Sharon Ann Farris

Sharon Ann Farris, age 56, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

She was born on October 23, 1955 in Middlesboro, KY, the daughter of George Russell and Lavada Perry Campbell. She attended Hopewell Baptist Church in Ohio, County.

She is survived by her mother Lavada Campbell of Louisville, one daughter, Susie Embry and her fiancé Ronnie Casey of Caneyville, five brothers, Bob Campbell of IN, Fred Campbell of Germany, Paul Campbell, Bill Campbell and Charles Campbell all of KY, six sisters, Sandra Lindsey and Deborah Daniel both of IN, MeLinda Campbell of AL, Janet Ghareeb of KY, MeDonna Hickman of IN, and MeChelle Summers of KY, and grandchildren, Tori Lindsey and Mikey Tarrence both of Caneyville. Other than her father, she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Farris and her brother George Campbell Jr.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Johnny Daughtery will be officiating. Burial will be in the McCanless Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dermitt Funeral Home for the Sharon Farris Memorial fund.

Norman Jr. Duncan

Norman Jr. Duncan, 58, of Falls of Rough, KY passed away Saturday February 25, 2012 after a lengthy battle with heart disease.

Norman was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church as well as Stephens Breeders Association. Norman was an avid coon hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Ernestine “Tina” Duncan, three daughters, Christina R. Willoughby (Whitney Andrew Willoughby) Tammy L. Mormon (Petty Officer 1st Class Cory A. Mormon) of Oklahoma City, OK, Kennia R. Duncan (fiancée Joey England). six granddaughters, Silver A. Hawkins of Oklahoma, Makia, Rayvan, Ericka and Destiny Duncan and Jesilen Duncan-Willoughby, four grandsons, Brandon and Bradley Hawkins, Jakeb Duncan and Justun Willoughby, two great-grandsons, Eric “Landon” Hawkins Munn and Jamason Joseph Norman Scott, three brothers Darrell, Charles and Bryan Duncan of Winfield, TN, three sisters, Diana Ellis of Huntsville, TN, Rita Mahan of Williamsburg, KY and Melissa Sexton of Oneida, TN and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Norman Eric Duncan, his parents Kenneth Norman and Rosa Lou (Sauls) Duncan and one nephew Christopher King.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Dermitt Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Steve Mahurin will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mahurin Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville after 3:00 pm Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the funeral home for the Norman Jr. Duncan Memorial.

Randall Williams

Randall Williams, 52, of Mount Washington passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 in Louisville, KY.

He was born on March 15, 1959 in Louisville, the son of Woodrow and Lillie Mae Williams. He was his parents caregiver and also a two year army veteran.

He is survived by one sister Norma Jeanne Isaacs (Jerry) of Leitchfield and one brother Fred Roeder (Norma) of Horse Branch. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Dermitt Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Shane Brown will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leach Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville after 3:00pm Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.

Joshua Mudd

Joshua Mudd, 18, of Caneyville passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 due to an automobile accident.

He was born on April 15, 1993 in Leitchfield, the son of Ricky and Sandi Mudd. He was an airbag technician at DSTA.

He is survived by his parents Ricky and Sandi Mudd, one brother, Adam Mudd (Brittany), two sisters, Kandi Mudd Helphenstine (Kenney) all of Caneyville, Tiffany Baxter of Leitchfield, two nieces, five nephews, paternal grandparents Ernest and Linda Mudd of Caneyville, maternal grandmother Freda Morgan Mattingly (William) of Leitchfield, maternal grandfather Roger Deskins (Anita) and maternal great grandmother Olive Deskins both of West Virginia.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Dermitt Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Larry Bolton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Woosely Cemetery at Caney Creek Church.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville after 2:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

Jessie M. Goff

Jessie M. Goff, 82, of Caneyville passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on May 12, 1929 in Butler County, the daughter of the late Ollie and Iva Sermon Goff. She was a farmer. Jessie was a member of Cave Hill Church on Highway 79.

She is survived by her cousins George and Barbara Tomlinson of Horse Branch and Louise and Bill Tice of California. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Joy Goff.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Wavie J. Pierce will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville after 3:00pm Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.

Dwight Wilson

Dwight Wilson, 87, of Caneyville passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at Springview Health and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on December 3, 1924 in Butler County, the son of the late Homer and Mary Frances Embry Wilson. He was a machine operator at Ragland’s Quarry.

He is survived by his wife Thelma Wilson, their three sons Glen Wilson (Patty), Gary Wilson (Marilyn) and Stanley Wilson (Vickie) all of Caneyville, one sister Brenda Snell (Jerry) of Butler County, a sister-in-law Kathleen Wilson of Louisville, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers H.M. and Foster Wilson and his sister Ann Embry.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Gary Beatty will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.
