Carrie Osburn Sellers, 95

Carrie Osburn Sellers was death of her parents, she was lovingly raised by her Uncle Clarence and Aunt Mirtie Turner Osburn. She became a sister to their son, Austin.
Carrie received her early education at Walnut Grove School and attended Ava High School and lived with the Reynolds family. She met and fell in love with Raymond Sellers and they were Cemetery Assoc., the annual school reunion and the annual Haden, Sellers and Kay family reunion. God so blessed her that at the age of 95, she was still living life at 100 miles per hour, living alone, gardening, growing flowers everywhere, playing cards with her much younger friends and playing the piano for her great-great-grandchildren. She was still kicking the soccer ball while wearing her dress and pearls.
Carrie has always been very active in the General Baptist Church and gave her life to Christ at a very early age. She was loved and admired by a multitude of friends. She turned loose of our hand on March 7, 2006 and grasped the hands of God and her husband, Raymond.
Services are Saturday, March 11, at 2 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Revs. Oren Alcorn and Tom Johnson officiating. Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Family requests memorials to the Walnut Grove born Jan. 20, 1945, in Marshall, the daughter of Wilbur and Marie Twitty Scott. She born. They moved to Pleasant Hope in 1976, where in 1986 they opened Buehler's Auto until its closing in 2000.
Pat, as she was known, loved the outdoors and visiting with friends, family and neighbors. She and Charlie spent numerous hours at the shop after closing just to visit with neighbors. She had a great passion for flowers as over the years her yard magnificently showed through the seasons. Pat and Charlie loved to travel, listen to music and camp. One of Pat's most recent passions had become motorcycle riding. Pat truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Rachel and Jake, to them she will always be "Mi Mi."
She was preceded in Cemetery south of Bolivar. Arrangements were under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar.
Chesley Eugene Tennis, 51

Chesley Eugene Tennis, 51, of Protem, born April 19, 1954 in Branson, the son of Leslie E. and Edith (Hunter) Tennis.
Chesley drove a concrete truck. He loved the outdoors and riding his Harley.
Survivors include, father, Leslie Tennis, of Protem; paternal grandmother, Chloe Tennis, of Protem; son, Steven Forrest Tennis, of Kansas; sister, Brenda Lewis, of Sandy, Utah; aunts, uncles and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Chesley was preceded in Cemetery, Selmore, Mo. Visitation will be Thursday, March 16, from 6-8 p.m. at the Forsyth Whelchel Chapel.

Dicey F. Valentine, 94

Dicey F. Valentine, the daughter of James Monroe Spurlock and Priscillia (Parnell) Spurlock, was born.
Dicey attended Ava General Baptist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Ava Chapter #47 and had received her 50-year pin. She enjoyed and loved being with her family.
Dicey was preceded in Interment will follow in the Ava born in Gainesville on June the 29, 1954, one of nine children married Patricia Dianne Lee on June 12, 1976, at the bride's parent's home at Gentryville. They later divorced. Donnie is the father of two children, a son, Levi Evans, and a daughter, Crystal Evans.
When able to work Donnie was an auto mechanic and in later years he loved fishing and hunting especially with hounds, running coyote dogs and beagles, and often entering field trials with both breeds. His favorite things however were playing with his grandchildren and playing and listening to bluegrass music.
Donnie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Levi and Venice Evans, of Gentryville, and his daughter, Crystal Evans, of Bakersfield. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Adline, Whitney, and Hunter Evans, and Bently Adam Moody; five brothers and their wives, David and Delores Evans of Mtn. Grove, Bob and Wanda Evans of Mtn. Home, Ark., Jim and Regina Evans of Ava, Junior Evans of Tecumseh, and Larry and Rhonda Evans of Mtn. Home, Ark.; three sisters and their husbands, Linda and Junior McCrea of Houston, Annie Sloan of Mtn. Grove, and Fern and Francis Robertson of Mtn. Grove; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Donnie was preceded in passed away in the early hours of Monday, May 8, 2006.
Charlotte was death by her father, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 25 years, John Yeoman; her mother, Edythe Applegate of Ozark; two daughters, Sharla Buthod and husband, Jeff, of Jefferson City, and Sonya McDaniel and husband, Justin, of Asher, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Tofuri and husband, Allen, of Springfield; a brother Rev. Jerry Applegate and wife, Jo, of Raytown; three grandchildren, Blake and Tara Buthod and Christian Turk; other relatives and many loving friends.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., and funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today (Thursday) in Seminole Baptist Temple, 4221 South National, Springfield, under the care and direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, with the Revs. Jerry Applegate and Mel Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Following Charlotte's request the casket will remain closed at all times.
