Violet Louise Woods, the daughter of Frankie William Charmasson and Alice (Wells) Charmasson, was passing she met and death by her parents; her husbands, Harold and Bob; one son, Jim Coombes; a son-in-law, Ron Durham; a brother Eli Charmasson; and a stepsister, Euleda.
Vi is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Durham, of Springfield, Brenda and Rod Garrett, of Springfield, and Sonya and Larry Hesterly, of Mansfield; a daughter-in-law, Linda Coombes Peters, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren, Rob and Sandy Durham, Jerry and Kim Durham, Angela Durham, Scott and Mindy Hesterly, Shelby and Chris Jenkins, and Ray Coombes; nine great-grandchildren, Brandon, Kyanni, Preston, Micah, Austyn, Gavynn, Samantha, Jordyn, and Riley. Also surviving is a sister, Eva Mae Wheeler; a half sister, Connie Shirlene Garrett; one stepsister, Geneva Michaels; and a step brother Ray Covalt.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, in the First Baptist Church of Mansfield with Pastor Dick Bishop officiating. Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Missions.
Larry Phillips, 66

Larry Louis Phillips, the son of Leroy Phillips and Dorothy Fern (Johnson) Phillips, was death by his father, and two brothers, Bill and Carol Joe.
Larry is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the home, Bruner; two children, Carol Poindexter and husband, Danny, Sparta, and Michael Phillips and wife, Gina, Bruner; his mother, Dorothy Fern Phillips, Bruner; three grandchildren, Bethany and Scott Poindexter, and Megan Phillips, all of Sparta; one great-grandson, Austin Rains; three sisters, Shirley Halcomb, Oldfield, Mary Essary, Springfield, and Vicki Ipock, Seymour; six brothers, Jack Phillips, Sparta, Doyle (Sid) Phillips, Gene Phillips, Donald Phillips and John Phillips all of Bruner, and Dale Phillips, Sparta; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, in the Temple Hill born June 30, 1927, in Garrison, and departed this life May 2, 2007, at the age of 79.
Leo was a long time resident of the Ava area. On July 10, 1945 Leo and Gloria Fletcher were united in marriage at Forsyth. Leo and Gloria were blessed with four children.
Leo worked as a logger and was a veteran, having served his country in World War II in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Breedon Freewill Baptist Church as well as the American Legion Post 112.
He was preceded in interment following in the Goodhope died Saturday, May 5, 2007, in Wichita Falls.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Rev. Garrett Kell, pastor of the Graham Bible Church, Graham, Texas, and Rev. Steve Collard, pastor of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Olney, Texas, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Carolyn was death by her father, Carol Green, on Nov. 21, 2000.
Survivors include her mother, Kathryn Green of Olney, Texas; three sons, Mark Horton and wife, Kalana of Graham, Texas, Matthew Green, of Olney, Texas, and Joshua Sparks of Dennison, Texas; three daughters, Shayla Corwin and husband, Mark of Olney, Texas, Katie Pierce, of Vernon, Texas, and Michala Sparks of Dennison, Texas; and six grandchildren, Dylan Horton and Camron Horton both of Graham, Texas, Andrea Corwin of Olney, Texas, Austin Horton of Graham, Texas, Taylor Corwin and Laine Corwin, both of Olney, Texas.

Shannen Ray Dobbs, son of Ray and Margie (Potter) Dobbs, was death by one son, Tyler Ray Dobbs.
Shannen is survived by his wife, Susanne, Ava; two children, Hayle and Katelyn; his parents, Ray and Margie Dobbs; one brother, Preston Dobbs and his wife, Cristi; one sister, Amanda Dobbs; one nephew, Chance; one niece, Laken Dobbs, all of Ava; two special aunts, Linda Scott and Pearl McFarlin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Cemetery.

Thomas Joe Stafford Sr., 75, of Bradleyville, born June 13, 1932, in Grovespring, the son of Thomas Reed and Bertha Alice (Brumfield) Stafford.
Joe was born, Thomas Joe Jr., Reba Jewell and Timothy Lynn Stafford. Tommy Joe, as his family and friends called him in his early years, was preceded in Cemetery with full military honors.
