Jason Spanley born July 19, 1972, in Orlando, Fla. Moving to this area two years ago from Tennessee, Jason worked for Wal-Mart in Ava as a cashier.
He is survived by his parents, Denise and Kevin Stage, of Gainesville; grandmother, Louise Loots, of Mtn. Home, Ark.; grandfather Keith Stage, of Gainesville; brothers Bryan Spanley, Nashville, Tenn., and Daniel Stage, Gainesville; and a sister, Amy Stage, of Ava.
A visitation was held Friday afternoon at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, with Jim Rhoads officiating. Cremation followed under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Flora Coffer, 90

Flora Ann Coffer, age 90, of Chadwick, born February 16, 1916 in Douglas County, the daughter of Manuel Pruett and Mary Susan "Sued" (Moore) Pruett. On September 3, 1932 she and Arthur Coffer were united in marriage.
Mrs. Coffer was a homemaker and also worked along side her husband on the farm. She was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church at Highlonesome. She loved babies and enjoyed all of her grandchildren, great-, and great-great-grandchildren.
She spent time quilting and looked forward to her garden every year.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Earl and Pauline Coffer, Ozark, and Dearl and Kathy Coffer, Chadwick; two grandchildren, Mike Coffer and wife Karen, Ozark, and Jennifer Johnson and husband Steve, Oldfield; nine great-grandchildren, Melissa, James, Austin, Quentin, Roselyn, Madelyn, Shannon, Kaitlyn, and Morgan; two great-great-grandchildren, Skye, and Zayne; two sisters, Thelma Goin, Oldfield, and Zelma Morrison, Springfield; as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in Cemetery, Oldfield.
Friends and family gathered at the funeral home on Friday for visitation.
Donnie R. Gideon, 61

Donnie R. Gideon, 61, Sparta, born Sept. 6, 1944, in Sparta the son of Eldo and Ora (McTeer) Gideon. On Nov. 6, 1981, Donnie was united in marriage to Connie Morrison.
Donnie graduated from Sparta High School in 1963 and was employed with Fasco Industries for 28 years. He enjoyed hobbies of collecting old pennies, watching baseball games, fishing and was an avid Cardinals baseball fan. His greatest passion was being a devoted husband, loving father to his girls, and spending time with the family dog “Bo.” Donnie also proudly served his country with the United States Army as a member of the military police.
He was preceded in Cemetery, Sparta.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Fronas Vernita Clem, 85, Springfield, born April 21, 1921, in Ava, the daughter of Jack and Lillie Chamberlain.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 3, at Greenlawn North Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial was in Springfield National death by her husband, William Clem, and a son, Dennis Goforth.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Nyal Goforth and wife, Gracie, Pauline Thompson and husband, Charles, Katherine Arbuckle and husband, Ronnie; a daughter-in-law, Dianna Goforth; a sister, Edith McCleary; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a longtime companion, Gus Compton; as well as a host of other friends and family.

Raymond Hawkins, 67

Raymond Hawkins, 67, of Ozark, born May 18, 1939, in Chadwick, the son of William and Ota (Pruett) Hawkins. In 1960 he and Helen Huff were united in marriage. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Hawkins was a faithful member of Roy Union Church where he served as superintendent. He had retired from Hagale Industries as plant manager, and continued to be a hard worker until the time of his death by his parents; two sisters, Ruth Hursh and husband, Bill, and Madeena Bray and husband, Ed; a brother, Roscoe Hawkins; a brother-in-law, Allen Collins; and a nephew, Eddie Bray.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Brother Jerry Vonallmen and Robert Hall officiating. Burial followed in Goodhope born Sept. 28, 1940, in Rome, Mo., to Grover and Cleffie Blakey. She death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and her husband.
She is survived by daughters, Carla Budd and Pam Rackley; grandson, Stephen Reese; brother, George Blakey and sister, Anna Marie Goss.
The celebration of the homegoing for Joyce Rackley was held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, at the Sheffield family Life Center, Kansas City, under the direction of D.W. Newcomer’s Sons White Chapel. Graveside services and burial were held Saturday, July 8, at the Ava City Cemetery under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral home, Ava.
