Abby Williamson and Brandon Foster were united in marriage on Aug. 28, 2004 in the First Christian Church of Great Bend, with the Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Parents of the couple are Kim Guesnier of Great Bend, Terry Williamson of Hays, and Debbie and Jerry Farmer of Great Bend. Grandparents of the couple are Merlin and Nelva Grimes, Leonard Williamson and Phyllis and Louis Windholtz, all of Great Bend, and the late Wynema Williamson. Ola Wallace of Great Bend is great-grandmother to the bride. The bride wore a white gown by Symphony Bridal. The spaghetti strapped bodice was ornately beaded with rows of pearls, Swarovski crystals, and silver and white bugle beads. The bridesmaids wore an Alfred Angelo gown in platinum. The spaghetti strap bodice had an asymmetrical sweep of fabric that was pleated along the side. The tank style bodice flowed into a fitted waist with a trumpet skirt. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses with silver beads. The maid of honor was Chelsie Kohls of Hays and the best man was Aaron Hollister of Manhattan, brother of the groom. Bridesmaids were Meagan Whisenhunt of Lawrence, Lindsey Dewitt of Manhattan, Brooke Heier of Overland Park and Jill Sherman of Manhattan. The bridesmaids carried white roses tipped in pastel blue. Groomsmen included James Saunders of Manhattan, Jason Keilman of Manhattan, Ricky Guerra of Manhattan and Chad Neptune of Wichita, cousin of the groom. The gentlemen wore three-button tuxedos with a notch lapel by Andrew Fessa. The vests were fullback with a stripe pattern in the colors white, black and periwinkle with coordinating sharpie ties. Taper lighters were Erin VanCamp of Olathe, Emily White of Lawrence, cousin of the bride, and Tia Bodine of Hays. Ushers were Jacob Williamson, brother of the bride; Nick Farmer, brother of the groom; and Charlie Lamb, brother-in-law of the groom, all of Great Bend; Chris French of Manhattan; Josh Pfannenstiel of Hays; Brandon Garrett of Lincoln, Neb.; and Morgan Grippen of St. Francis. Vocalists were Abby Boultinghouse of Manhattan and Matt Thul of Olathe. Nancy Baxter played the piano and Nathan Koch played the flute. The flower girl was Paige Lamb of Great Bend, niece of the groom, and the ring bearer was Connor Kaiser of Mathews, N. C., cousin of the bride. The bride is a 2004 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor of arts degree in dance and theater. She is the coach for the Robert Morris College Dance Team and is an instructor at Storm Dance Alliance. The groom is a 2003 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor of science degree in business marketing. He is employed with CDW Government as an account sales manager. The couple reside in Chicago, Ill.
