Harry E. Richardson Jr.

Harry E. Richardson Jr., 77, Henderson, died at 12:04 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at Redbanks nursing home.

He was a member of First Christian Church, past commander of American Legion Worsham Post No. 40, and a member of the 40 & 8, Carpenter's Local No. 601 in Owensboro, and the Moose Lodge No. 732. He was also a World War II U.S. Army veteran who received three Purple Hearts and three Bronze Stars.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Elizabeth Richardson, who died Dec. 24, 1991; and one son, Harry Eugene Richardson, who died March 11, 1999.

Survivors include three sons, Billy Richardson of Little Dixie, Bobby "Duck" Richardson of Sturgis, and Phillip Richardson of Henderson; one sister, Mary Payne of Colonial Heights, Va.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. Don Nally will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery, with full military rites performed by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Jean VanCleave Williams

Jean VanCleave Williams, 64, Henderson, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Williams, who died in 1967; and one son, Ronald Lee Hepperle, who died in 1983.

Survivors include her companion, Floyd Jenner of Henderson; three sisters, Minnie Margaret Stewart and Regina Adkins, both of Henderson, and Sue Burton of Reed; and two brothers, her twin, Jack VanCleave of Henderson, and Newton VanCleave of Fairmont, Minn.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Henry Meredith will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Leroy "Yogi" Schoenheit

Leroy "Yogi" Schoenheit, 64, Henderson, died of heart failure at 8:11 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local.

Survivors include his companion, Jo Huddleston of Henderson; his mother, Renie Schoenheit of Grayville, Ill.; and two brothers, Larry Schoenheit and Mark Schoenheit, both of Grayville.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Bro. Jerry Pearcy will officiate. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Jane H. Raber

Jane H. Raber, 85, Henderson, died at 3:13 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Temple, where she taught Sunday school. She was a teacher with several local schools, having taught at Audubon and South Heights.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Raber, who died in 1959.

Survivors include two daughters, Janie Raber Jacobs of Henderson and Nancy Raber Maryanski of Tallahassee, Fla.; one sister, Pherne Koch of Santa Claus, Ind.; one brother, Robert Hosmon of Florida; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Rev. R. Joseph Tricquet Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Immanuel Baptist Temple.

Pallbearers will be Brad Jacobs, Dan Jacobs, Scott Grimes, Bill Hosmon, Ernest Koch II, Ernest Koch III, Russ Brown and Hugh Ligon.

John W. "Blue" Arnett

MORGANFIELD -- John W. "Blue" Arnett, 73, died of cancer at 9:27 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at his residence here.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Arnett; three sons, James Lewis Arnett of Henderson, Russell Brown of Indianapolis, Charles Hughes of Washington; one stepdaughter, Virginia Johnson of Morganfield; one foster daughter, Lakeysha Seals of Morganfield; one stepson, Timothy Green of Henderson; four sisters, Mae Helen Madison of Evansville, Ruth Harvey and Kelner Jackson, both of Henderson, and Katherine Smith of Missouri; one brother, Raymond Arnett of Henderson; one step grandson; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Corydon. The Rev. Willie Holmes will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.

David Estes

STURGIS -- David Estes, 47, died of respiratory failure at noon Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Ime Estes; his mother, Louise Bealmer of Sharpe, Ky.; one daughter, Jennie Hedgepath of Sturgis; one sister, Helen Buchanan of Sharpe, Ky.; two brothers, Edward Estes of Gilbertsville, Ky., and Billy D. Estes of Tempe, Ariz.; one grandson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. The Rev. Noble Cobb will officiate. Burial will be in Caseyville Cemetery.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Thomas Hospital's heart transplant department.

Thelma O'Bryan Thomas

UNIONTOWN -- Thelma O'Bryan Thomas, 100, died at 6:03 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, at Morganfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. "Cap" Thomas.

Survivors include two daughters, Celestine Akard of Erlanger, Ky., and Minerva Sarver of Lake Wylie, S.C.; four sons, Jerry Thomas of Crestwood, Ky., Dan Thomas of Pikeville, Ky., J.O. "Connie" Thomas of Uniontown, and Kenneth Thomas of Eddyville; 29 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown. The Revs. John Thomas and Bob Willett will officiate. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery in Morganfield.

Friends may call from 3:30 to 8 p.m. today at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, where prayers will be said at 7 tonight.

Nancy Troutman Heisler

OWENSBORO -- Nancy Troutman Heisler, 63, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at her home here.

She was born in McLean County and was a homemaker. She attended Harmony Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Robert H. Heisler; her mother, Virginia Troutman of McLean County; two daughters, Melinda Burks of Crane, Mo., and Cheryl Calloway of Owensboro; three sons, Michael Heisler of Simi Valley, Calif., Gerald Heisler of Biloxi, Miss., and James Heisler of Henderson; one sister, Marlene Troutman of McLean County; two brothers, James Troutman of Daviess County and Marshal Troutman of McLean County.

There will be no local visitation or service.

James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.
