WAYNE DOOLEY
Wayne Dooley, 60, of Hardin, Mo., formerly of Lee’s Summit, died at 7:43 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Mo.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond, Mo.
Graveside services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Lake Cemetery, Lamar, Mo.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Children’s Mercy Hospital Neo Natal Unit or to the Eastern Star Training Award for religious leadership.
Wayne was born July 17, 1944, in Ray County, Mo., to Ralph Marvin and Peggy Lou (McGinnis) Dooley.
He married Carol Sue Fox, Lamar, on Nov. 20, 1978.
Mr. Dooley was a member of Hardin United Methodist Church.
He was a truck driver for Faurecia Seat Company in Kansas City, Mo., for the last 10 years.
He was a 1962 graduate of Hardin High School.
Wayne was most recently the Worthy Patron of the Lexington Chapter #248 O.E.S., which he had held for the last two years.
He was a member of Heroine Rockhill Masonic Lodge #104 A.F. and A.M. in Kansas City.
He was also an Honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.
He was a former assistant Scout Master and Committee Chairman of Troop #220 in Lee’s Summit.
Wayne was a United States Air Force veteran.
He had lived in Lee’s Summit before returning to the Hardin area 10 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Lou Dooley; and his grandparents.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Dooley, of the home; father, Ralph Marvin Dooley, Richmond; two daughters and one son-in-law, Angela Milsap, Amarillo, Texas, and Tracey and Steve Emerson, Kansas City; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Richard Alan and Brenda Dooley, Warrensburg, Mo., Michael Scott Dooley, Duluth, Minn., Mark and Sharron Ayers, Montgomery, Ala., and Rodney and Terisa Ayers, Lamar; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; and a former daughter-in-law, Jana Maguire and husband, Jay, Rockwell City, Iowa.

FRANK EDWIN EVANS
Frank Edwin Evans, 64, Brighton, Mo., passed away at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., after a five-month illness.
Funeral services were Dec. 13, at Springhill Baptist Church, Springfield, Mo.; Rev. Stewart Wine and Rev. Kevin Smith officiated.
Burial was in Salem Cemetery, Cliquot, Mo.; Rev. Larry Thomas officiated.
Casketbearers were Delbert McCracken, Bill Driskill, Jerry Cramer, Ron Ruff, Dale Pitts and Charles Gum.
Honorary casketbearers were David Pitts, David Gum, Dennis Conrad, Larry Oder, Bill Tade, John Alley, John Gibbs and Larry Dale Miller.
Memorial contributions may be made to Springhill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 11, Bolivar, MO 65613.
Frank was born Oct. 16, 1940, near Cliquot, the son of Floyd Chester Evans and Lillian May (Bays) Evans.
He attended Mt. Herman Rural School in first through eighth grades, and Humansville High School, where he graduated in 1958.
He also attended Draughn’s Business School for one year.
Frank accepted the Lord as his Savior on June 10, 1962, at Lin-Wayne Baptist Church, Kansas City.
He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.
He married Evelyn Jones on Sept. 1, 1962, at Lin-Wayne Baptist Church.
They were the parents of two sons, Jeffrey Wayne and Gregory Edwin Evans.
He was a pipefitter for AT&T; Technologies for 30 years, retiring in July 1994.
He was a sports enthusiast, playing basketball and baseball.
In recent years, he was a member of the Kansas City Metro 50+ Softball League.
Fishing, hunting and enjoying his grandchildren were the highlights of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd C. Evans, in 1976.
Frank is survived by his wife, Evelyn Evans, of the home; two sons, Jeff Evans, Riverside, Mo., and Greg Evans, St. Joseph, Mo.; mother, Lillian Evans-Dake, Bolivar, Mo.; one brother, Junior Evans and wife, Peggy, Buffalo, Mo.; sister, Donna Smith and husband, Don, Springfield; four grandchildren, Lia and Spencer Evans, Gladstone, Mo., and Mackenzie and Skylar Evans, St. Joseph; five nieces; two aunts; numerous cousins; and a host of friends.
Frank left a lasting impression on everyone he met throughout his life.

CLARENCE WILBERT GRIFFIN JR.
Clarence Wilbert Griffin Jr., 67, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at Overland Park Regional Hospital.
Memorial services were Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Langsford Funeral Home. Cremation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clarence Griffin Memorial Fund; please make checks payable to Monika Griffin.
Clarence was born Oct. 5, 1937, in St. Joseph, Mo., the son of Clarence and Anna Griffin.
In 1965, he met and married his one and only true love, Monika Lindhorst.
They would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on April 14, 2005.
Clarence retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1976, and then made Lee’s Summit his permanent home.
He worked as a supervisor for Deffenbaugh Disposal in Johnson County, Kan., and had been a loyal and dedicated employee for more than 20 years.
Survivors include his loving wife, Monika Griffin; four children, Diana Schritenthal and husband, Ron, Lee’s Summit, Tom Griffin and wife, Debbie, Fort Bragg, N.C., Angela Griffin, Lee’s Summit, and Andrea Bergen and husband, Tom, Lincoln, Neb.; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Shelby, Alex, Zachary, Sydney, Kennedy, Justin and Aidan; four sisters, Peggy, Pamel, Mary and Carol; and four brothers, Ronald, Richard, Larry and David.
My husband, our father, our Grandpa, you left so quickly, there was no time for goodbyes.
But not so quickly that you were not able to leave a piece of you behind in each one of us.
Your undying strengths will forever hold in our hearts.

CHARLES K. “CHARLEY” HALE
Charles K. “Charley” Hale, 63, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at his residence.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Mt. Washington Forever Mausoleum Chapel; burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery, Lee’s Summit. Visitation is one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
Charley was born March 23, 1941, in Greenwood.
He was an Army veteran, having served in Vietnam.
He retired from General Motors at the Leeds Plant after 25 years of service.
Charley was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Ararat Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl, of the home; son, Luke Hale; grandsons, William and Bryce Hale; and three brothers, Tom Hale, Howard Hale and Rex Hale.

LINDA (JOHNSTON) HEENEY
Linda (Johnston) Heeney was born March 29, 1954, in Camp Lejeune, N.C., to Robert L. Johnston and Mary F. Ledford, and went to be with her Lord on Nov. 22, 2004, at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Okla.
Linda worked for many years as an LPN and truly loved her profession.
She loved all of her children and grandchildren, and her husband, father, mother and brother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Johnston, and is survived by her mother, Mary F. Johnston; husband of 19 years, William E. Heeney; brother, Keith Johnston; two children, Angela Golden, Tulsa, and William J.L. “Billy” Heeney, Kiefer, Okla.; four step-children, Jeffrey T. Heeney, Woodbridge, Va., Chrystal D. Hogan, Mexico, Mo., Patrick S. Heeney, Kiefer, and Michael D. Heeney, Kiefer; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial services were Nov. 26, at Freedom New Covenant Church, Kiefer; Rev. Charles Ballard officiated.
Linda will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

W. JOYCE (STOUT) MILLSAP
W. Joyce (Stout) Millsap, originally from Lone Jack, passed away Dec. 1, 2004, in Littleton, Colo.
Joyce was born on the old Hutt Farm near Lone Jack, and attended school there through 1949.
She graduated from Shawnee Mission in 1951.
She also attended Colorado State University.
She was active in sports, music and her business endeavors.
She always had good recollections of the Missouri area and, of course, had several relatives there.
She especially liked the Branson area.
Joyce’s parents, now deceased, are Roy C. Stout and Mary (Phillips) Stout.
They are buried in Loveland, Colo.
She is survived by her husband, Merle Millsap, Littleton; son, Bradley Smith, Arvada, Colo.; daughter, Kimberly (Smith) Snowden, Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Calvin Stout and wife, Carolyn, Loveland, and Norman Stout and wife, Carol, Irvine, Calif.

MARGIE MAE (SADE) NEBE
Margie Mae (Sade) Nebe, 79, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at Village Care Center.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Langsford Funeral Home; burial in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

EMMA A. WARD
Emma A. Ward, 93, of Lee’s Summit, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Lee’s Summit Hospital.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church.
Visitation is one hour prior to services, at the church.
Cremation to follow; private inurnment in Lee’s Summit Cemetery.

Emma was born Dec. 24, 1910, in Nevada, Mo., to Carl and Stella (Martin) Stephenson.
Mrs. Ward was a longtime member of Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church.
Emma had a lifelong love of music and fashion.
She was a member of the PEO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Ward; and son-in-law, Darrell Manes.
Emma is survived by her daughter, Patricia Manes, Lee’s Summit; granddaughter, Darra Draheim and husband, Richard, Lee’s Summit; grandson, Ward Manes, Kansas City, Mo.; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Elizabeth Draheim.

Robert L. Hayward, 88, Lee’s Summit, passed away Dec. 4, 2004, at Village Care Center.
