Noel R. Lemmon, son of George Peter Lemmon and Wilma Grace Mackey Lemmon, was passed away on Nov. 25, 2005 in his home in Ava, at the age of 78 years.
Noel was a resident of the Ava community for most of his life. He was a farmer and also an electrician and general carpenter with his father in Kansas City, and later in Ava for several years. Noel was employed at the Douglas County Court House for several years and also worked for the Ava Recycling Center.
He was preceded in Cemetery, Walnut Grove, conducted by Wilson-Brim-Daniel Funeral Home, Ash Grove.
Local arrangements were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
Troy Ross Sanders, 77

Services for Troy Ross Sanders will be held at 9:30 a.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 1) in the sanctuary of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, Claremore Okla., with the Rev. Tom Schulze officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. in the Jenkins Funeral Service.
Troy Born Nov. 14, 1928, at Gainesville, to F.A. and Macie (Powers) Sanders, they moved to Ava, when he was a child, where he was raised and received his education.
In 1947, Troy was death by his parents.
Memorials in Troy’s memory may be made to the Jenkins born Dec. 11, 1909, at Smallett, Mo., the daughter of N.V. "Bird" and Lilly (Turner) Kester. She graduated from Ava High School in 1927 and was a member of the Ava Methodist Church and a charter member of Ava Chapter #47 Order of Eastern Star. She taught at Hunter School.
After surviving the polio epidemic of 1949, she completed her college education at SMS and spent her teaching career in the Springfield public schools system, teaching many years at Pepperdine.
She was born. Mr. Atteberry preceded her in married to Frank Isbell, then Lester Renegar. After her retirement she and Mr. Renegar moved to his childhood home in Birch Tree, Mo., where she lived until his died Jan. 16, 2005.
She was preceded in died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, of injuries suffered in an accident at the AGP Soybean Processing Plant in Port Neal, near Salix, Iowa.
Services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 23, at Wood Funeral Chapel in Sloan, Iowa. Burial was in the Sloan born Feb. 14, 1952, in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Forrest William and Irene Joyce (Mercer) Racobs. He had been a resident of the Sloan area since 1966. He graduated from Westwood High School in 1970. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1970 to 1974 and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was employed as a boiler operator at the AGP Soybean Processing Plant in Port Neal for 30 years and 4 months. David enjoyed visiting his sister's home east of Ava and hunting with the "gang" each November. He was an avid reader and movie buff.
Survivors include a brother, William "Bill" Burton Racobs of Castana, Iowa; a sister, Judith Elaine and Ransell Hutchison, of Norwood, Mo.; two nephews, Michael Wayne Racobs and Mark Andrew Racobs; three nieces, Kelly Leon Racobs, and Ronelle and Danny Carzoli and Lisa Gay England.
He was preceded in born Feb. 13, 1988, in Springfield, and departed this life Dec. 30, 2005 at the age of 17.
Mandy was the daughter of David and Terinda (Everett) Hampton and Mike Hampton of Ava.
Mandy was a lifelong resident of Ava, and a senior at Ava High School. Mandy attended Ava General Baptist Church and Highway Church of the Nazarene. She was very active in various clubs and loved and played all sports. She was the star of the basketball and volleyball teams.
Some of her sports accomplishments include: volleyball-1st team SCA all-conference 2004 and 2005 seasons, team MVP 2004 and 2005 seasons, 1st team all-district tournament 2004 and 2005 seasons; basketball-2004-2005 season 1st team SCA all-conference, 2004-2005 all-district basketball team, 2005, Christmas Classic at Lebanon all-tournament team, 2004 West Plains basketball Thanksgiving Tournament all-tournament team, 2004 and 2005 Lebanon Tournament all-tournament teams.
Her other school activities and accomplishments include: Student Council four years, National Honor Society, three years, A+ tutoring, Spanish Club two years, FCA, M-Pac, TREND, and FCCLA, one year. She served as a Pee Wee Basketball coach, Small Stars Volleyball coach, Pep Club Super Fan three years (chick original), and was a football Homecoming candidate in 2005.
Mandy also excelled and achieved many awards in clog dancing.
Mandy was preceded in Interment followed in the Ava death by his great-grandparents, Ralph Boyd, Jim and Donna McDaniel, Clyde Lirley and Ronnie Maggard.
He is survived by his parents; paternal grandparents, Leon and Pauline Boyd, and maternal grandparents, James and Debbie Lirley, all of Ava; great-grandparents, Ellen Boyd, Marie Maggard, Maxine Lirley, all of Ava; aunts and uncles, Michael and Jennifer Lirley, Waylon and Teresa Stafford, Daniel and Lindsay Boyd, Randall and Sara Whitaker, Gary and Karen Boyd, and Tim and Ladonna Kerr.
Graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, in the Union Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Vernon Fuller officiating. Services were under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Ava.
