James Doyne Parrish, 82

James Doyne Parrish, son of Marlie M. Parrish and Millie Frances Phillips Parrish, was passed away on Feb. 13, 2005, in Ava, at the age of 82 years.
James was a resident of Ava since 1963, moving from St. Louis. He was a repairman for Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. for 30 years. He also had worked as a school teacher in Arkansas. On July 3, 1955, James and Evelyn Pauline Alderson were united in marriage in McDougal, Ark., and to this union two children were death by his parents; one brother, Merle Parrish; one sister, Georgie Grissom; his wife, Evelyn Pauline in 1989; and one grandson, Joseph Lane Walker.
His survivors include, one daughter and her husband, Sharon Kay and Mark Wolfe; one son, Ritchie Lynn Parish, all of Ava; one grandson, Bradley Lane Walker, Ava; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service is Friday, Feb. 18, 2 p.m., at the Ava born May 29, 1924, in Drumright, Okla., and departed this life Dec. 8, 2006, at the age of 82.
James was a resident of Spokane, for the past three years moving from Ava. He was a farmer before retirement and was employed with Trenton Foods for several years. James served his country during World War II serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps. James was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Iowa.
On July 6, 1962, James and Velma McGuire were united in marriage in Ava.
James was preceded in Interment followed in the Mt. Tabor born March 7, 1959, in Rochelle, Ill., and went to be with her Savior on Feb. 11, 2005, at the age of 45 years.
Lorraine was a resident of the Ava area for the past seven years, moving here from New York. Lorraine was employed as a clerk and worked for the H. D. Lee Factory and was a Christian. Lorraine was a very caring person and friendly to everyone and she enjoyed music.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Veronica Tyler, New York; three grandchildren, Joshua, Zackary, Emma; her mother, Elaine Coonts and husband James, Ava; her father, Roger Brown, and wife Georgianne, Ava; maternal grandmother, Thelma Fleming, New York; one brother, Brian Brown, Washington; two sisters, Melissa Howell, Nixa and Serena Merriman, Theodosia; two step-brothers, Jim and Kevin Coonts, Davenport, Iowa; two step-sisters, Pam Reed, South Carolina and Debbie Geedings, Kentucky; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2 p.m., in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with Rev. Vernon Fuller officiating. Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

Florence Rantz was death.
Florence was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to have breakfast with her friends in town. She enjoyed growing a garden and working in her flowers. Florence always enjoyed visiting with her friends. She was a Christian most of her life.
Florence was preceded in Interment was in the Dyer passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at her home in Mtn. Grove.
Geralda was married Paul H. Roy in Mtn. Home, Ark., and to this union four children were death by her husband, Paul Roy, and her brother, Barker Shannon.
She is survived by her brother, C.D. Upshaw; her children and their spouses, Jerry Paul Roy and Jaqueline Hickam, of Springfield, Janis (Roy) and Don Kelly, of Norwood, Monte and Patti Roy, of Chesterfield, and Chris Roy, of Drury; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, Mackenzie, Travis and his wife, Sheryl, Jennifer and her husband, Jimmy, Housten and his wife, Jerrica, John and his wife, Heidi, Carrie, Bridget and her husband, Isaac, Clayton, Austin, Mikee, Michelle and her husband, Justin, Lindsay, Kelsey, Christine, Jason, and Lily Grace; 13 great-grandchildren, Ty, Emma, Max, Jaylene, Titus, Joelle, Trever, Josie, Trey, Addison, Ava, Cameron and Regan.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, in the First Christian Church, Mtn. Grove, with Dr. Don Hamby and the Rev. Fred Hamby officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Community Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
Mary Ann McGinnis Searcy, 73

Mary Ann McGinnis Searcy was married in Manilla, Ark., and to this union eight children were death by her parents, her brother, Franklin, her sister, Ruth, the father of her children, Junior McGinnis, a daughter, Susan, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Jack, of the home; one son, Jackie and Marylyn McGinnis, of Thornfield; six daughters, Sharon and Russ Thompson and Sandra Beck, both of Springfield, Sheila Greene, of Kimberling City, Selina and Rick Burchett, of Ava, Judy and Mike Jones, Rogersville, Teresa and Stacy Miller, Ava, and two stepsons, Fred and Doris Searcy, Ava, and Alvin and Irene Searcy, Brixey; and one stepdaughter, Martha Searcy, of Iowa. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Ava Family Funeral Home, with burial in the Hilo passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, Ava, at the age of 72.
Weldon was married in Leavenworth, Kan.
In 1997, Weldon retired from General Motors in Kansas City. Later moving back to Ozark County, Weldon and Virginia made their home in Thornfield. Weldon was a member of the Hilltop Victory Chapel.
Mr. Farmer is survived by his wife, Virginia Farmer, of the home in Thornfield; a son, Charles Farmer, of Willard; a daughter, Cindy Daniels, of Gainesville; three stepchildren, Lee Tigue, of Kansas City, Kan., Debbie Parsley, Dallas, Texas, and Jeannie Willis, Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in Cemetery.
