Melinda R. "Mindy" Ryles, 18, of Clinton, born July 1, 1988, in Kansas City, to Frank L. Williams and Vicki L. Riley Williams.
Mindy was a senior at Clinton High School where she played on the soccer team as a freshman and sophomore, and was a member of the Clinton FFA. She loved spending her free time riding horses and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her parents, Terry E. and Vicki L. Ryles of the home; her father, Frank L. Williams, of Bolivar; three stepbrothers, Brent and Brad Williams, both of Wichita, Kan., and Frank Williams II, of Doniphan; three stepsisters, Tanya Faye Ryles, of LaPorte, Texas, Tammy Wayneless, Wichita, Kan., and Marie Williams, of Independence; her maternal grandmother, Betty Jo Riley, of Clinton; paternal grandparents, Bill and Judy Ryles, of Trinity, Texas; aunts and uncles, Tammie and Jeff Williams and family, of Clinton, Cynthia and Russ Riley and family, of Cleveland, Mo., Linda and Rayford Welch, Ava, Janie and John McCallister and family, of Concordia, Mo., and Peggy and Don Coots and family, of Trinity, Texas; a niece, Kathryn McKenna Woods, of LaPorte, Texas; and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mindy was preceded in Cemetery, with the Rev. Roger House officiating. Services here were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
Alta Graham, 97

Alta Graham, daughter of J.G. "Cap" and Cina Melton (Marsh), was born.
Alta was preceded in married, they lived in the Longrun/Thornfield area where they reared their two sons. The family had an auction business and held numerous sales in the southwest Missouri area.
In 1955, they moved to Mansfield where they built and opened the Mansfield sale barn. Alta worked with her husband and kept the sale receipts for their business. They later sold the sale barn and moved to their farm on Highway 5. The couple had an auction barn at their home where many community auctions were held.
Alta loved to work outside. One of her greatest joys was her vege¬table garden. She also enjoyed canning the products of her labor. Flowers were very important to Alta; she took great pride in her flower garden and was always gen¬erous in sharing her plants and wis¬dom of her green thumb. The Afri¬can violet was her most favorite flower.
Alta enjoyed playing games with her grandkids and she took great pride in a spotless home. Alta also loved to sew and piece quilts.
In March 1987, Alta moved to Heart of the Ozarks Health Care Center, Ava. She leaves behind many friends and a truly loving, caring staff there.
Alta had a quick wit and an amazing sense of humor. She loved to make people smile. She espe¬cially enjoyed giving away her "pretties."
Alta was a loving mother, mother-in-law, granny, aunt, neighbor and friend.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 26, at Holman-Howe Chapel, Mansfield, with the Revs. Danny Douglas and Tom Johnson officiating. Burial was in Mansfield born on Sept. 11, 1925, in Arno, and born.
He was preceded in Interment will be in the Ava passed away at Oak Valley Hospital on March 7, 2007. She was death by her parents, Harve and Helen Haynes, and her husband, Herbert Carter Jr.
She is survived by her sister, June Haynes, of Missouri; a son and his wife, Ron and Judy Carter; grandchildren, Kathryn and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Natalie Rose, Jack and Jackson; and her companion for 35 years, Stan Lowry.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 13, at 10 a.m. at Oakdale Citizens born Aug. 9, 1930 in Tigris, and departed this life Feb. 23, 2007, at the age of 76.
Clyde was a resident of Strafford and a former resident of Ava. He served his country during the Korean Conflict and retired from the National Guard.
On Jan. 12, 1952 Clyde and Virginia Lorene Hicks were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, Ark. Clyde and Virginia were blessed with three children.
Clyde enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting, drag races and truck pulls. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Strafford.
Clyde was preceded in Interment followed in the Fannon born March 16, 1933, in Wasola, and departed this life Feb. 19, 2007, at the age of 73.
Wanda June was a resident of Springfield for the past 10 years, moving there from Hurley. Wanda was a member of the Oak Grove General Baptist Church but attended the First General Baptist Church in Springfield for many years. She enjoyed singing in the church choir. She was a fun loving person and loved playing cards and just loved visiting with everyone.
Wanda was preceded in Cemetery, Wasola, with Pastor Dean Trivitt officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava. Memorials may be made to the First General Baptist Church of Springfield.
