Richard Worth Zartman, the son of Ferdie J. Zartman and Dessie Lovina (Rickel) Zartman, was death by his parents and two brothers, Jay and Carl Zartman.
He is survived by one sister, Mildred Krutzer, of the state of Illinois: a niece, Linda Zartman, Quinton, Okla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Cremation services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.

Charles Ballard Bruce III, son of Charles Ballard Bruce Jr. and Dessie Mae (Kellem) Bruce, was death by his father, Charles B. Bruce, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Sue of the home in Ava; his mother, Dessie Mae Bruce, Malvern, Pa.; four children and their spouses, Kim J. Bruce, Springfield, Tammy V. and Ron May, Fair Play, Michael D.A. and Michelle Bruce, Mtn. Grove, and Kenneth E. and Shallan Bruce, Ava; eight grandchildren, Brittany, Stephanie, Michael Jr., Daniel, Aubrey, Little Brittany, Tailer and Cody; three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Taylor and Dillon; three sisters, Barbara and husband, JC. Snyder, Macon, Ga., Patsy Kay, Warner Robins, Ga., and Gloria Gallian and husband, George, of Phoenixville, Pa.; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, at the Clinkingbeard Chapel with Pastors Mark Schuster and Doyne “Butch” McCleary officiating.
Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post 112 and VFW 5993. The family requests memorials to the American Lung Assoc., American Heart Assoc. or American Diabetes Assoc. Services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
Johnny Lowell Burkdoll Sr., 65

Johnny Lowell Burkdoll Sr. was married Carrie Fay Mitchusson in Rochelle, Ill., and to this union three children were death by a brother, Eldon Burkdoll, one sister, Doris Burkdoll, and his parents.
Funeral services for Johnny Lowell Burkdoll Sr. were held Wednesday Aug. 16 at 10 a.m., in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, with Rev. Tony Turner and Rev. John Haskins officiating.
Services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
T. Randal Pahl, 61

A memorial service for Terrence Randal “Randy” Pahl, 61, Tempe, Ariz., eldest son of Herschel and Bonnie Pahl, of Ava, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Ava United Methodist Church.
Mr. Pahl born Nov. 16, 1924, in Carney, Okla., and departed this life Sept. 13, 2006, at the age of 81 years.
Manford was a resident of the Ava area since 1977, moving here from Owosso, Mich. Manford was employed and retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment. Manford served his country with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW Post 5993, American Legion Post 112, Rebekah Lodge No. 236 and was a member of the Happy Home Freewill Baptist Church.
On Dec. 7, 1963, Manford and Avon Marian Rowell were united in marriage in Michigan; she preceded him in death by his parents and two brothers, Rex and Roma.
He is survived by his wife, Ulla, of the home, Ava; one sister, Melba Bruner, of Michigan; two brothers, Hershel Farrow, state of Arkansas, and Joe Farrow, state of Michigan; and many friends.
Services were held Friday, Sept. 15, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Visitation was Friday from 9 a.m. to service time.
Cemetery, Owosso, Mich. on Sept. 19.
Memorials may be made to Neighbor Helping Neighbor. Military rites were conducted by American Legion Post 112 and VFW Post 5993.
Daniel James Kiser, 52

Daniel James Kiser, the son of Jason Andrew Kiser and Laura (Hamilton) Kiser, was death by his parents and two brothers, James and Robert.
Daniel is survived by one son, Jason Kiser, Seattle, Wash.; a sister-in-law, Helga Kiser, Ava; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, at the Ava Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Gary Stigall officiating. Cremation service was under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
Orrin Paul 'Grandpops' Williams, 87

Orrin Paul Williams was born and raised near the Colorado Rockies he began his lifelong love for horses, which was second only to the love for his wife, Irene Garrett. They were united forever on Jan. 22, 1940. He was a well-respected horseman and cattle rancher, with his opinion being sought after until the day of his parting.
In Colorado, Orrin worked as a cattleman and rancher, at several feedlots, the Sleeping Indian Ranch, and then managed the Chimney Peak Ranch for over 26 years. His grandson, Jim, makes his home up on Chimney Peak Ranch in Ridgeway, Colo.
When Orrin reluctantly retired at the age of 74, he moved to Ava to be near "his kids." Regardless of where he made his home, he was an active and involved member of the community and always the first to volunteer when needed so he could lend a helping hand wherever needed. He could be counted on in any circumstance to help wherever, whenever, and however he could.
Orrin was preceded in married to Irene and they were blessed with only one child, but this child gave them five grandchildren.
He is survived by Kevin Blankmeyer, of Boise, Idaho, Kimberly Maggard and husband Eddie, and Trisha Schaeffer, all of Ava, James Blankmeyer and wife Becky, Ridgeway, Colo., and Derek Blankmeyer, Salt Lake City, Utah; 12 great-grandchildren, Dena Blankmeyer, Danny Maggard, Kate Blankmeyer, Jordan Blankmeyer, Sydney Schaeffer, Joel Blankmeyer, Calli Schaeffer, Deanne Blankmeyer, Jacob Blankmeyer, Garrett Maggard, Cody Blankmeyer and Jaycee Blankmeyer; and one great-great-grandson, Austin Maggard. He is also survived by one sister, Fern Loper, Downey, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews across the United States.
Always young at heart, Orrin lived for his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today (Thursday, Oct. 12) from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava.
The family is taking "Grandpops" home to Colorado to be with "Grammie." Services in Colorado are tentatively set for Monday, Oct. 16, in a church in Ridgeway. Cemetery, Delta, Colo.
The family has requested memorials to Grandpops' favorite charity, The Boys Ranch, in care of the funeral home. Local arrangements are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
