Sara Ann Charles of Hoisington and Robert Ryan Niehues III of Seneca were married on Oct. 2, 2004 at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Hoisington. The Rev. Pascal Klein officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Alan and Mary Charles of Hoisington and Robert and Sharon Niehues of Seneca. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a Maggie Sottero gown. The gown, with an A-line skirt, was a two-piece diamond-white gown with a bead- encrusted bodice, which was gathered at the waist and laced up the back. Her head piece was a crown of crystal beads with a shoulder-length veil. She carried a nosegay of white roses and stephanotis with accents of lilac, and was adorned with a sterling silver rosary. Jessica Charles, sister of the bride, of Hoisington, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Liela Luynb, Andrea Lutz, sister of the groom, Carrie Niehues, sister of the groom, and Stephanie Keller, sister of the groom. The bridesmaids wore Victorian lilac two-piece strapless dresses with gathered waist and an A-line skirt. They carried bouquets of white tiger lilies with bells of Ireland and white fessia. Travis Niehues, brother of the groom, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Dustin Niehues, brother of the groom; Jared Niehues, brother of the groom; Heath Lutz, brother-in-law of the groom; and Wes Runnebaum. Groomsmen wore stephanotis accented by lilac and greenery. Johnelle Moshier, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Miles Keller, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer. Ushers were D. J. Bruce, Chad Bucbolz and Jason Keller, brother-in-law of the groom. Candle lighters were Adrienne Collins and Kim Shake. The bride is a graduate of Hoisington High School, Cloud County Community College in Concordia and Emporia State University in Emporia with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is currently working on her master’s in school psychology at Emporia State University. The groom is a graduate of Nemaha Valley High School in Seneca, St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth and Emporia State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is currently a store director for Niemann Foods, Inc./ Save-a Lot in Kansas City, Kan. The couple makes their home in Lenexa.
