James Albert Enowski
James Albert Enowski, 53, of Eldon died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 6, 1947, in Detroit, Mich., to Albert and Venita Bond Enowski. His mother survives in Eldon. On July 30, 1987, he was married in Eureka Springs, Ark., to Bee Proctor, who survives at the home.
Mr. Enowski was a graduate of Eldon High School and was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eldon and Eldon VFW Post 2442. He was employed with Nuclear Chicago as an electronic technician for 13 years and then farmed in the Eldon and Olean area.
Also surviving him are a stepson, David Brewner of Moberly; two sisters, Mary Williamson of Hallsville and Joan Harrell of Eolia; two brothers, Gene Enowski of Olean and Bob Enowski of Russellville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eldon with Father James O.Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Spring Garden Cemetery under the directon of Weber and Sons Funeral Home in Russellville.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.

Gloria Koetting Robinson
Gloria Koetting Robinson, 67, of Eldon died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000, at University Hospital in Columbia.
She was born March 23, 1933, in Versailles to George and Gladys Bennett Koetting. She was first married to Bill Hunter. On March 23, 1985, she was married at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Eldon to Jack Robinson, who survives at the home in Eldon.
Mrs. Robinson was a 1951 graduate of Versailles High School. For many years she was a hairstylist, working from a shop in her home at Versailles. In 1981, she moved to Jefferson City and from 1982 until 1985, she worked as a stylist at Hamilton Towers, a senior citizens apartment complex. At the time of her death, she was clerk for Judge Pat Scott, associate circuit judge in Morgan County.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Eldon United Metholdist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Laura Hunter of Jefferson City, Julia Bryant of Parkville, Jane Campbell of Fort Campbell, Ky., Jackie Witte of Stover, and Debra Finley of Columbia; two sisters, Mary White of Sedalia and Missouri - Columbia in 1955. He was employed by the Calif., and Phillip Prouty of the home; a brother,Bill Prouty of Rolla; a half-sister, Shirley Gilmore of Hancock; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Eldon United Methodist Church. The body will be cremated in keeping with Mr. Prouty's wishes. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
The family requests no flowers. Memorials are suggested to Gateway Industries of Eldon or the Eldon United Methodist Church.

James Harlan Deardeuff
James Harlan Deardeuff, 67, of Meta died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at his home.
He was born June 1, 1933, in Dixon to Thurman and Ina Morrison Deardeuff. On Oct. 3, 1953, he was married in Dixon to Mary Gan, who survives at the home.
Mr. Deardeuff was graduated from Dixon High School in 1950. He worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis until he was drafted into the Army. He served during the Korean Conflict from May 27, 1953, until May 26, 1955. He then worked for the Texas, and Hazel Wilson of Meta; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with the Rev. Ed Luebbering and the Rev. Manuel Seaton officiating. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery with military graveside honors.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

Kenneth Eugene Ferguson
Kenneth Eugene Ferguson, 67, of Versailles died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City.
He was born June 21, 1934, in Kansas City, Kan., to Charles and Effie Stroud Ferguson. He was married to Paula McCollum, who died in 1987.
Mr. Ferguson was a police officer in Garnett, Kan.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Muretta Farr, Donnie Snow and Mike Kohen, all of Versailles, and Frank Farr of Stover.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home of Eldon.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.

Bertie Ann Hughes
Bertie Ann Hughes, 93, of Eldon died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Eldon Health Care Center in Eldon.
She was born April 7, 1907, in Illmo, Mo., to James Bertle and Gertrude Jane Burnett Barnett. On Aug. 1, 1925, she was married in Granite City, Ill., to Macy Edward Hughes, who died Jan. 12, 1997.
Mrs. Hughes was a member of the Christ the King Lutheran Church, the Bethany Lutheran Church and the National Council of Senior Citizens.
Surviving are two daughters, Gertrude Jane Neely of New Bloomfield and Lois June Miller of Eldon; a sister, Gertrude Jane Bellville of Ferguson; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steve Riordan officiating. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens at Barnett.
Memorials are suggested to Christ the King Building Fund.

Rita Q. Smith
Rita Q. Smith, 83, of Eldon died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, in Jefferson City.
She was born July 13, 1917, in Moselle to Eugene and Eileen Vick. On Feb. 9, 1945, she was married in Harrisonville to Marcus O. Smith, who died Sept. 21, 1995.
Mrs. Smith had lived in Eldon since 1969 and was a well-known wildlife artist.
Surviving her are two sons, Mike Smith and William E. Pendarvis, both of Eldon; two daughters, Mary Farmer of Lee's Summit and Rita Moulder of Camdenton; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Ruby Watts, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon with the Rev. Jasper Hunter officiating. Burial was in Greenmore Memorial Gardens at Barnett.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
