Dortha Christeen Pogue, 84, of Bruner, born Nov. 4, 1922, in Coffeyville, Kan., the daughter of Robert and Stella Woods Swearingin.
Dortha was born.
Dortha was preceded in Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 till 7 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Chapel died Wednesday at his residence.
Funeral services, under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home, Franklin, Ky., were held Saturday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Steve Skinner officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn death by his brother, Shawn DeGraffenreid.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kansie Esters DeGraffenreid, of Frankliln, Ky.; three children, Joshua DeGraffenreid, of Lexington, Ky., and Cooper DeGraffenreid and Jaydee Kate DeGraffenreid, both of Franklin, Ky.; one brother, Baron DeGraffenreid, of Bolivar; and one sister, Ky’a Wheeler, of Springfield.
Marian Pelch, 85

Marian Pelch was died Dec. 7, 2006 at her home following a long illness.
She was a retired nurse, having worked for the state of California as she spent most of her life living in California.
She was a loving mother, kind and generous to everyone. Though she helped to raise several children, she gave birth to only one child, Jerry Pelch, who lovingly cared for his mother during the last few years of her life.
Marian was an ardent gardener who loved being outside in God's nature. She loved getting her hands in the soil, growing and experimenting with various plants. She had a very inquisitive mind about the things of God and loved growing and being surrounded by her beautiful flowers.
She loved to help others and to do missionary work. She helped support many missionaries and those doing God's work around the world. She also helped others place Bibles and Bible studies in American prisons and prisons in other lands.
She was concerned for children in orphanages, and shelter homes for abused women, mothers and children. She also enjoyed studying the Bible.
Cremation service was under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Ava.
Margaret Y. Wigger, 55

Margaret Yvonne "Mather" Wigger, 55, of Edwardsville, Kans. Cemetery, Thornfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Olathe Deaf Cultural Center, 455 E. Park, Olathe, KS 66061.
Mrs. Wigger graduated from the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe in 1969, and was a member of the greater Kansas City Association of the Deaf. She worked as a product inspector for Artex from 1978 until her retirement in 1995.
She is preceded in born Feb. 14, 1915 in Douglas County to Thomas and Lola McCullough.
Zola went to Pleasant Green grade school and finished at Ava High School.
Zola was united in marriage to Carl Norman Allen on June 25, 1929. She had many talents, and hobbies and jobs. She worked for Rawlings Sporting Goods, taught and played piano for many churches, rode in many horse shows and was #l in 1959 in the Fox Trotter Mares class. She also painted many oil pictures and had the Allen Trading Center from 1972 until 1973. Zola was death by her husband, Carl, on May 23, 1982, and also by her parents, brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons Arthur Allen, Ava, and Larry Allen of Cabool; five grandchildren, Ronnie Allen, of Kansas City, Rick Allen, Ava, Janet (Allen) Ream, Terry Allen, Springfield, and Bunny Allen, Cabool; 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, in the Ava born Aug. 22, 1944, in Portsmouth, Va., and departed this life Dec. 28, 2006, at the age of 62.
Edward was a resident of LaPorte, Ind., for the past 15 years, moving from Ohio. Edward served his country with U.S. Army. He was employed as chief engineer for bakeries in Ohio and Indiana. He loved playing billiards, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and being with his family.
On Dec. 11, 1991, Edward and Donna Ann Lempeck were united in marriage in Cleveland, Ohio.
Edward was preceded in Interment was in the Ava born June 8, 1926, in Taft, Calif., and death by her parents, her husband, Lester Pasley, twin daughters, and one grandson, Kasey Eaves.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Robert Sorensen and "Preacher" Dale Adams officiating. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. today (Thursday). Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church.
