Cleo Avery Simpson born Jan. 1, 1926, at Pond Fork, Mo.
An Army veteran of World War II, Cleo served in the European Theater. He was in the Army's 45th Division quarter Master Corps, and helped liberate Dackau. After the war, he worked as a log truck driver, millwright and supervisor in various mills, retiring from P.W.T. in 1989.
Cleo faithfully attended the Nazarene Church of Ridgefield. His many memberships included the Daybreak Beagle Club, proudly receiving many awards from them; C.V.O.T.MA.; C.R.O.T.S.; and the N.W. Blue Grass Association.
Cleo was preceded in Interment was in Willamette National born May 24, 1930, in Stettler, Alberta, Canada, the sixth of eight children passed away on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at her rural home in Ava, following a lengthy bout with brain cancer.
She was the mother of five children which she raised by herself following the married Harry D. Case in 1973. Harry was a construction superintendent for Baugh Construction.
Harry and Glenna moved to Red Bluff, Calif., in 1986 following his retirement to a life filled with their many hobbies. Harry married Charles (Chuck) Gregg, a longtime friend from Alaska. Chuck and Glenna then moved to Ava where he had owned a farm for a number of years.
Glenna is survived by her husband, Charles, of Ava; and by her five children, daughters, Landa Baily, Ginny Barnes, and Fryth Huggins, and sons Archie and Roderick Lowe, as well as 11 grandchildren.
She will be long remembered for her kindness and consideration of small children amongst her church family, especially at Christmas time.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nixa.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in her name. passed away on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Webco Manor in Marshfield.
During the Depression, her family moved to California where she met and death by her parents, her husband of 34 years, Arthur, and three brothers, Sylvester, Howard and Nim.
Surviving are two sons, Bruce Hennan and wife, Diane, of Quanah, Texas, and Dr. Floyd Hennan and wife, Laura, of Abilene, Texas; five daughters, Mary Mundy and husband, Philip, of Bellview, Ohio, Barbara Walters and husband, Danny, of Newalla, Okla., Betty Luzadder and husband, Ernie, of Marshfield, Kandy Barnes and husband, Alvin, of Ava, and Dr. Pearl Hennan-Hain and husband, David, of Wurtland, Ky.; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wyba Neinstadt, Modesto, Calif., and Alma Williamson, Vancouver, Wash.; three brothers, Glenn Pulliam, Lodi, Calif., William Pulliam, state of California, and Foy Pulliam, Hemett, Calif.; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Turkey Creek Cemetery, Covington, Okla., with Tommy Donaldson and Jody Schmidt officiating. Arrangements were by Dugger Funeral Home, Garber, Okla.
He was died on Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at Perry Memorial Hospital.
Raymond attended Lakey and Arno schools and graduated from Ava High School in 1932. He attended Southwest Missouri Teachers University and taught school for two years.
He and Audrey Reynolds were death by his wife, Audrey of 68 years, his parents, five sisters and three brothers.

Velma L. Eddings, 80, of Gardner, Kan., born Sept. 16, 1926, to William Harvey Moore and Dora Ethel McBride Moore in Girdner, Mo. She grew up in Ava, and met and death by her parents, her husband, Earl, in 1976, a son, Jerry Lee Eddings, and a sister, Fern Kruse.
She is survived by sons, William "Bill" W. Eddings and wife Barbara, of Olathe, Kan., Larry D. Eddings and wife, Rozanna, of Deltona, Fla., Michael L. Eddings and wife, Toni, of Fort Scott, Kan.; sisters, Gustava Porter, of Seymour, and Pauline Brooke, of Ava; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, Kan.

Hunter William James Santos, infant son of Michael Santos and Kristin (Cummins) Santos, was stillborn Nov. 13, 2006, in Springfield.
Survivors include maternal grandparents William and Aloma Cummings, and paternal grandparents, Sandie and James Santos, all of Ava; paternal great-grandparents, Jim and Darlene Skelly, Ft. Worth, Texas; aunts Candy and Jim Millsap, and Calen, Sparta; Lori and Windell Harder, Ava, and Michelle Osman, Ft. Worth, Texas.
Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, in the Ava Cemetery with the Rev. Stan Collins officiating.
Services were under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
