Lowell F. Jordison was death by his parents, a brother, Russell, a sister Beverly Loy and an infant brother.
He is survived by Ann, his wife of 72 years, and a daughter, LoAnn Byers, both of Ava; a son, L. Dean and Mary Jordison, Gilbert, Iowa; five grandchildren, David Byers, Debbie Byers, Steve Jordison, Lora VanDePol, and B.J. Jordison; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elbert and Marie Jordison, and Raymond and Betty Jordison, of Fort Dodge, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with Elder Randy Spurlock and Elder Ike Rhoades officiating. passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008, in Springfield. She was Cemetery, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3322 S. Campbell, Suite R, Springfield, MO 65807.
Melvin (Mel) Ray Williams, 78

Melvin Ray Williams, formerly of Ava, Missouri, born Jan. 18, 1930, in Denver, Colo., to Moses Llewellyn and Lilly Belle Boyd Williams. Mel was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Marines. He was the former manager of the Ava Bear Bath car wash (Supreme Carwash Systems).
He is survived by his wife, Marie, and 13 children, Jim, Larry (deceased), Gloria, John, Tim, Randy, Catherine, Carl (deceased), Deb, Rick, Cristy, Anja, and Sharaya. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren, and all sons and daughters-in-law.
He will truly be missed by all of his family and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. in the Payson, Utah 20th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Cemetery with military rites accorded by the American Legion Honor Guard.

Edith Delores Potter, daughter of Chancey Sherman and Irene (Miles) Brown was born.
She was preceded in Cemetery, Goodhope, Missouri under direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Seymour, Missouri.
Bobby Gene Frye, 57

Bobby Gene Frye was born to DeWaine and Tsuruko Shirado Frye, and departed this life at his home in Ava on Oct. 11, 2008, at the age of 57 years 4 months and 6 days.
Bob graduated high school in Japan and shortly thereafter moved with his family back to his father’s hometown of Ava.
A quiet individual, Bob enjoyed watching his younger brother play high school football after moving here and always enjoyed watching all kind of athletics. Bob liked fishing and hunting but most of all he enjoyed following the nieces and nephews in their athletics and lives as they grew up.
Bob is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Ray, of the home; and his brother, Jimmy and wife, Lana Frye, of Sullivan. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Dr. Sarah Frye, Aaron Ray, Erica King, Alyssa Laramie, Chris Frye, Nick Frye, Austin Frye, and Bryant King, and a host of other relatives. Bob was preceded in Cemetery. Visitation was from 1 till 2 in the funeral home.
Darlene Sue Canfield, 61

Susie worked in the banking and bookkeeping business in the Kan-sas City area until 1988 when she moved to Ava. Susie loved making floral displays and helped in a flo-ral shop in Ava after moving here. Susie also loved playing bingo, boating at the lake and her two dogs. She was a Christian. Susie is survived by her beloved Eddie Scott; one daughter, Jennifer Madrid, Ava; her mother, Jan Boren, Springfield; two grandchil-dren, Justin Canfield, Ava; and Amber Canfield, also of Ava; one sister, Karen Stegwell, Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Scott Wilson; and several friends and family. Susie was preceded in passed away on Oct. 17, 2008 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare. Barbara was born. She was a member of the Gentry Church. She loved to read books and was a quick read. Barbara loved being with her family and friends and she loved and adored them.
Barbara was preceded by her parents, husband, Lester, one granddaughter and one brother, Wayne.
Barbara is survived by two sons and their spouses, George and Janice Young, Ava, and Kenneth and Elizabeth Young, Blackburn, Mo.; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Judy and Bill LeVelle, Walnut Shade, Mo.; two brothers, Jim Evans, Loganville, Ga., and Sim Evans, Ohio; one aunt, Lena and Jim Sallee, Mt. Vernon; a sister-in-law, Delores Young, Ava; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Barbara were Monday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in Denney Cemetery.
Mary Lou Hendricks, 60

Graveside services were held in Fairview, Okla., for Mary Lou Wells Hendricks who married Robert “Bob” Hendricks, who preceded her in born on Oct. 6, 1935 in Coldsprings, Mo., and went home to Heaven on Nov. 30, 2008 at the age of 73 years.
Harold was a resident of the Ava community most of his life. He was co-owner with his son, of Lakey and Lakey, Inc. in Ava. On June 7, 1958 Harold and Carol Ann Rider were united in marriage in Dayton, Wash., and to this union five children were born-again believer and faithful witness to others of the saving grace that had changed his life over 50 years ago. Harold faithfully attended Liberty Faith Church in Norwood, Mo., where he will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters in Christ.
Harold was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army.
Harold was preceded in death, is that others would hear the gospel, consider their own eternal destiny, and come to the Savior.
Services for Harold were Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. at Liberty Faith Church, Norwood, with Pastor Reg Kelly officiating. Cemetery, under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home. The family requests memorials to Camp JOY, a Christian Camp that Harold lovingly supported.
