Christine Rose Belcher Reynolds
Christine Rose Belcher Reynolds, 77, of Martin, Ky., died Sunday, October 14, 2001, following a brief illness.
Born on December 23, 1923, in Wayland, Ky., she was the daughter of the late James and Rebecca Spradlin Belcher. She was a homemaker and member of Grace Chapel.
Survivors include two sons, Lewis Parker Reynolds Jr. of Martin, Ky. (Chuck); John William Reynolds Sr. of Cave Run Ky. (Willie); two daughters, Sandra Slone of Martin, Ky., Susie Tackett of McDowell, Ky.; one brother, Tommy Belcher of Jackscreek, Ky.; one sister, Helen Marshall of Maytown, Ky., 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John W. Belcher and three sisters, Ruby Childers, Pearl Milburn and Susie King.
Funeral services will be conducted (today) Wednesday, October 17, 2001, at 11 a.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., with Randolph Crisp and Don Crisp officiating.
Burial will be in the Whitt Martin Cemetery, Beaver, Ky., Knott County, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Visitation will be at the funeral home.

Earl Horn
Earl Horn, 68, of Prestonsburg, Ky., died Saturday, October 13, 2001, following a brief illness.
Born on August 27, 1933, in Floyd County, Ky., he was the son of the late Tom Horn and Anna Harmon Horn. He was retired from Mt. Pipe Line.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha Horn of Ind.; two brothers, Merle Horn and Sam Horn, both of Prestonsburg, Ky.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Tom Horn, Otto Horn, Yancy Horn, Beverly Horn and five sisters, Reono Smith, Hope Goble, Minnie Horn, Juanita Horn, and Martha Ann Horn.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 16, 2001, at 1 p.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., with Manford Fannin and Roger Hill officiating.
Burial will be in the West Prestonsburg Cemetery, West Prestonsburg, Ky., under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Visitation was at the funeral home.

Christine Baldridge
Christine Baldridge, 51, of Abbott, Ky., died Monday, October 8, 2001, following a sudden illness.
Born on March 1, 1950, at Allen, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Okie Burkett and Martha McGuire Burkett. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, John Baldridge.
Other survivors include one son, James Okie Clark of Ft. Knox, Ky.; one daughter, Rebecca Wakeland of Banner, Ky.; one brother, Doug Burkett of Prestonsburg, Ky.; three grandchildren, James Randall Wakeland, Santana Marie Wakeland, and Nicholas Patrick Clark.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Burkett and one sister, Geraldine Thompson.
Funeral services were conducted, Thursday, October 11, 2001, at 2 p.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., with Ted Shannon and Buddy Jones officiating.
Burial was in the Baldridge Cemetery, Abbott, Ky., under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Pallbearers were Ricky Wakeland, Arnold Jarrell, Andy Jarrell, Mike Burkett, Charles Elkins and Ernie Wakeland.
Visitation was at the funeral home.

Ashland Scott
Ashland Scott, 83, of Prestonsburg, Ky., died Tuesday, October 9, 2001, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Ky., following an extended illness.
Born on November 5, 1917, at Garrett, Ky., he was the son of the late Phelix Scott and Mallie Combs Scott. He was a disabled coal miner, and an Army veteran of W.W. II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Haney Chaffins Scott.
He is survived by two sons, Danny Scott of Salyersville, Ky., Dwayne Scott of Prestonsburg, Ky.; five daughters, Helen Griffith of Lackey, Ky., Della Thorpe, Connie Slone and Lavonna Meade, all of Prestonsburg, Ky., Delorse Lee of Savannah, Georgia; one brother, Phelix Scott of Maytown, Ky.; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Willis Scott, Jeff Scott, Bud Scott; and two sisters, Bessie Scott Jackson, and Alta Scott Hancock.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 12, 2001, at 11 a.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Burial will be in the Chaffins Cemetery, Rock Fork, Garrett, Ky., under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, after 6 p.m., on Wednesday.

Lucinda (Cindy) Kidd Williams
Lucinda (Cindy) Kidd Williams, 72, of Harold, Ky., died Wednesday, October 10, 2001, following an extended illness.
Born on November 11, 1928, at Little Mudd, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Mac Kidd and Vesta Hughes Barnett. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Williams.
Survivors include six sons, Cheyenne (Jeannie) Williams and Ray (Jennifer) Williams, both of Harold, Ky., Alex (Beverly) Carroll of Stanville, Ky., Evert (Margaret) Carroll of Grethel, Ky., Edgar (Faye) Carroll of New London, Ohio, Adrian Carroll of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Della Mae Hall of Harold, Ky., Mary Francis (Donald) Hamilton of New London, Ohio; four brothers, Mac Kidd of Prestonsburg, Ky., Odis Kidd of Morgan County, Ky., John Kidd of Adrian, Michigan, Audis Kidd of Texas; four sisters, Vannie Damron and Goldie Williams, both of New London, Ohio, Pricey Case of Michigan, Lillian Dean Rudd of Norwalk, Ohio; 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Ellis Carroll and Baby Boy Carroll; one brother, George Rasal Kidd; one sister, Nancy Kidd.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 13, 2001, at 11 a.m., at the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church, Harold, Ky., with ministers of the Old Regular Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Ky., under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Visitation is at the church.

Anna Laura Sargent
Anna Laura Sargent, age 97, of Allen, Ky., wife of the late George Dewey Sargent, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2001, in the Riverview Health Care Center, Prestonsburg, Ky.
She was born April 8, 1904, in Wayne, W. Va., the daughter of the late Forrest R. Stambaugh and Martha Rice Stambaugh. Mrs. Sargent was a member of the Martin Church of Christ, Martin, Ky. She was the oldest member, being baptised on April 17, 1919. She was also a Sunday school teacher, retired business owner, and a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Griebel of Indianapolis, In.; three sisters, Genevieve Kadetz of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Ember and Naomi Lanahan, both of West Palm Beach, Fl.; four grandchildren, Tammy Norton, Linda Fair, Donald Williams and David Williams, all of Indianapolis, In.; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Anna Laura Sargent will be conducted Wednesday, October 10, 2001, at 10:00 a.m., at the Martin Church of Christ, Martin, Ky., with Clergymen Gary Mitchell, Dave Morgan Flanery officiating.
Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Ky., under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Ky.
Visitation is at the church.

John T. Stratton
John T. Stratton, 72, of Tram, Ky., died Thursday, October 4, 2001, following an extended illness.
Born on January 21, 1929, at Stanville, Ky., he was the son of the late Henry Stratton and Ivory Mae King Stratton. He was a disabled coal miner and member of DAV Chapter 128, at Garrett, Ky., a Kentucky Colonel and a Kentucky Admiral.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Garrett Stratton.
Other survivors include five daughters, Gloria Wiley of Jackson, Mi., Audrey Kimbler of Killenn, Tx., Teresa Stephens of Allen, Ky., Connie Stratton of Martin, Ky., Michelle Lynch of Betsy Layne, Ky.; three sisters, Reval Kidd of West Virginia, Ruby Deskins of Ivel, Ky., Jerlean Stratton of Stanville, Ky. and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, John Darrell Stratton and Ricky Dean Stratton; and two daughters, Tamatha Marie Stratton and Debra Lynn Stratton.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, October 8, 2001, at 2 p.m., at the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., with Samuel Stevens and Chuck Ferguson officiating.
Burial was in the Scalf Family Cemetery, Stanville, Ky., under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
Visitation was at the funeral home.
