Jack Laurie
Jack Laurie, age 72, of St. James, formerly of Laurie, born June 20, 1933 in Laurie, Missouri, the son of William Buster and Eula Elsie Chipley Laurie. He was united in marriage on May 3, 1952 with Merle Ann Silvey, who preceded him in death by two sisters, Anna Marie Brill and Louetta Weinstein, and one granddaughter, Leslie Ann Laurie. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, at Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church in Laurie, with Rev. Rick White officiating. Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jack Hutchison, Dean Martin, Jerry Libby, Kevin Ward, Gene Hanrahan, Larry Hendrix, Orel Sands, Jim Bales, and Glen Hibdon. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Laurie. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.

Shirley Clifton Mason
Shirley Clifton Mason, age 58, of Jonesburg, Missouri, born April 6, 1947 in Sac City, Iowa, the daughter of Clifton Guy and Iris Dorothy Duitsman Mason. She is survived by three daughters, Dawn Stein of Sullivan, MO, Wendy Kiethline of St. Peter, MO, and Melaine Barrillier of St. Charles, MO; three sisters, Kathleen Pion of Alberton, N.C., Sheri Price of Forest City, N.C., and Connie Eaton of Cleveland, TN; her step father, Elmo McConnell Forest City, N.C.; six grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in Cemetery, with inurnment following. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Shirley A. Boyd
Shirley A. Boyd, age 70, of Sunrise Beach, born April 2, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Paul P. and Nellie K. Ballew Breitenstein. She was united in marriage on February 15, 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri, with Bill G. Boyd. Mrs. Boyd was a secretary for Trans World Airlines for 35 years, member of the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, the American Legion Zack Wheat Post #624 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Osage Community Lady Elks #2705 of Laurie. She is survived by her husband, Bill G. Boyd of the home, one son, Patrick O’Neil of Johnson County, Kansas, many other relatives and friends. Memorial services was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, at the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, with Father David Buescher officiating. Private family inurnment will be in St. Patrick passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2005 in Laurie. She was death on February 17, 2005. Myrna was a co-owner of Sherman Millwork and a member of the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Mark Sherman and wife Melanie of Laurie, and Scott Sherman of Kansas City, one granddaughter, Madisen Sherman, her mother, Ruth Aeschbacher of Laurie, one sister Elaine Ernst and husband Don of Jefferson City, as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 23, 2005 at the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jim Blue officiating. Burial will be in the Garber Memorial Estates. Casketbearers are Don Ernst, Kirby Ernst, Jay Ernst, Milt Lehman, Tom Lehman and Don Lehman. The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church music department or the Shriners Hospital in St. Louis Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.

James E. “Gene” Kennedy
James E. “Gene” Kennedy, age 81, of Lee’s Summit, formerly of Fortuna and Versailles, born December 23, 1923 at Gravois Mills, Missouri, the son of James Martin and Mabel Wilda Landrum Kennedy. He was united in marriage with Betty L. Carlow, who preceded him in Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

D. Faye Ham
D. Faye Ham, 86, of Versailles, born April 30, 1916, in Hopkins County, Texas, a daughter of Clark and Jenny Fleming. On May 21, 1948, she was died April 7, 1994. Mrs. Ham was a retired bookkeeper and homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Versailles. Surviving are a daughter, Betty Silvey of Versailles; three stepsons, Richard Ham of Grove, Okla., Dale Ham of Los Angeles and Howard Ham of Fort Scott, Kan.; three stepdaughters, Mary Helen Green and Jeanne Ham of Pittsburg, Kan., and Dorothy Moore of Fort Scott; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with the Rev. Todd Forman officiating. Burial will be in Versailles passed away Friday morning, February 28, 2003 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. He was Interment will be in the Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery in Laurie. The family will receive friends from 5;00 to 7:00 Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Arrangements were under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.
