Allen N. “Bud” Neely, Jr., 88, of Riverdale, born on May 18, 1925 in Whitesboro, TX, the son of Allen N. Sr. and Reba (Sullivan) Neely. On November 22, 1946 in Bettendorf, he death by two sisters, Wanda Neely and Aylene Wendt.
Leonard D. Sanders, 78

Leonard Doil Sanders, son of Burl T. and Bertha (Alcorn) Sanders, was born.
Leonard served as Douglas County Sheriff for many years. He had also worked for White River Electric for over 20 years and he was a farmer.
Leonard was a member of the Black Oak General Baptist Church of Ava.
He enjoyed serving his community and loved his family dearly.
He is preceded in Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The family requests memorials to the Douglas County Historical Society or to the donor's choice of charity.
Claudia Mary Owens, 81

Mary Owens, the daughter of Claud E. Gaulding and Amy (Small) Gaulding, was born. Mary was a housewife and helped her husband operate the All Night Station for 40 years. She also taught for a short time in a one room school house in Ozark County.
Mary was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Ava and the Ava Chapter #47 Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She looked forward to the great-grandchildren invading her house after school and going to their ballgames. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden and helping her church family.
Mary was preceded in Interment was in the Ava passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
Pearl was born.
Pearl lived her entire life in the Garrison - Chadwick area and was a long time member of the Garrison Baptist Church. She was a hard working woman who enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing for her family, and being outdoors riding her 4-wheeler. Pearl was a very devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Ultimately she will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family. She touched the lives of everyone she ever met with her optimistic attitude and her love for life. The most cherished and best remembered times of her life have been the "togetherness" of her family.
She was preceded in Cemetery.

Jackson Hubbard, 79

Jackson Hubbard, son of Kelsa Hubbard and Mattie (Snyder) Hubbard, was died April 6, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center, Redding, Calif., following a traffic accident.
He was preceded in married in 1947. They had two daughters, on their Missouri farm. In 1954 the family moved to Shasta County, Calif., where Jackson was employed by U.S. Plywood/ Champion International for 32 years. Jackson and Marjorie had another daughter and a son. Over the 58 years they were Cemetery in Shasta County, Calif.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Veterans born Oct. 27, 1926, in Davenport, Iowa, and departed this life April 22, 2005, following a long illness, at the age of 78.
Esther was raised by Ada (Rose) Athey. On Oct. 31, 1942, Esther and William Johnson were united in marriage and to this union four children were death in 1959.
On May 13, 1960, Esther and Floyd Currier were united in marriage in Iowa City, Iowa. Esther has been a resident of the Ava area for the past 24 years, moving here from Buffalo, Iowa.
She was employed as a secretary in the Ava courthouse for eight years. Esther was a Christian and attended Sweden Church, and sang bass in the church choir. She was an accomplished pianist.
Preceding Esther in Interment followed in the Sweden Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Sweden Church.
