E.M. Blackman
Eathel May Blackman, daughter of the late Wesley Baker Bond and Matilda Richardson Bond was born at McLeansboro, Ill. on May 14, 1897, and died in the Dexter Memorial Hospital on June 21, 2001, at the age of 104.
She was united in marriage to Earl Blackman at Bloomfield on April 17, 1913. To this union six children were born. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1964.
Mrs. Blackman was a school teacher at White Oak School in Bernie for several years. She was a member of the Sugar Tree General Baptist Church of Bernie where she served as secretary and treasurer for 30 years. She also served as secretary and treasurer for the General Baptist Association for 40 years.
She is survived by two sons, O.E. Blackman of Bernie and Delmer E. Blackman of Dexter; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four daughters, Etoil Cayts, Vivian Botsch, Melba Blackman and Hazel Blackman.
Friends may call at the Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie on Saturday, June 23, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey Chapel in Bernie, Sunday, June 24, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dell Blackman officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery with Rainey Funeral Home of Bernie in charge of arrangements.

Verla Parker
Verla Mae Parker was a homemaker and had lived in St. Louis, Maine before moving to Dexter in 1990.
On Feb. 23, 1957, in Brockton, Mass., she was married to Robert L. Parker. He survives of Dexter.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Patricia Sarah Lamphier of Panama City, Fla.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Pansy Holt of Dexter; three brothers, Eli Macom of Reno, Nev., John Macom of Blue Hill, Maine; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.

Chloe Lawrence
Chloe Lawrence, a resident of Dexter, died on August 2, 2001, in the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on July 28, 2001, at the age of 67.

Fernie Julius
Fernie Julius was born on Sept. 25, 1929, in Puxico to the late Lestie and Minnie Mossman O'Neal and died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at her home near Puxico at the age of 70.

W. McCain
W. Alfred McCain was born on June 19, 1925, in West Frankford, Ill., and died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at his home in Marble Hill at the age of 74.

Jesse Martin
Jesse Martin was born on Jan. 24, 1902, in Southern Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 97.

Aline Land
Aline Loretta Land, a resident of Dexter, died Nov. 22, 1999, at her home.

Henry Jordan
The Rev. Henry Jordan was born on Jan. 11, 1927, in Portageville to the late Needham and Rosa Fourthman Jordan and died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital at the age of 72.

Oshal A. Wilson
Oshal Andrew Wilson was born on Feb. 22, 1926, in Bloomfield to the late Earl and Emmer Stewart Wilson and died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at the Madison Community Hospital in Madison Heights, Mich., at the age of 74.

Imogene Shipman
Imogene Shipman was born on Feb. 4, 1930, in Williamson County, Ill., to the late William Henry and Sylvia Irene Triplett Harper and died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 70.

Olen Hutchison
Olen Ray Hutchison, a resident of Quitman, Ark., was born on April 24, 1929, in Bloomfield to the late James David Hutchison and Roxie Owen Hutchison and died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at the age of 70.

Kermit Cookson
Kermit E. Cookson, the son of Buelah Klaffer Cookson and the late Otto Cookson, was born at Pontiac, Mich., on March 11, 1943 and died near Puxico on May 4, 2000 at the age of 57.

Dean Cooper
Deloit Dean Cooper, son of Anna Kathleen Shelden Cooper and the late Vader Elvis Cooper, was born at Swinton on Sept. 6, 1933 and died at his home in Bloomfield on May 5, 2000 at the age of 66.

William Norton
William Arvel Norton, a resident of Shook, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at the St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, at the age of 87.

Mary Lankford
Mary Evelyn Lankford, a resident of Essex, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Dexter at the age of 86.

Freeman Gaines
Freeman Gaines was born on Jan. 13, 1916, in Dexter to the late John Lee Gaines and Martha McCormick Gaines and died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital at the age of 84.

Roger White
Roger Dale White, a resident of Mountain Home, Ark., and formerly of the Bernie area, was born on June 28, 1944, in Winfield, Ala., to the late James A. White and Clara B. Fowler White and died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark., at the age of 55.

Janet Fister
Janet Gwen Morehead Fister, a resident of St. Charles, was born on Jan. 16, 1961, in Joliet, Ill., and died Monday, April 17, 2000, at her home at the age of 39.

Marion Fowler
Marion "Pete" Fowler, the son of the late Albert and Arel Wilson Fowler, was born near Gray Ridge on July 31, 1945, and died at the Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter on Dec. 11, 2000, at the age of 55.

Ruby Vanscyoc
Ruby Vanscyoc, the daughter of the late Oscar and Minnie Gray Buckhanan, was born in Puxico on Oct. 12, 1904, and died at the Pine Lawn Residential Care #2 in Puxico, on Dec. 13, 2000, at the age of 96.

Linda S. Fowler
Linda S. Fowler, the daughter of Lloyd and Thelma Brown, was born in Poplar Bluff, on Nov. 25, 1945, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Dec. 13, 2000, at the age of 55.
