist, Clint Dunn; and violinist, Bill Nolan. Carol Lebbin, aunt and godmother of the bride, read scripture. Best man was Michael Akerson of Ahwatukee, Ariz. Groomsmen were brother and nephew Shawn and Kyle Lawrence of Peoria, Ariz., brother Jason Lawrence of Norfolk, Va., and Steve Matzat of Milipitas, Calif. Ushers were T.J. and Andrew North, brothers of the bride of Olathe and Daniel Henry of Wichita. The bride is a 1995 graduate of Ellinwood High School and a 1999 graduate of Friends University with a bachelor’s degree in English education. The groom is a 1993 graduate of Konawaena High School in Kealakekua, Hawaii and a 1996 graduate of DeVry Technical Institute with an associate’s degree in electrical engineering. The couple have made their home in Maricopa, Ariz.
