Mary Ellen Wunsch
Mary Ellen Wunsch, 68, of Rocky Mount died Saturday, June 10, 2000.
She was born May 19, 1932, in Houston, Texas. She reared her four children in Houston, Texas; three sons, Francis Leo Cox III of Holts Summit, John Michael Cox of Rocky Mount and Kenneth Ray Hixon of Lake Ozark; a daughter, Valerie Hixon Lindsey of Barnett; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hedges Funeral Home in Osage Beach. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery at Houston, Parker McNeal. On Aug. 10, 1975, he was married at Hickory Point Baptist Church north of Iberia to Belinda Kelsay, who survives at the home.
Mr. McNeal was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a former minister at High Gate Baptist Church, New Hope Baptist Church, Mt. Herman Baptist Church, Barnett Baptist Church and Henley Baptist Church. He worked for the Texas and Derwin L. McNeal of Sedalia. A son, Timothy McNeal, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Aurora Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernie Buscher and the Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia, with military honors.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the McNeal Children Education Fund.

Raymond Allen Jeffries
Raymond Allen Jeffries, 76, of Brumley died Thursday, Sept. 28, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
He was born May 10, 1924, in Miller County to Benjamin and Rosette Snelling Jeffries. On Jan. 14, 1952, he was married in Arkansas to Dorothy Carroll, who survives at the home.
Mr. Jeffries operated heavy equipment for Lodge of the Four Seasons, Lake Ozark, and LOCI. He was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the National Rifle Association and was a past member of the VFW Post at Osage Beach.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Raymond Lee Jeffries and Jerry Allen Jeffries, both of Brumley; two daughters, Dorothy Shirley of Pittsburg, Kan., and Betty L. Cotten Jefferies of Rocky Mount; a sister, Phyllis Wright of Jefferson City; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A daughter, D'Ana Jeffries, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hedges Funeral Home in Osage Beach. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery at Kaiser.

Viola Barnhart
Viola Barnhart, 87, of Troy, Mo., died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab in Troy.
She was born Sept. 16, 1913, in Milen to Jeff and Anna Machon Pendleton. On Sept. 6, 1930, she was married in Maries County to Euel Barnhart, who died in 1981.
Mrs. Barnhart worked for United Van Lines in Fenton for 10 years. She had been a member of the Troy First Baptist Church and an officer with the Troy Chapter 405, Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving her are a son, John Barnhart of Greenwood; two daughters, Shirley McCollum of Troy, Mo., and Joretta Jasper of Carlsbad, N.M.; a brother, Charles Pendleton of Dixon; three sisters, Rosa Woody of Springfield, Jean Williams of Troy, Mo., and Velma Williams of Sullivan; two sister-in-laws, Agnes Pendleton of Iberia and Laveda Ferren of the lake area; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 26, at McCoy and Blossom Funeral Home in Troy, Mo. The Rev. Gary E. Berry officiated. Burial was held at noon Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Pendleton Cemetery at Meta. Charles Williams officiated at the graveside service.

Howard Lee Leffert
Howard Lee Leffert, 46, of Warrensburg died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, in Independence.
He was born Aug. 20, 1954, in Eldon to Delmar Lee "Tuck" and Anita Laverne Blankenship Leffert. On Aug. 2, 1991, he was married in Miami, Okla., to Brenda Jo Barrette-Stoddard.
Mr. Leffert had worked as a mechanic for Wal-Mart in Warrensburg until 1998. He had been a member of the Olean Christian Church since June 9, 1968, and attended the Liberty Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Mo.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Leffert is survived by a daughter, Sarah Dawn Leffert of the home; two stepsons, Thomas Stoddard and Anthony Stoddard, both of Holt; a brother, Steven Leffert of Eldon; and four sisters, Susan Rehagen of Holts Summit and Pamela Virgin, Katherine Seek and Jennifer Beard, all of Eldon.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon with Dr. Edward Peeples and Bro. Jim Kruse officiating. Burial was in Freedom Cemetery near Linn Creek.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.

Tammy Sue Wood
Tammy Sue Wood, 33, of Eldon died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, at her home.
She was born Jan. 13, 1967, in Jefferson City to Gaithel and Ida Mae Witt Wood.
She is survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
The body was cremated under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Graveside services will be held at a later date.

Leonard Chandis Huddleston
Leonard Chandis Huddleston, 84, of Eldon died Saturday,Sept. 30, 2000, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
He was born March 6, 1916, in Jefferson City to Elbert and Stella Stubblefield Huddleston.
Mr. Huddleston was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Kaiser. He worked at the Boy Scout Camp in Osage Beach. He was a lifetime resident of Eldon and performed mowing and lawn care for many years.
The body was cremated under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home of Eldon. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery near Kaiser at a later date.

Walter 'Moose' White
Walter "Moose" White, 76, of Eldon died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in Eldon.
He was born May 29, 1924, in Greencastle to John Wesley and Cora Mae Jackson White. He was married Oct. 9, 1940, to Mary A. Jones. On May 29, 1953, he was married to Ramona Lee Blankenship, who died Jan. 5, 1986.
Mr. White was reared in northern Missouri and spent years in Colorado and Eldon. He had several Eldon businesses, including Moose's Teenland, several used car dealerships, antique stores and auctions. He was president of the Eldon CB Club in the 1970s.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Colorado Army Natonal Guard.
Surviving Mr. White are six daughters, Carolyne Strange, Betty White and Patty King of Eldon; Juanita Julius and Susan Viola of Penrose, Colo, and Lori Hees of Rocky Mount; a son, Dennis White of Eldon; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
One son, Walter Henley White Jr., and a daughter, Diana Lee White, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with Dennis White officiating. Burial will be in the Eldon Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
