George Frederick King Jr.
George Frederick King Jr., 38, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Buckingham, died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at the University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, following an extended illness.
Born on January 26, 1963, at Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of George Frederick King of West Virginia and Nebraska Cook King of Cleveland, Ohio. He was disabled and a member of Broadview Baptist Church, Cleveland, Ohio.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 18, at 2 p.m., at the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, with ministers of the Old Regular Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in the Buckingham Cemetery, at Bevinsville.

Juanita Hitchcock
Juanita Hitchcock, 46, of Staffordsville, died Friday, April 13, 2001, at her residence.
Born on January 12, 1955, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of Beulah Fairchild and the late Clate Fairchild.
She is survived by her husband, John Daniel “Dan” Hitchcock Sr.
Other survivors include one son, John Hitchcock of Auxier; three daughters, Nancy Pelphrey of Oil Springs, Sue Williams and Beth Curtsinger, both of Paintsville; two brothers, Gary Fairchild and Larry Fairchild, both of Paintsville; three sisters, June Rowland of Winchester, Judy Sexton and Darlene Hitchcock, both of Paintsville; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 15, at 2 p.m., at the Staffordsville Free Will Baptist Church, with John Michael Blanton officiating.
Burial was in the Staffordsville Church Cemetery, under the direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.

Ishmeal Caudill
Ishmeal Caudill, 68, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Hi Hat, died Friday, April 13, 2001, following an extended illness.
Born on July 8, 1932, at Hi Hat, he was the son of the late Andy Caudill and Lillie Osborne Caudill. He was a retired construction worker.
Survivors include four sons, Gregory Caudill of Gainesville, Florida, Rodney Dale Caudill of Morehead, Timothy Caudill of Cromwell, Indiana, Rany Caudill of Hindman; two daughters, Georgia Lewis and Katherine Miller, both of Prestonsburg; two sisters, Carmel Mitchell of Ligoneer, Indiana, Ethel Gans of Wolde Lake, Indiana; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 17, at 10 a.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, with Arner Whitaker, Don Fraley Jr., and Edgel Osborne officiating.
Burial was in the Newman Cemetery, at Hi Hat.

Jacqueline Martin
Jacqueline Martin, 70, of Drift, died Friday, April 13, 2001, at McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital, following an extended illness.
Born on May 26, 1930, at Allegheny, she was the daughter of the late Paul Akers and Pricie Damron Akers. She was a member of the McDowell First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Martin.
Survivors include three sons, Sherman Martin Jr. of Louisville, John Federick Martin of Drift, Sheridan Martin of Prestonsburg; two daughters, Kathryn Jean Eldridge of Louisa, and Judee Hale of Martin; one brother, Wayne Akers of Printer; one sister, Wanda Isaac of Louisa; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, April 16, at 1 p.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, with Harry Hargus officiating.
Burial was in the Sherman Martin Family Cemetery, at Drift.

Joe Brown
Joe Brown, 76, of Mousie, died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Our Lady of the Way Hospital, in Martin, following an extended illness.
Born on February 28, 1925, at Lackey, he was the son of the late Henry and Margaret Bradley Brown. He was a disabled coal miner, and a member of the Ball Branch Old Regular Baptist Church at Mousie.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucinda Stamper Brown.
Survivors include two sons, Andy Brown of Somerset, Ancil Brown of Mousie; two daughters, Barbara Sue Brown of Mousie, Betty Lou Ramey of Garner; four brothers, Jack Brown of Mousie, Sherman Brown of Frenchburg, James Brown of Saint Marys, Ohio, Libery Brown of Cornwells Heights, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Edna Lemaster of Marion, Ohio, Dorothy Hicks of Mousie, Nervie Cox of Cornwells Heights, Pennsylvania, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, April 16, at 11 a.m., at the Ball Branch Old Regular Baptist Church with ministers of the Old Regular Baptist Church officiating.
Burial was in the Joe Brown Cemetery, at Mousie, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin.

John Bizzack Sr.
John Bizzack Sr., 81, of Lexington, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at the St. Joseph Hospital, in Lexington, following a brief illness.
A native of Fairpoint, Ohio, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Anna Kanjansis Bizzack.
He was retired president of Bizzack Brothers Construction Corp., Biz Wil Inc., Bittersweet Arabians and Bittersweet Station Farm, he was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, a member of the V.F.W. Post 4075, B.P.O.E., The Blue and White Fund UK., UK Fellow, former president of the Kentucky Highway Contractors Association, he received the Construction Management Founders Society UK Lifetime Achievement Award, and was a member of the Highland Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Mae Wilkinson Bizzack.
Other survivors include one son, Dr. John W. Bizzack; two brothers, Lawrence Bizzack and Lewis Bizzack, both of Frankfort; one sister, Ann Stomp of Cleveland, Ohio, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, April 16, at the Harrod Bros. Memorial Chapel, Frankfort, with Rev. Tory Baucum officiating.
Burial was in the family lot in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Woodford County.
Active bearers were Jason Bizzack, Ronnie Collet, Leonard Lawson, Jerry Healy, Stan Bray and Sam McNamara.
Honorary pallbearers were Jack Ruth, James Codell Sr., R.C. Durr, Carroll Robinson, Lee Isaac, Vick Comley, Robert Potter, Gloria Potter, Ray Apple, Gary Bizzack, Tommy Riddell, Scott Spencer, Johnny Callabes, David Wilkinson and Lisa Leslie.

Ollie Wallen
Ollie Wallen, 77, of Bullcreek, Prestonsburg, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, following an extended illness.
Born on October 17, 1923, at Floyd County, he was the son of the late Henry (Buck) Wallen and Johnnie Calhoun Wallen. He was a sales clerk for Farm and Home Store, Prestonsburg, and a member of the Third Avenue Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Emmel Grace Jarrell Wallen.
Survivors also include two sons, Charles Wade Wallen of Bullcreek, Prestonsburg, Mark Henry Wallen of Bullcreek, Prestonsburg; two daughters, Wilma Leslie Star of Bullcreek, Prestonsburg, Thelma Moore of Auxier; two brothers, Les Wallen of Bullcreek, Prestonsburg, John Wallen of Prestonsburg, 5 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 20, at 11 a.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, with Manford Fannin and Russ Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in the Wallen Family Cemetery, Bullcreek, Prestonsburg.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Kevin Bishop, James Meadows, Shannon Wallen, Chad Nicholas Wallen, Joey Lowe and Frank Moore.
Honorary pallbearers were David Slone, Clifford Branham, Delano May, Carl Jarrell, and Don Curtis.

Less Wallen
Less Wallen, age 79, of Water Gap, Ky., passed away Thursday, February 14, 2002, at his residence, after an extended illness.
He was born June 26, 1922, at Water Gap, Ky., a son of the late Henry (Buck) and Johnnie (Calhoun) Wallen. He was a retired carpenter.
He was married to Jennie (Miller) Wallen who survives him.
He is survived by three sons, and one daughter, Mr. Lester Wallen of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Mr. Jesse Wallen, and Mr. Dean Wallen, both of Water Gap, Ky., Mrs. Mornan Sue English of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, Mr. John Wallen of Prestonsburg, Ky.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, February 16, at 1 p.m., at the Burke Funeral Home Chapel, at Prestonsburg, Ky., with Rev. James A. Harmon officiating.
Burial was in the Davidson Memorial Cemetery at Ivel, Ky.
Visitation was at the funeral home.
All arrangements under the direction of Burke Funeral Home, Prestonsburg, Ky.
