Mary Belle Deeds, daughter of Lonnie Kester and Susan Kate Pratt Kester, was passed away on June 21, 2005, in Rocky Ridge Manor in Mansfield, at the age of 79 years.
Mary Belle was a lifelong resident of the Ava community. On Dec. 21, 1954, Mary Belle and Carl Von Deeds were united in marriage in Wasola, Mo., and to this union two daughters were death by her parents; one brother, Lowell Kester; her husband, Carl, in 1991; and her daughter, Carla Branstetter, on April 14, 2005.
Her survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lonna and Vince Akers, Ava; a son-in-law, Rick Branstetter, Springfield; three grandchildren, Alyssa Akers, Ava, and Matthew and Katelyn Branstetter, Springfield; one sister, Naomi McGill, Tulsa, Okla.; and many relatives and friends.
Services are Thursday, June 23, at 10 a.m., in Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, with Pastors Bob Sorensen and Dale Adams officiating. Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Gideons or Community Hospice. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
Donald M. Turner, 76

Donald M. Turner, of Peoria Heights, Ill., Born Oct. 8, 1928 in Squires, to Homer and Mary (Spurlock) Turner, he death by his parents.
Donald worked as an engine inspector for the Caterpillar Tractor Company at the Mossville Plant, retiring in July of 1991 after 40 years of service.
He was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Mossville, Ill.
Cremation has been accorded.
Memorial services were at 6 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Groveland, Ill. Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services in East Peoria, Ill., was in charge of arrangements.
Mary Catherine Perry, 54

Mary Catherine Perry, 54, Springfield, was death by her father, Charles Perry, and stepfather, Bill Schreiner.
Mary is survived by her mother, Betty Schreiner, of Springfield; one sister, Pam Langford and husband, Lyn, of Twin Falls, Idaho; two brothers, John Perry and wife, Pam, Ava, and Trevor Perry and wife, Debbie, of Montgomery, Ala.; and 16 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, in First Baptist Church, Marionville, with the Rev. Lee Miller officiating. Cemetery under the direction of Day Funeral Home of Marshfield.
Doris Elizabeth Smith Lisby, 89

Doris Elizabeth Smith Lisby born Sept. 3, 1915, in Rochester, Minn. She was preceded in Interment was in Ava born Aug. 29, 1929, in Kelso, Wash., and departed this life June 29, 2005, at the age of 75.
Arthur was a resident of the Wasola area for the past three years. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. He raised llamas and miniature donkeys.
Arthur was preceded in born on Nov. 13, 1950, in Pasadena, Texas, and death by her father.
Her survivors include her husband, Ronald Clemens of the home; one son, Cole Goodwin and wife, Amy, Springfield; one daughter, Sharon Moore, Houston, Texas; her mother, Joyce Dorothy Terrell, Houston, Texas; two brothers, Lonnie Covin, Dallas, Texas, and James Covin, Houston, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Ava.
Faye (Buchanan) Robertson Jessen, 73

Faye (Buchanan) Robertson Jessen, 73, Ava, born June 6, 1932, the daughter of Walter J. and Allie (Slate) Buchanan, and one of 22 siblings.
She was an active member of First General Baptist Church. Her passions in life were worshipping her Lord Jesus Christ, loving her family, enjoying time spent with friends and serving her neighbors.
Faye was an avid member of Eastern Star, where she joyfully served on numerous boards and committees.
She proudly worked in the aerospace industry. She also served as an educator, a dental assistant, and a dance instructor.
Faye exhibited a tremendous zeal for life in all she did. She demonstrated her great faith through her service to others. All who knew her for the wonderful person she was, will miss her companionship. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of we who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her unselfish life. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parent, her first husband, Paul O'Neil Robertson, and 20 siblings.
Surviving family members include, husband, Walter "Walley" J. Jessen, of the home; on son, Ric W. Buchanan, and wife, Jane, of Ava; one daughter, Robin L. Buchanan, of Ava; three step-children, David Jessen and wife, Doreen, of Ann Arbor, Mich., Tim Jessen and wife, Rosie, Murrieta, Calif., Dan Jessen and wife, Krista, Belgrade, Mont.; 11 grandchildren, Chenoa and Annalisa Carpenter, both of Ozark, Adam Buchanan, of Ava, Riki Buchanan, of Springfield, LeeAllie and Zac Buchanan, both of Ava, Lea Jessen and Dana Jessen, both of Ann Arbor, Mich., Josiah Jessen, of Oregon, Nathan Jessen and Samuel Jessen, both of Murrieta, Calif.; one great-grandson, Hunter Carpenter, of Ozark; one sister, Velma Arbuckle, of Ava; other relatives and countless friends who were also cherished members of her family.
A Memorial service is planned for Saturday, 7 p.m., Aug. 20, at First General Baptist Church, Ava, with Rev. Robert Roberts and Rev. Dustin Ledford officiating.
