Bernice was death by her husband of 58 years, Elwood Coon; one daughter, Vayda LaRose; and one son, Wayne Coon.
Her survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Beth, of Independence; granddaughters, Marsha Phillips, Blue Springs, and Cathy Dennis, Kansas City; one grandson, Steve Coon; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a multitude of friends and other family members.

Edith Brennan Farmer, 100

Mrs. Edith Brennan (Mason) Farmer, 100, longtime Dewey, Okla., area resident, interment were directed in the Dewey City born Sept. 13, 1906 at Tedrick. She was the daughter of William James Joseph Mason and Emma (Graham) Mason. She was reared and completed her education in rural Missouri schools. In 1922 the family moved to Dewey, Okla. She was united in marriage on Oct. 17, 1927 at Ava, to Edward Ray Farmer and they established their first home at Drury, where they farmed and Mr. Farmer was employed as a ranch hand. In July 1928, Edith and Edward moved to Dewey, Okla., when he became an employee of the Dewey Portland Cement Company. He preceded her in death by her father; mother; daughter, Mrs. Joan (Farmer) Riedel; three brothers, Eddie, Melvin and Clarence Mason; and three sisters, Mrs. Mae Hale, Mrs. Pearl Bird and Mrs. Rosie Anderson.
Arlewis Adams, 79

Arlewis Adams, of Strafford, went to Heaven on Aug. 5, 2007, after suffering a tragic accident at the age of 79.
Arlewis was death by his parents, two sisters, Velma Denney and Ellavern Adams, and a son, Douglas Adams.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pernie; a son, Dennis Adams; a sister, Earlene Owens; a cousin raised with him, Geneva Piland; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m., at Klingner-cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, Springfield. Burial followed in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Ursula Edith Luettgenau, 78

Ursula Luettgenau was born April 15, 1921 in Calico Rock, Ark. She departed this life Aug. 14, 2007 at the age of 86.
Thelma was a life long resident of the area. Thelma and Clarence Warford were united in marriage Dec. 11, 1937 in Ava. They were blessed with eight children. Clarence preceded Thelma in death by her parents; four children, Fay Warford, Marjorie Amos, Shirley Ann Warford and Larry Warford; four brothers, Bill, Thurman, Joe and Jack Boatman; three sisters, Rener Sexton, Elmeth Offord and Nancy Woods; two grandchildren, Tozy Munoz and Wade Davis; and one great-grandchild, Chad Davis.
Thelma is survived by four children, Linda Kaberline, Nancy Deever, Billy Ray Warford all of Ava, and Sherman Warford, Lansing, Kan.; 29 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Lorine Van Winkle, Batesville, Ark.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, in Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. John Henry VanWinkle officiating. Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home.
Eula Hollis, 90

Services for Eula Hollis, 90, of Memphis, Texas, were Friday, Feb. 25, 10 a.m., at Hughs Memorial Chapel in Memphis, Texas, with her grandson, Pastor Rob Hollis, officiating, assisted by Rev. Bruce Howard. Burial was at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, at Nogal passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, in Memphis, Texas.
She was married J. N. "Shorty" Hollis on Dec. 24, 1933, in the parsonage of First Baptist Church in Texaco, New Mexico, where her grandson, Rob, is now pastor. Mrs. Hollis lived in Plainview, Texas for a number of years before moving to Ava on July 4, 1962. She later moved to Carrizozo, New Mexico, residing there for nearly 20 years. She moved to Memphis, Texas in June of 1997. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Carrizozo, New Mexico, where she taught Sunday school for many years. Mrs. Hollis was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 28, 1992; two infant sons; and one brother, Virgil Teague.
She is survived by four sons, Richard Hollis, Sr., of Memphis, Texas, Gerald Hollis, of Memphis, Texas, Tommie Hollis, Ava, and Donnie Hollis, of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
